Atmosphere was okay. Sinatra playing continuously. Ordered veal parm with homemade ziti. Veal stacked on top of each other, so only one piece had cheese. Veal dried out, and laid on top of the rubbery ziti. Obviously they precooked the pasta and reheated it. Very overpriced for what you got. Spouse had basic spaghetti and meatballs with sausage. One meatball that was very tough and sausage had decent taste. Sauce on both dishes very sparse. So overall not a very good meal and a piece of cake that was ice cold. read more

My husband and I were staying in town and wanted somewhere close by to where we were staying. We walked from our hotel and avoided the valet fee. This place did not disappoint! I am Italian from NY and this would be one of the top 5 Italian places I've been to. We went early, 5:30 for dinner and it was such a hack. It was quiet and we didn't have to wait. We were seated inside to the left of the host stand. It was quiet, which was great. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was so attentive and kept checking on us. For food, the bread was delicious and warm. We loved the oil with the parm cheese. For an app, we split the caprese salad. It was delicious! The tomatoes weren't in season and the whole dish needed more seasoning, but still tasty. For mains, my husband got the lobster your way with the 3 cheese Alfredo. It was a generous portion and had a ton of lobster! I got the seafood special pasta. It was so delicious! The pappardelle was homemade and you could tell! It was Al dente but still chewy. The seafood was cooked well and I loved the creamy, garlicky tomato sauce. To finish, I had an espresso which was strong and delicious. Hands down our favorite restaurant in Maine! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the beverages are spot on, service is top notch and the food is superb! And the valet is the cherry on top (it is now complimentary but we knew it was a steal at $5)!! We have gone to many of the other places on par with Angelina's and what sets them apart is the owner on site. David truly cares about your experience and is dedicated to ensure every visit is up to his standard of excellence. We only wish we were not seasonal so we could enjoy their fabulous hospitality all year long, but we are grateful to enjoy them from May to October. I was very disappointed in the owner David, every year I come here with my family and stay at the Cliff House in our family ritual of nine people is to go eat at Angelina's, every year we make a reservation two months in advance and every year we have the same problem. They always tell us they can't accommodate us and we did not make a reservation. I don't understand why this restaurant with the amount of people that come to eat their good food, they do not have a better system to accommodate the customers . They need to have an updated system so that you could have a reference number instead of the owner arguing and making a scene and making my daughter who is pregnant On top of it. the food wasn't as good as it has been in the past the ravioli lobster was dry hard and the sauce was watered down seeing that Maine is the main supplier of lobster. I would recommend everybody when you're making a reservation to get the first and last name of the individual and then call back another month before you go and get the name of another person because they make you feel like you're an idiot when you're at the counter and they belittle you in front of other customers. Think twice there's other Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. Joe What's amazing is the owner responded with his typical ignorance and saying yes we could've made a mistake. We're only human and yes, you did accommodate my family, but you did make my daughter look and feel like an idiot. You put a pregnant woman in stress. Once again, nobody told you what Customer personification is just because you may be rich and you have one of the good Italian restaurants in town. You don't treat people like you have and don't post garbage and threaten people about not coming to your place. It's a good place for families, no one can tell which kid is misbehaving! The food is ok and the prices are ok. I myself like a quieter place, but I'm old and don't have the patience that younger people do, I would never complain because families need places to go, but I will go elsewhere. There were 11 of us. The service was the best we've experienced in a long long time. The busser and server were extremely attentive and tremendously friendly, tolerant and kind. The food was delicious and plentiful. The kids got smaller portions and were happy, happy , happy. Great dessert options and all that we ordered were delicious. I can't recommend Angelina's highly enough. It capped off a fantastic 82nd birthday celebration. As usual, we went here for my wife's birthday dinner. And as always we had a great meal with great service. Due to it being tourist season, they were full and very busy, so of course there was a lag in getting served, but that's to be expected. We made reservations and were seated promptly when we arrived. We went to Angelina's twice this week, both times we had great service from our waiter and all the other staff (water replenish, grated cheese and ground pepper offerings). Pasta was al dente, sauce was fine but not as good as Mom's, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Portions were generous and we took home enough for lunch. Dining room was pleasant and clean, one night we ate on the porch which was well heated and comfortable even on a Dec night. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Went on Wednesday for my birthday dinner and had a 6:30 res. No problem sitting right down in a cozy booth. They had some nice specials but we both went for the seafood pasta chefs specialty, Pasta Melange. It's the third time I've had it and was awesome as usual, loaded with lobster, tiger shrimp and scallops in a creamy sauce over home made pappardelle pasta....pure perfection. Got serenaded happy birthday by our server, Morgan, who did a great job all evening. She recommended our luscious desert...woopie pie layered cake with salted caramel gelato. Delish! My friend and I had a terrible time at this restaurant due to the manager named David. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. To be honest, the food is really quite good. We definitely enjoyed the food. But upon entering the restaurant, this guy David immediately started yelling at us apparently for standing in the walkway as we were courteously waiting for the hostess to seat us. Then we saw him verbally abuse someone else. Really inappropriate and terrible manners.This guy really just need to retire and let other people handle the customer service. We had a lovely evening at Angelina's tonight. From the greeting and seating, to service everything was top notch. The fresh baked rolls and dipping oil were delicious, and our entrees were so good. We had fettuccine Alfredo, and lobster pasta in a garlic butter sauce and both were so tasty, with pasta being made in house. Terrible service, food was good. We were in there for at least a half hour, before we even got to order anything, we ordered, and the guy got everything wrong. We decided to give another chance since he had no idea what we were saying. After eating my friend ordered a wine, which was never brought to us, he thought he may be able to get a dessert, but no one ever came back you ask us if we wanted dessert so we had to go find our waiter so we could pay our check, we will be thinking twice about going again. My friend wanted Italian so I did my usual Yelp search and found Angelina's. Seating was outdoor due to guidelines. The parking lot made into a pleasant setting for dinner with flowers hanging and music playing. Plus a beautiful evening made for a perfect night. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Always checking in but not overbearing. The menu was incredible and so many options. It took us about 10 minutes to to get through the choices and narrow down our final options. I had heard this the meal was an experience and that was not fake news. You were not rushed and had the time to to experience the food, the cocktails and the evening. The food was incredible and more than we both could handle. But oh, it was so worth it. I prefer the outside for the atmosphere but imagine the inside is just as charming. From the outside, you might drive by and not notice or even give it much time or consideration. The place kind of blends in a bit and in comparison to the other buildings around you might drive by. I'm not sure how to review Angelina's. I've been coming every year since 2006, except for 2020, and 2021 of course. Since then they added Valet parking, which is required if you parked in there lot, which used to be free. Now they charge a 5.00 valet fee on your tab. However the valet parking staff doesn't get the 5.00. So you need to take care of the drivers separately. Why do they call it a Valet fee??? It should be a parking fee on their own lot! The food is always delicious at Angelina's, however If you order a simple salad it's 13.50. The other prices for entrees are reasonable. Service was fair, our server didn't seem to be very attentive. The main problem is the wooden partitions between the table. They are about 8' high and ARE NOT attached to anything. So while we were sitting at the table, my fiancé looked like she was going to get hit with the patrician about to fall over. No problem, it didn't fall. However at the end of the people's meal across the room. When they got up, their patrician did fall over against the window and the small 2 top table behind it. Luckily there were no guests seated there. When I talked to the manager. He said they were there for Covid, but now he says the guests want them. They are very obtrusive, and are a little dangerous. I'm not sure the guests want that. What they did do was restrict the access to your seat. Your going to hit the patrician every time you sit down. All in all Angelina's is a nice restaurant. As a prior owner of a small chain of restaurants in Fl and Ct. I believe Angelina's needs to re-think some of their services. I will be back though, this fall. read more

