I've been going to Angelina's for a very long time and has been a local staple. I have always been happy with the food. Unfortunately they changed ownership recently and while the food is still good it's not great and the service is very slow. Meatballs and spaghetti is still very good and the pizza is good but seems like a slow turnover and sits out for a while. read more

I missed eating Italian food because of my gut issues but Angelina's provides high quality and delicious alternatives. Food was mediocre, but service and private room was excellent. The restaurant was just renovated and we we're the first to use the private room in the back of the restaurant. At least 40 guests were in the room. Nice big space for the kids to run around and not be in anybody's way. Service was excellent but there was a long wait for main courses. Maybe that was planned by the couple setting up the event. The first dish served was sliced mozzarella and tomatoes. The tomatoes we're bland. Next we had stuffed mushrooms with a generous amount of red sauce. I think they used the sauce to cover up the dry overcooked mushrooms, not good. The next dish was the calamari, that was the best thing we ate. Very tender just out of the fryer. Salad was bland wilted yellow iceberg lettuce. Main meal was ok but both chicken dish and veal tasted exactly the same. Sauce was bland. They were very busy on a Saturday night, maybe the pizza is better than the other meals. read more

Our large group of fifteen were finally apprised of the 'Undisclosed Location'...Angelina's. Checked Yelp and found several mixed reviews. Even dined at the once infamous Felidia's back in the day and even her kitchen, God bless them, couldn't fully convince me. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, I don't know..anyway. Angelina's - quantity over quality. Lucky for me. Should I say lucky? Yes, luck is the best word to use. So, lucky for me I wasn't feeling that well and had no appetite. At first, I only had hot beverages to soothe the soul as large portioned apps of fried calamari and mozzarella sticks were passed around...umm no thank you, I'll stick to my tea. Once the mains were served, I finally succumbed to a small taste of the ginormous eggplant ricotta pizza pie, as I do favor eggplant a bit. My first fork full was an instant recognition of bland, no distinguishing herbs stood out nor was there any depth of flavor in the sauce or the ricotta. Other mains were strewn about the table but I had no desire to indulge further. It could've been due to a lack of appetite, but I asked around and the consensus hovered around the same. If it weren't for the pleasant staff and the company of these wonderful group of gals my rating would be bordering more on the side of zero. Came here with my husband on a Saturday night without a reservation but were able to get a table right away. We were starving and definitely over ordered. I had the chicken with cheese and broccoli and my husband had the sausage and chicken with peppers. We also ordered the monachina. Everything was delicious. The portions were pretty big, we had to take our food home! I ordered the rigatoni montanara. Again, the grilled chicken was dry. To my taste, the pasta was over done ( I like al dente pasta). My father had the special which was artichokes, fusilli, and shrimp, olives, and tomatoes. He said it was good and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I haven't tried their pizza in years. If I go back I will update my review. The service was good. When they got the order for my salad wrong, they quickly fixed it and brought out the correct salad. Located right in the heart of Lynbrook on a street surrounded by stores to suit your every need (stationary, ice cream parlor, movie theatre...) Angelina's is the type of restaurant that once you have eaten there, you are sure to be a returning customer. I can definitely vouch for that because I used to frequent Angelina's often when I lived in the area. Prices are extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of food they serve you. Excellent homemade soups - I ordered the Pasta e Fagioli and it was loaded with beans and pasta in a perfect tomato broth. The serving of Lasagna was enormous - I ordered the special ($11.95) and it also came with a side of 3 meatballs. The menu is extensive including an abundance of specialty pies. Delicious desserts as well. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Nice bar area and tables as you enter the restaurant so even if there is a wait when you get there, after a couple of drinks it really doesn't matter anyway, it's worth the wait!!. Weekends are always extremely busy and unfortunately, they do not take reservations. There is on the street parking and ample parking in the back. A nice big private party room is also available for that special occasion. Angelina's is just a great restaurant to go to for a great Italian meal. This review is long overdue. Angelina's is a solid 3-Star Italian restaurant in Lynbrook. Especially with so many Italian venues to choose from across Long Island (in just about every time), competition is fierce. Angelina's can best be wrapped up in 3 words: reliable, efficient, and value. Over the years, I've both dined in and ordered to go at Angelina's. The menu is fairly standard and familiar for anyone who knows Long Island Italian cuisine. In addition to a full-service Pizzeria (separated from the main dining room), Angelina's serves pastas and other meat/chicken/veal/fish entrees (think your standard chicken parmigiana, penne alla vodka, meatball hero, etc). If you're dining in, they also provide fresh bread and olive oil and butter at the table, and most entrees come with a house or Caesar salad. Sound familiar? Again, it's the standard at most Italian restaurants around these parts. Also standard here is the service and quality. As I mentioned earlier, this place is reliable. Every time I come here, the food is always the same (very good quality) and the service is friendly and efficient. The place is also kept clean and the prices are fair for this kind of cuisine.
