I've notice this non-commercialized pizza restaurant, Antonio's Pizza-Rant, on a daily basis but have never walked in, until this evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The scent of garlic sauce was flowing in the air as I approached the front counter and met with the owner, Antonio, who immediately was a verified people person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The big pizza ovens and toppings counter was very clean which exemplifies the work ethic of a proud owner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I grabbed one slice of a cheese pizza which only set me back $3.25 thats much lower than other pizza slices sold in the area. The pleasantly hot slice instantly put a smile on my face. An extreme necessary char on the bottom with a flawless crispy crust. Some pizza enthusiasts enjoy an over doughy pizza, I loathe it. This glorious slice was medium to well done and it passed the flop test. Now, the highly anticipated first bite onto the front edge while starring at the glistening oily cheese. Took long chews from this initial bite and was overwhelmed by an explosion of flavor with the excitement of the char bottom crackling with every chew. My daughter, a self proclaimed pizza fanatic, also took a big bite and we immediately glanced at each other and started laughing in awe that the taste was superb and oddly unexpected. An easy 8.7/10 pizza rating. This restaurant has a complete Italian based menu. They offer very good deals for lunch entrees for about $12.00. Includes soup or salad with three garlic rolls. The pizza was excellent, but I was blown away by the friendly service. I ordered takeout so it's not a big deal but the owner or manager treated me like I was the best customer he had ever seen. We usually go to Enzo's in Sunrise for pizza at lunchtime, but the sauce on this pizza was much more flavorful. The service was fast and very pleasant! I accidentally dropped my credit card on the way out and I didn't realize it was missing until the next afternoon. I panicked and couldn't remember the name of the restaurant! I had ordered delivery from this place I paid 50 dollars for a large pizza and mozzarella sticks I don't care about the price but the food has to be good, this food was not good at all. The mozzarella sticks were stale and cold, the pizza was cold and also stale and super soggy. My girlfriend and I only ate half a slice each and threw the rest out. I used to love and visit the location in Southwest Ranches many many times for many many years so I was excited to order today at this davie location. I ordered the chicken Parm dinner for pick up. I asked for no sauce on the spaghetti..the spaghetti plain please. i go pick it up & go home. ok the spaghetti is no sauce perfect! but the chicken parm has no sauce as well in an entirely separate container ... dry as dirt... & the chicken is very weird and fake looking inside... especially with no sauce on it ..waste of $22. then I go to eat the salad, I asked for two salad dressings and I only received one, and the salad dressing already had a piece of lettuce inside of it before I even opened it up... lmfao. We got Fettuccine Alfredo, I will say that it needed a bit of flavor but the actual noodles them self were nice.