We had awesome dinner last evening here. We were a party of 6. David(owner brought us to our table abs adjusted the screen on the patio so the sun was not is our face .our beverages were yummy. The food was delicious, we started with the chopped salad, bruschetta, then our entrees were , the swordfish special with Israeli Coccus, feta and other delicious ingredients , lobster with basil lemon sauce, veal piccata , Haddock Frans, pasta bolognese, Chicken piccata. We shared the wedding cake for dessert along with the most delicious expresso martinis . Our server Isadora was 5 Star ,very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and she took great care of us . My wife and I went on vacation to avoid being home for the 1 year anniversary of our son's death at 26. We went out to dinner to Angelina's restaurant and were told by the valet service that they could not park our car unless we had a reservation -- no exceptions. I replied that I would speak to the host. We went in and my wife explained and the host graciously found us a table. This meal was in the top five meals I have ever had (I am 62 and have eaten at the Tavern on the Green in NYC -- a five star as well as many other excellent restaurants). I had the 3 cheese fettucine with lobster and my wife had the eggplant parmesan. Both were beyond excellent and the portions were so generous that we had to bring some home so that we might have room to at least look at the dessert menu. We went for the profitirole with chocolate gelato and again found excellence! The service was exceptional. The ambiance was wonderful. All in all, a delicious meal on a sad day. We went to Angelina's for dinner this evening. It is a restaurant that we go to every time we visit this area and something we all look forward to. Unfortunately, tonight was a terrible experience. Our group of 6 ordered drinks and then appetizers. While we were eating our appetizers, we ordered 3 chocolate martinis. Some time later, the server came by to let us know the bartender was alone, and it would be a few more minutes. We finished our appetizers and were served our entrees. Still no drinks. We finished our meals and the staff packaged them to go. Then our drinks arrived. We let them know that we didn't want the drinks as we were done with our meal. The server went to let the manager know. The manager came to our table and told us that they would package the drinks to go. We indicated that we didn't want them to go. The manager then told us we would have to pay for them anyway. When I told him that we waited half an hour for the drinks he said that he helped make them and it wasn't half an hour. I again let him know that we had appetizers, dinner, and had our meals packaged before the drinks were brought to us. The manager then told us that he would call the police if we didn't pay for the drinks. We told him to call them. Several minutes later, he came back and said he spoke to the owner and they would take the drinks off the check. Great job Angelina's....after spending $360, we were embarrassed by the manager and threatened with the police. We were not rude or loud but felt that we shouldn't have to pay for their service issue. read more

If you are driving here and want to eat here, there is no choice on the valet parking, and they add the $5 valet charge to your bill. The food was very good, the service was very good. We ordered the chicken Milanese and the chicken Francaise on top of a small serving of pasta. The Milanese came with roasted potatoes which was a different twist for me on this dish. They brought out delicious rolls with an amazing dipping oil. For dessert we shared a delicious chocolate tart filled with chocolate mousse. read more
