I knew I had an exhaust leak in my suburban. Someone referred me to Kenny at Angels Muffler Service. Kenny must have herd me coming because he greeted me as I pulled up and within a few minutes of looking under my vehicle, he knew exactly what the problem was and what it would take to fix it..It's great to work with the one person who answers the phone, provides the quote and does the work worked. It turns out I needed a 3" tail pipe from the muffler to chrome tip. I didn't go around town for pricing, but I felt Kenny treated me right with his price and timing. As I'm talking with Kenny waiting for my ride.. looking around his garage, don't be fooled my his clutter around...Kenny knows his stuff and he's been operating for 35 years! Ken did another excellent job on an install for me. I ordered a Gibson exhaust for our 4Runner with a Gibson sport square tip. When I dropped it off, I told Ken I really wanted the tip to be tucked up under the bumper, recessed etc. etc.... Ok, so I take in my sons 1986 Ford diesel truck that has such a bad exhaust leak that the windows had to be open to drive. The gentleman mentioned that he really didn't work on diesels, but would take a look. The exhaust pipe was loose at the turbo connection. He quickly put it back in place, did some welding, and voila! I just can't say enough about how impressed I am by the service provided here. During routine maintenance on my older Ford F150, it was discovered that I had a small exhaust leak just behind the catalytic converter. My mechanic recommended Angel's Service for this work. I also knew that the entire exhaust system had been somewhat cobbled together by the previous owner and it was a bit on the flimsy side. I left the vehicle with Ken to look over the situation. Within an hour he called with multiple solutions depending on how much upgrading I wanted to do. All options were extremely reasonable in price. I chose to go the least expensive route because I'm not sure how much longer I will hold on to this vehicle. Later when I went to pick up the repaired truck, Ken walked me around the vehicle pointing out the welds and repairs he had made. I was frankly stunned by the amount of work he had put in. He replaced all of the wimpy bolt-on hangers that were not doing a good job. Now everything was held in place by custom solid welded brackets to the frame. The difference is impressive. For two big reasons I highly recommend this shop for exhaust work. 1- Ken provided options. Often a shop will decide for you what needs to be done and how much it will cost. Ken put that power into my hands. 2- The work exceeded expectations. I went the cheap route and still came out with a fantastic solid repair. If the time comes for a full upgrade on this truck, Ken will get my business again without hesitation. This is a hidden gem in Costa Mesa/Orange County. Ken was easy to work with and fixed our muffler issue the same day. We installed some Roush mufflers on our Mustang. They were supposed to be a bolt on system but it ended up not. We needed one muffler to be welded on and adjusted. We called around to a few muffler shops and some didn't want to work on it and another shop kept putting me off each day. I called Angels shop and Ken answered. He told me to come in a drop it off that same day. We did and he had it done in a few hours. Ken also fixed a few other things he saw that needed attention. He lined the tail pipes up better than I had too. Oh, and his price is better than others out there too. I highly recommend you get your muffler work done here! Make a long story short, although all the numbers were way below California requirements my Tahoe failed smog because one of the catalytic converters didn't belong on this year Tahoe. My problem: My muffler had become disconnected and needed to be welded back on. The last time I had this problem it cost me $130.00 which seemed a little high. So I decided to try some place new and I am so happy to have found Angel's Automobile Service! My experience: I arrive at his shop at 1:30, we underneath my car in a couple of minutes and saw the problem. Got a CAT installed here of July 2017 and got a code for the CAT recently and he will not warranty it for me with it still being under a year and is trying to sell me another CAT for slightly cheaper. A great little shop that works on projects. Not your corporate muffler shop. I took my son's passat in with a cracked exhaust pipe. I had wrapped a can around it and fastened with clamps to quiet it down. Ken took a look and chuckled and then offered to weld a flex pipe on it for a reasonable fee. The initial conversation was a little weird; I had tried to explain to him over the phone that I wanted to know if he could weld a small muffler that I'd purchased from Amazon, onto a generator on my motorhome. I needed a new catalytic converter for my 2000 Honda CRV. After a couple hours I came back and was eager to have a fully functioning car, so I drove away without inspecting my car. Later that day I noticed that the men who worked on my car disconnected the cord that opens my hood and threw away the button to open it. Now the only way I can fix it is to go to a Honda dealer. A year later my car was having the same problems of turning off as I was driving. A family member took it to get another cat and it turns out they installed one for a 1999 Honda Civic thinking that would be a suitable fit.
