All of this without me ever saying anything. The office is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I called to ask for the fee to be waived since it was my first time ever having to cancel. Nope. "Policy". They would make more money if they kept me as a patient versus trying to make $150. I will not be returning.

I saw Dr. Angie for the first time last Friday for a hygiene appointment, and she is a fabulous, attentive, professional, and meticulous dentist. I was in town for a long weekend, and I was overdue for a cleaning, and she squeezed me in on a Friday afternoon. (Her father, Dr. Milton, was my dentist before Dr. Angie began practicing, so I am a long time patient at Cupertino Dental Group.) I particularly appreciated Dr. Angie's patience. She explained exactly what was going on with my teeth and showed me weak spots in the mirror. Her style is a perfect fit for me -- the more I understand about what is going on, the better I feel. And I've flossed every day since the appointment, which is a new record fore me. Unfortunately, she found a cavity that needs to be filled (she said we could keep an eye on the others to see if they progress or remineralize). But, she was able to find a slot for me on my next visit into town, and I know I'll be in good hands. In sum, Dr. Angie is an absolute professional and a skilled and knowledgeable dentist. I will be recommending her to anyone looking for a new dentist. read more

I am done with being taken advantage of and not receiving the proper treatment. What made me change my rating and review of this place? My crown, which I've only had for almost 4 years, has fallen off TWO times within six months. When it fell out the 2nd time, not only did Dr. A create a hole in my crown while she was cleaning it, but it also fell out again two days later after she "temporarily cemented" back on again. Each time it fell out, I was expected to pay for cementing it on again. If the crown was cemented on property in the first place, it should not be falling out. Crowns are supposed to last for MANY years, and for a crown to fall out within 4 years is ridiculous. I also had to wait 1.5 weeks to get an appointment after my crown fell off the 2nd time. You would think that for an emergency like this, they would accommodate a time that works for the patient ASAP to fix the problem. Each time my crown has fallen out, Dr. A would accuse me for eating sticky and/or hard foods and grinding my teeth. Both are not true-- I know my diet, and as for the grinding, my partner and I would know that that were the case. When I come in for cleanings, I would also get accused for chewing on pencils (excuse me? I have NEVER chewed on pencils or pens before). Every time I come in, I experience pain, discomfort, and accusations. The dentist and whoever the assistant happens to be in the time being (she has a high turnover for assistants) are not very compassionate people-- they don't prioritize how their patients are feeling. They never check with me if I'm feeling okay or anything. The crown situation is the last straw for me, and I feel like now I can be completely honest right now since I am now leaving and taking my business elsewhere. The best part of this business is the kind, responsive secretary, Veronica. *Note: I am now with a new dentist for 2 or so years now, and the new crown that I got has never fallen out since. I also have not experienced any of the discomfort that I thought was normal to have when I was with Argonaut Dental.

In fact, today was my first comprehensive exam. In that process, Faye, her RDA, took the time to actually listen. I explained a sensation of sensitivity and pressure over my sinus since my cavity fill at another dental office. I also told her that my lymph nodes seemed inflamed. I initially came for a second opinion and thought we were going down a crown vs root canal path. However, an impromptu CT scan revealed I've had an infection brewing in my sinuses for 3 months! I know I'm in good hands because she utilizes tools like ozone and recommends holistic things like probiotics alongside her treatment plans. Liliana also took the time to explain the process and cost of saliva testing for bacteria, not to mention she offered me a financing option to allow me to take care of myself without feeling burdened and overwhelmed by the financial cost of my treatment. Hands down, Top Down is already the best decision I've made for my oral health and overall health!

Sheryl is very responsive over email and always sends reminders so you don't forget your appointment. The office is always clean and comfortable. I've had several appointments between 2 and 3pm and not once have I been subjected to an awful 2:30 (tooth hurty) pun. Can't really ask for anything more from a dentist.
