I love this place SO much. I recently took the family on a trip to Maine. We only had one day in Bar Harbor and Acadia, but our trip was 100% planned so the timing allowed us to get to Bar Harbor at just the right moment to, well, get lunch at Lunch. Their sandwiches are incredibly tasty and creative. But my god, their clam chowder is to DIE for. So, so, so good. Plus, really nice atmosphere in their little establishment and the staff is so friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough. Wish I could be there more. read more

This was exactly what I was craving for lunch!! It has the most perfect lunch sandwiches. I ordered the #2 panini with grilled tandoori chicken and roasted garlic aioli. It was delicious! Perfect crisp and crunch of the bread with the wonderful garlic aioli. Inside has some places to sit and it is cute inside. The food took about 10-15 minutes to come out. Prices were very fair for ~$13 for the sandwich. I left so happy and wanted to come back! Love it here! read more

A really solid option for a quick pop-through sandwich when you want something good with enough selection for one or a small group. The menu gives you things from normal to exploratory fusion flavors. Solid bread options and a way to get what you want without being a chain. The one tip we found was to, if eating on the go, wait for your food outside as there is a bit of a likelihood you will pick up some of the grill smell quickly with how their airflow was. Solid stop; we were happy on the pick. Nearby other good pop-throughs making it a good location to use chaining to stores or sister shops. read more

Stopped by here for lunch while we were wandering around Bar Harbor. Lunch Bar Harbor is nestled in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. We were in the hunt for highly rated lobster rolls and this place came up. It's an order at the counter situation and they'll call out your name to pick up your food. They have seating inside but it is limited and pretty basic (ie: this isn't a place you go to for the atmosphere). My dining companion and I ordered lobster rolls, a cup of clam chowder to share, and potato salad to share. The lobster rolls are made Maine style (cold, lightly mayo coated lobster salad served on a toasted split roll). They had ample lobster and were tasty. The potato salad was also solid. The clam chowder was seriously out-of-this-world. It was absolutely the star of the show. I'll be dreaming about that chowder when it's the middle of winter in Wisconsin. The service was a little short and not overly friendly--but I get it. It's the end of the tourist season and folks could just be a bit tired. The prices are also a bit high (two lobster rolls, a small cup of chowder, and potato salad = $95). That chowder, though. read more

Nice little sandwich restaurant. The gentleman who took our order was originally from Ireland. He had a great personality and was super friendly. I got the #1 Italian sandwich along with a side of macaroni salad. My wife got the #3 Italian sandwich along with a side of potato salad. The sandwiches were very good and fresh. The pasta and macaroni salad were okay. There is only one restroom for either men or women. The door didn't quite shut properly but the restaurant was located in an older building. Was in Bar Harbor Maine and in the downtown area and ate down there but I wanted to try something a little further out of the main area and we found this restaurant. The menu is small and their hours are during lunch. I saw they had a good rating so we waited for them to open. I had the clam chowder and lobster roll and my wife had the #1 Italian sandwich with potato salad. I didn't know what to expect on the lobster roll but it tasted plain to me. But the clam chowder was very tasty and I would get it again. My wife's lunch was good. She couldn't finish the sandwich so I got the other half, did I say the lobster roll was small? My family and I loved our experience here! The guy at the register was very friendly & helpful as we ordered. He gave us free samples of their soup of the day which was good. We all got paninis that were sooo good! I went with the #6 which was a triple cheese panini and my sister and dad both got the #5 which was a ham & cheese panini with apples & balsamic glaze. We also got a bag of chips to share, and everything was amazing! I would definitely return to try their Clam Chowder & the Lobster Salad Panini! Best panini and tomato soup I've ever had in my whole life, not kidding. My boyfriend got an Italian sandwhich too that was amazing. We also tried a bit of the butternut squash soup, and it was life changing. The panini had apples, ham, cheddar, etc. The tomato soup was perfectly creamy with soft tomato pieces. If you're looking to bring a sandwich or other picnic oriented items with you to one of the many scenic spots in and around Bar Harbor, you can't go wrong with Lunch Soup & Sandwich. We phoned in an order (they're order online option appears to be broken) for the Italain #1 and the Special #2. We added drinks and potato salad. The we heads for Jordon Pond in Acadia National Park. The sandwiches were great and the potato salad was very good. We'll do it again the next time we're up that way for sure. Pro tip: If you're phone in an order, ask them about the specials. My fiancee would have loved one of the special sanwiches in the board when we arrived to pick up our phone order. read more

