I've driven by a few times now and finally, I had an opportunity to stop in and grab some pizza. The parking lot is enough to fit a few cars and there are a few tables outside on the covered porch. Inside you'll find more booths and tables - plenty of space for a decent-sized group. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I went with a plain cheese pizza and it was pretty good! The crust was thick, fluffy, but also airy and light. They certainly didn't skimp on the cheese which was browned nicely. The sauce was pleasantly sweet. There was a little bit of cheese slide, but I didn't mind too much. Overall, I'm happy with Angelos and would happily return for more. read more

We drive by this place all the time and finally stopped in after a day of Christmas shopping. Cute, busy, clean little pizza joint. We ordered a small chicken and spinach calzone and a small veggie pizza. We waited 40 minutes for our food. The calzone was hot and delicious. The pizza was loaded with veggies but Luke warm(assuming because it was sitting around while the calzone was still in the oven.) All in all, I'd recommend Angelo's. read more

Every time we've ordered the pizza sauce has been old and congealed. Pizza arrives lukewarm despite being 1 mile from the restaurant. That being said, there isn't anywhere else in-town where you can order a cheeseburger and fries and get it delivered. Every few months we give them another chance, and at every turn are disappointed. read more

Disgusting! I am pretty easy going, but this is intolerable. I ordered a BLT and it came with extremely minimal lettuce and tomatoes and was loaded with a crumble pork meat that reminded me of shank ham all chopped into little pieces. No bacon! GROSS! Love that I can stop in for a slice or two on my own. Employees are fantastic and it smells amazing. Hubby and I often order impulsively from this place on our way home. Dat magnificent pizza perfume will pull us in helplessly as we try to drive past on Main Road. Often we'll be returning from a Bangor outing and one of us will start up with "I'm hungry, what were we going to do for dinner? - How bout I call Angelos for take out?", and the other always gives in. Who can resist cheesy, doughy, italian cured-meat goodness? We've ordered COUNTLESS times and our orders are always accurately fulfilled and always delicious. This place makes delicious pizza. So the question is, why did I rate them so low? SImply put, they are very expensive $14 for a two topping pizza is outrageous. Also their customer service is just horrible. I have called and ordered and they took my order down and just plain forgot. This didn't happen once but three times! When I talked to them, they told me they were sorry. They did nothing to make it right. Clearly they don't want my weekly purchases. I like their pizza but not their customer service and not their prices. I'm done with them. Update: The owner called me that night and apologized. He offered me two free Pizza's and thanked me for my feed back. We were both polite to each other and he kept my as a customer. read more

Love living close enough to get delivery! My kids love the bacon pizza and I love their meatball subs! Delivery is always faster than they say it will be but we live super close. You can eat in but you have to get your own silverware, drinks, plates, and bus your own table. They will bring the food out to you sometimes or you come to the counter to get it. Either way I'm good with all that. You can get a free 2-liter if you pick up your pizza, not for delivery which is a bummer. read more

Pretty disappointed with Angelos as of late. The last two times we have ordered delivery from them, our food has arrived late and cold. Last night (Saturday), we put in an order for delivery via their website at approximately 6 p.m. Upon placing the order, the estimated time of arrival was 7 p.m. When our food still hadn't arrived by 7:45, I called to find out where it was and was told that it was "on the way." Keep in mind, we live not even 5 minutes from Angelos. About 20-25 minutes later, our food finally arrived cold and disgusting. My calzone was barely lukewarm, my husband's clam strips and fries were soggy and cold, and his haddock was terrible. When I called to complain, I was not even so much as offered an apology and was simply told that they had "a lot of deliveries tonight" and that they "only had one driver." How is it our problem that they only had one delivery driver? They should know better and have additional staff on the weekends. They know that they are much busier on the weekends than during the week and should be staffed accordingly. I was then offered a credit for our next order, even though we really just wanted a refund, but that was not offered as an option. We have been ordering from this Angelos ever since we moved to Hampden 11 years ago and we have never had any problems until recently. Very disappointing. I don't think we will be ordering again anytime soon. read more

Perfect pit stop on the way home with great food! It can be a bit crazy on a Friday night but the wait is worth it

It was my first time in and the reason I went was because I found easy online ordering and curbside pick up! I ordered and tracked my order .. I had designated a pick up time of 630 and the site stated it would be ready between 630-640. The directions said to call upon arrival. Once there, at 635, I checked the tracking and it stated 'order ready for pickup' . I called and no one answered .. I tried several other times and actually got a recording that no one was available. I went into pick up.. I mentioned the curbside pickup I requested and that no one answered .. the worker stated 'yes we are just busy'.. only part of my order was ready. In the 25 minutes that I waited .. a separate worker had a similar issue with a customer. The customer was clearly not pleased his order was not ready as order tracker stated it was ready. The worker advised that the online order system and in-house system are not synced up to exact same times ?! The worker that I spoke to did eventually start looking for the rest of my order and did state to another kitchen worker that my order was suppose to be ready at 630.. i thought times weren't synced? But she had my time correct?! it was now 645. I got my order and left at 700. The worker did apologize for delay. Oh yea.. the best part.. the entire 25 minutes that I stood and waited for my order .. the phone DID NOT STOP RINGING and none of the workers ever picked up a call. None of the 6 or so workers ever acknowledged it was even happening .. great trick because it about drove me crazy.. but at least I knew why the curbside pick up didn't work. Once back in my car I realized my boyfriend had been texting and calling to see if I was ok because the trip for pizza took awhile. I simply texted and said ' on way home..pick up was complete chaos' and he replied 'let's hope food is good' and I'm happy to say FOOD WAS GREAT.. had to warm part of it up in microwave but that's ok. On my ride home I decided I would write this review.. which I don't normally do. I am also a business owner and I think.. especially in these times.. it's still important to hear what's working and what's not working in a business. Many have made changes to accommodate these crazy times. I understand and am not trying to be critical but to offer some constructive feedback and a thought...for me, the reason I ordered from this business was because of location, easy online ordering and curbside pick up .. which is really important in these times.. I didn't want to stand in this place for 25 minutes around others. I understand it was a busy Friday night and orders were overwhelming.. but if your going to offer the changes like curbside pickup and allow the online system to make that offer .. at least make changes to the phone set up at your business to allow these customers to check in upon arrival. I suggest on the nights that orders are overwhelming and you don't want to accept more .. shut down the online ordering and set a message up on the in store phone.. ' thanks for calling but we are no longer accepting orders for this evening.. however if you are calling for curbside pickup please press 1' ..just a suggestion! I wish you well! read more

I love me some Angelos. Their cheese is awesome, the crust is pastry, and the sauce has the slightest hint of red wine. All in all, very nom. Staff is friendly, and I'm embarrassed to say I order there often enough that they know me by name. Free 2-ltr with each large pie is a great deal too. read more

I live about 8 houses down from Angelos and we order Angelos for delivery at least once a week. The food is good, but every time I call, I am made to feel like I am really putting them out. It is not unusual for me to call in an order for delivery that they say will take "at least an hour" or "an hour and a half" or even an hour and 45 minutes. The catch is that it never takes that long, usually never more than 30 minutes. So I guess my advice is to order, regardless of how they try to talk you out of it. The food is good, I just wish they actually wanted business. read more

Some of the best food in ME that there is. Their pizza is fantastic. If you like homemade crust that cannot be beat; this is your place. When you want extra cheese, believe me your going to get it. Calzones are crazy good and the lasagna is a portion size that I have only seen for a family "in a single serving and single serving price" no less. Thick with ricotta.
