I have a bit of a "problem child" in the form of my Mercedes AMG, and recently the radiator started acting up. I took it back to the shop where I last had it serviced, and I have to say they were absolutely dependable. Josh and Byron were incredibly helpful, honest, and most importantly, really skilled at what they do. They were efficient, kept me in the loop, and made sure everything was crystal clear. However, from the moment I stepped in to drop my truck off for overheating, I felt relief. I have a Chevy Colorado and I brought it in on a Friday around noon. First off, we have to thank Connell Chevrolet. If it was not for their buffoonery, we would have probably not come across Byron and his team at Performance. Chevy Suburban had some issues. Took it into the dealership. They checked it out and as per usual provided us with a healthy menu of "needs immediate attention" a la carte items; the most pressing of which was a leaking radiator. The total price was somewhere North of $6K....$6....K. Enough is enough. Especially seeing as how we just sank a wad of cash for a new transmission in July. Yelp, tell me who we should go see. Performance my child. Made the call. Talked to Byron and gave him the situation. He was very straightforward, honest, personable. You talk to Byron for the first time and you feel you've known him for years. Bottom line - Byron and his Performance team fixed our issues at a fraction of the cost provided by the dealership. I have always been fully aware that going the dealership route is ALWAYS the pricier path - but, Byron was waaaay under and cooler to work with. Plus, the efficiency was top notch. That's not the case here with Byron and Performance Auto Service. First off, Both Byron and Josh are some of the most down to earth, nice, and welcoming people. Detailed: - Car overheated at 1 am - Towed next door to Fitzgeralds (friendly guys too) - Fitzgeralds said they could squeeze me in, but $170 estimate that would not be prorated/waived once we proceed with the job. Occurred on a Friday of a holiday weekend, so our negotiation Saturday morning was between a rock and a hard place. - Called around and luckily, Byron was right next door. He told me to bring it by and he'd take a look for free, given there were no jobs in front of me. - Of course, he cautioned me not to drive if the car was too compromised and informed me of the risks of overheating again. - After a 30 second drive next door, a friendly man named Byron approached me (his photo is on the sign, lol). - Car was already steaming up again, we popped the hood and he diagnosed it in another 30 seconds (LITERALLY). - I left the car in their care, but had difficulty arranging a pickup time, since I was on my way out of town for the holiday weekend. - Byron accommodated and even offered me a virtual method of payment and secured form of key pickup to meet my schedule! The truck would vibrate when I stepped on the brakes and he replaced my rotors and front pads. Walahhh vibrations are gone! Also he made me aware of a radiator coolant smell due to a leak. thi was my theory at first but couldn't find it. He actually saved me some money since I was due for a coolant flush anyway. Finally, I was missing 2 bolts for my engine shield and I noticed they replaced it when they put it back after the oil change! That was over and above ! Second time I have come to Bryon for a repair on a vehicle. This time, I unfortunately got a bad part and the car was making noise. As someone who spent most of their life working on their own car, I know that this does happen as it has happened to me where I have had to do a repair twice due to getting a defective part. Anyway, I had an appointment that's day as well as two other commitments I needed to drive to the following day. Since the repair didn't go as planned and I needed the car, Byron offered to pick up the car at my work, replace the part again it, and deliver the car back to me at my office in time to make my doctor's appointment. As nice as the employees were, unfortunately me taking my car to get a check up on a signal that popped up in my dashboard cost me $1,100 in damages the auto repair shop had caused. So when I left my car, I got a call back a few hours later saying my axel needed repairing. I said I was going to hold off for now as I needed my car for work the next day. When I returned to pick up my car, it was no longer working and the workers said they had no idea what happened and didn't provide any further help besides they closed at 5 so I needed to figure it out by then. Byron had first offered to help pay for a locksmith, but the next morning had opted out. So I had to get it towed the following day and taken elsewhere paying over $1,100 in repairs (not including the axel issue and or the towing/ubers I had to take). Unfortunate situation for all parties. PS If you have a Volkswagen I would not recommend this location as the employees stated they blew an engine on another VW the same day. read more

Found this place by happen chance and so glad I did. Warped my head gasket on my Corolla. Byron was personable and empathetic to my situation. He gave me a couple options on what was possible. Either change the engine out or try and fix it. Both were expensive. We decided to go with the new used engine. All together I paid a little over $3000 and it was a complete deal!