Great food, even better people! This was the cutest little sandwich shop (also sell soups and salad). This is an order at the counter and find a seat place which was honestly nice to avoid the wait times if you're a big party. Everyone's sandwich was delicious and fresh! Also the lovely older gentleman and his young assistant working behind the counter made our day!! We grabbed a seat by the window and enjoyed the charm of the decor inside. Wow! I walked in today randomly while running errands.. and I'm so glad I did! I'm starting this review off with saying that was the best sandwich I've ever had. First impression: The menu had a great variety of unique items. And the lady that worked the front register was so bright & cheery. It really made me feel welcomed. So even before I received my order I was feeling glad I chose to be there. There was plenty of space to find seating even with the multiple people already dining. And I LOVED the background music they were playing. It was also bright & cheery. I can't stand overly quiet lunch spots. I went with the Black Forest/Smoked Cheese/Apple/Balsamic panini. During my second bite I was already thinking "I am definitely coming back for this again." I'm usually not a smoked cheese fan but it did not over power the sandwich at all. The sandwich I had was better than I expected. It was a hoagie type of sandwich, but the spices on the bread and the condiments and freshness flowed well. This was through a foodie tour- so that may've helped. It seems this place is known for their sandwiches in general too- except their lobster roll. I don't normally think of this kind of place for a lobster roll and it sounds like they should take it off their menu. If I want lobster in Maine, I want it to be an experience. Maybe if I lived here, I wouldn't try to be so fussy. Staff is friendly. Casual and pretty fast here for food. read more

Slow service on busy weekends and getting adjusted as staff members happens and we definitely could've overlooked it but the staff did not apologize and none of the items were removed from our bill after waiting over an hour for the food to arrive. When it did arrive, the items were cold and we were eager to finish so we could start our day of hiking. Our past experience at 2 Cats was really great, but my partner was very disappointed with this visit and is not interested in returning.

Inside was very hot as AC didn't seem to be working. You order at the counter and the server will bring your food at the table. We got Joe's bowl and blue berry pancake. They seemed to have confused our order so they had to fix it but still our order came in relatively quickly. The joe's bowl looks kind if sad but the taste was good. The cheese probably should be melted at least. Blueberry pancake looked kind of lacking from the outside but once we got into it there was quite a bit of blue berry mixed in the batter. They were good with some butter and maple syrup. Service was ok they were busy but seemed to be bit hectic and disorganized. Overall, it's a ok breakfast spot. Not particularly better than typical breakfast restaurant. I suppose the name everyday joe's fitting for this restaurant.

The blueberry muffin and blueberry pancakes with the Maine maple syrup was super good. My friends got the blueberry syrup with blueberry pancakes and they said it was delicious! One of us tried the soup and they said it was a nice surprise. There are lots of ways to make a combo and so everything was pretty affordable too! It's also nearby the shopping district and there's tons of nice places to stroll around at after eating.

Spend that time wandering Main Street's shops, because the wait was worth the bite. The shrimp and scallop scampi arrived swimming in garlic, butter, and pasta (perfect fuel before a half marathon). My uncle's fish and chips delivered an actual deep-fried slab of fish, somehow golden and perfectly cooked. And then the seafood pie: crispy, flaky, golden on top in a way that looks borderline burnt but is actually just butter and scallops doing what butter and scallops do. This dish was basically chowder, piled high with fish... And some more fish, with a dash of chowder. Even the blueberry beer came through; we got Orono's Wicked Maine Blueberry Ale, packed with actual blueberries floating up and down. Yes, we paid tourist prices, but we got generous, delicious portions and full bellies.
