I was in Houston for work two nights ago and arrived at the Hampton Suites around 9:30 pm. Hungry from a long flight, I headed straight to the hotel bar and asked if they are still serving food. Fortunately, the bartender said yes and handed me a fairly generic menu that included a few pizzas. I figured pizza was easy to eat in my room and gambled on a pepperoni/olive to go. It was delivered to the bar within 20 minutes and I saw that the box indicated it was Space City Pizza (they do not have these in the SF Bay Area so I was not familiar). I figured it was going to be "hotel pizza" (which is generally nasty; a last resort for weary travelers). I paid and headed to my room stat to get a slice down my gullet before unpacking and all that. Then WOW - it was an absolutely delicious pizza.. I mean, up there with anything from the Bay Area, Chicago, NYC... I could not believe it. Hotel pizza??? So I hit up Yelp and saw that they are near the hotel and have an affinity to service their pies to guests via the bar/restaurant. Instead of unpacking, I opted to finish my dinner (half was ample) because it was so hot and tasty. I don't normally save food on the road - since I'm usually out and about with clients and plenty of meals on the company card - but I had to save this in the mini-fridge. This morning I was headed out to the airport and literally packed the remaining slices in a clean, plastic dry cleaning bag and carefully put it in my backpack for the trip. I have never done this, lol. When back home I immediately popped it in the microwave and finished what was left. I mean... that is not my style! But I had to enjoy it again (it heated up fine, but never as good as fresh, of course). I know it's kind of gross to think of carrying cold pizza on a plane - but hey, it's that good. And I haven't posted on Yelp in a long while but was inspired. So there you go! I can't speak to the other items, the service or the restaurant atmosphere, but this was a damn good pizza and I highly recommend! read more

Points for small businesses and freshness of food. Got the wings in hot buffalo sauce which were supremely mid. No celery or carrots or blue cheese or ranch available, which is a little odd. No breading on the wings either. Small little hole in the wall shop. read more

Terrible ‼ Very Very Bad !! Was really excited to try this place out as a friend recommended it & its Halal, however I do feel a little disappointed. The chicken Gyro I ordered was nice, good flavor and enough meat, but the fries were terrible, I ate a majority of them because I paid $4.99 for them! The girl behind the counter tho... wow, she was rude didn't greet me, or smile or say Hello, I had to initiate all of that... and seemed to think I was about to rob the place, even tried to overcharge me !! As I made my order she over quoted the cost of everything ... as I'm looking at the menu, she tells me it's the old version and the prices I initially saw were incorrect. She never provided me the "new" menu prices and then proceeded to make up some numbers off the top of her head ... i did ask her to be honest and then the price went down she wasnt very friendly and was unwelcoming ... I ate in and the table was wonky and creaking, and a fan was set on high whirring in my face ... felt like I was being punk'd. It's the only restaurant that i've ever seen have a sink in the corner without any privacy just so random. Best thing about the place was the Free Quran they have stacked up. Alhamdulliah. I wont be returning. May Allah guide them to better reviews. 2/5 1 for the Gyro & 1 for the Free Quran. read more

I was very satisfied at this restaurant. Because of coronavirus, I have been taking almost all of my orders from restaurants to be pickup orders, so I did not actually go inside to pick up my order at this restaurant. So I cannot say anything about the interior or the restaurant restrooms, but the person over the phone who took my order seemed to be very appreciative of our business. He made a few other suggestions for halal food for my family, which I appreciated, such as wings and pasta. I did not order more than just a pizza this time, which was more than enough for my husband and I. I wanted pepperoni and my husband wanted chicken, so we had half and half. They gave marinara and a chutney with the pizza, and I liked the chutney more than any other desi restaurant I've been to. It wasn't super watered down, which is a pet peeve of mine. The pizza was delicious. I'm looking forward to getting pasta next time, along with more Detroit style pizza! read more

Our family decided to give this a try. Glad we did. We ordered 3 different pizzas to sample the flavors and crust styles. Detroit style- meat lovers. 4/5. Was good but could have used some more cheese to help crisp the edges. Chicken Tikka - hand tossed 4/5. Decent pizza. Good balance of flavors/toppings/crust. Lacking in the masala flavor I was hoping for. Desi style meat lovers -crispy crust 5/5. Great tasting pizza with a spicy kick. Only confused that this crust seemed identical in thickness and texture to the hand tossed. They earned our business and we will be back to try some of the other specialty pizzas next time. read more

Why 3 stars? Because I unfortunately did not love much about Space City. --- --- --- During the first football Sunday of the season, we decided to order some pizza and wings. I was the only one amongst the group that had tried Detroit style pizza, so I was excited to show it off to my family. I ordered a 4-cheese, a meat lovers and some BBQ/Mango Habanero wings. The cheese pizza was fine, but it was kind of annoying that a bunch of cheese was stuck to the top of the pizza box. And a few minutes after we'd ordered, we were told that they were out of ham and bacon and that they could replace them with sausage and beef halal. We were fine with that, but to be honest, I just didn't love these flavors on the pizza. Maybe it would have been better as it was originally intended, but none of us were very impressed. As for the wings, they were also just okay. The BBQ wings just had a drizzle of BBQ sauce on them. I ordered ranch to come with them, but they did not give us any. The mango habanero was an interesting flavor, at least. Next time, we will probably be opting for another option for football food. read more

Pretty good pizza... I've had this joint bookmarked for quite some time, and we finally gave way on a recent evening for a pick-up order. First, the order was correct and made fresh to order. By the time it arrived at our home (pickup order -- we live about 5 minutes from SH 146 off NASA 1) it needed a couple minutes in the toaster oven. I am a Detroit-style snob, and this passed the test ... for this area. I could stand a slightly crispier crust on the outside with a little fluffier on the interior. The cheese was fine. Pepperoni on a legit Detroit-style is cupped. Not the case here, but not bad in any way. Sauce here is really good. Tangy. Thin crust here is sort of an anomaly. It pretends to be NY style, but it's closer to those 60-second pizza joints where you build your own. It's decent, but became very floppy on the 15-minute drive home. Again, nothing a toaster oven can't fix. Would I order pizza here again? Absolutely. read more

Do not waste your money here! The lady at the front was rude and the environment was depressing and dirty. For a large pizza it was 24 dollars but it was a regular small sized pizza that was the equivalent to pizza patron. Very over priced :( the chicken parm sandwich looked NOTHING like the photo, it only had some dry boiled chicken, cheese, and marinara. Definitely stick to the pizza not the sandwiches. The environment was just really off putting, not suitable for dine in. Over all very sad and disappointing experience :( read more

New owners for this long-standing restaurant. The menu has changed a bit...the no longer serve pizza by the slice. Still, they have pizzas, gyros, and shwarma. I really enjoy the pizza. The sauce is interesting, a little sweeter and different from what places normally serve. The crust is so light and chewy. Staff was very friendly. Nice local place. Good deal, friendly fellas. Large two topping is less than $9 carryout. The gentleman says they deliver within a 5 mile radius. Taste is great, cheese is thick and they aren't scrooge mcduck with the toppings. They also have desserts. Will try one of their halal pizzas soon. read more

Customer service is Neolithic at best. They will take your delivery order, then call you to demand you pick up because they don't have a driver. Then hang up on you when you ask to cancel the order. The owner/manager Anna condones this behavior from the staff because they are "busy". Avoid this headache and find bar pie elsewhere. read more

I honestly think this place is one of my top ranks for halal pizza in Houston! I always get a large chicken tikka and a large pepperoni and its always been INCREDIBLE. They also have Detroit style pizza which is great too! I have not tried any of their sides or wings but would def try it next time! Friends and fam have also tried their pizza and say its amazing! I order ahead of time on their website and get 15% off so thats a plus! It does take a while sometimes so would give it a minimum of 30 minutes before you go pick it up! Oh did I love the pizza. Very unique to the Houston area even though it's all the way in clear lake. I would definitely go back for the specialty pizzas here. They have several fusion pizzas that are uncommon to find in Houston. Chicken tikka pizza, kabob pizza, and several unique types of pizzas. New in town and in search of a good gyro. This was not a good experience. Gyro meat was whatever. Pita was meh. The kicker is that I ordered online and the online description says tzatziki sauce. Great, so I order extra. When I pick up the order, the clerk hands me a cup of red sauce and says "here is your extra sauce." I tell him no, I wanted extra tzatziki sauce. He was so puzzled. I then said you know, the white sauce. Again, puzzled. He goes in back, talks to someone and comes back with a couple packets of ranch dressing. I was now confused but ready to leave. I took the ranch packets, my take-out and left. When I got home, the gyro had some sort of white sauce that was neither tzatziki nor ranch so not sure what I ate. I did eat it but will never order another one. In fact, I wanted to try the pizza to but, after that experience, I won't be going back. The red sauce, btw, was hot sauce. SMH. read more

They have a halal menu as well as a non halaal menu, so be sure to specify if you're looking for halal. They also have Detroit style pizza, which is not served by a lot of places in the Houston area. I've come for a while and took a hiatus; after trying it again a year later, either my memory of 5-stars was faulty or it's changed hands. The menu is straight forward, now, when it had a bit more personality before. I used to get the Motown (2 types of pepperoni) or Bee Sting (pepperoni and honey), and now they've got cheese, pepperoni--just the usuals. The crust is different, much less greasy, which I guess is ok but it makes for a more bread-like crust than the crispy indulgence I used to enjoy. I'm not saying it's bad, but before boyfriend's heart attack, I used to drive out of my way to come here to get "the good stuff." Now it's just "the good enough." read more
