Came here for a birthday dinner with a group of discerning friends, and overall it was a great time -- with a couple of things worth noting for future diners. First, the good stuff: the menu was excellent and had something for everyone in our picky group, which is no small feat. The cocktails were fantastic -- no complaints there whatsoever. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, a flatbread, and split the Chinese chicken salad, and all three appetizers were absolutely amazing. On the seating front -- we had five people and were initially seated at a four-top, which was quite tight. To be fair, that one's on me for not noting in the reservation that it was a birthday. They moved us to another four-top and added a seat at the end. Still a little cozy, but we made it work. Now, the hiccup: two of the entrées -- the filet mignon with lemon potatoes and the chicken payard -- arrived cold, and the filet came with a heavy sauce that wasn't mentioned on the menu. We flagged it with our waiter, and this is where the restaurant really redeemed itself. Big shoutout to Danny and the manager (sorry, I'm blanking on his name!) -- they handled it graciously and made it right. That kind of service goes a long way. One practical tip: the restaurant gets very crowded by 7 PM, so plan accordingly. And if you can, request a table in the side room rather than near the entrance -- you'll thank yourself later. Angies recently opened in my town and I was excited to give it a try but it was super disappointing. Biggest complaint was my meal - I ordered a turkey reuben and it was served with smoked turkey which was not as described on the menu. I waited a long time for it to arrive, then to have it smoked when I really dislike smoked food. I returned it and didn't eat anything because I couldn't afford the time to wait to have another meal delivered. As an appetizer we had mussels in wine sauce which was delicious. They said they would bring us bread but it arrived a long time later, at the same time as our meals. We didn't need it for the mussels by then. Disappointing. The server was nice but he didn't really give us any attention. Ambiance was lovely, I will give them that. Unless they fix their timing issue and better describe their items on their menu it will be difficult to have happy customers. read more

Wow I cannot wait to come back!! This place not only is it stunning, but the food and drinks are delicious I was seated at the bar while I waited for my guest to arrive, the bartender was attentive and very friendly and drinks were very tasty and strong! They have a large cocktail menu with pictures which I loved! Once seated at a table with my guests, we had a lovely server who were both attentive, and very friendly with us! Food came out delicious. They have a large selection of food options and everything tasted 10/10 The ambiance of the place is lively, very spacious and really beautiful. I highly recommended visiting this place. Skip! Small portions with a big price tag. It wouldn't be so offensive if the food was good. It's not bad, just not good enough to justify the price tag. I had the tuna poke. It came in a small bowl and the rice was either burnt or so old it dried out. If you are going to charge so much, have the decency to serve better quality food. The lobster roll was also kind of pathetic. It looked like crab salad because there were no lobster chunks. We spent $100+ on brunch for 3 people and went away hungry. Packed on a Wednesday night, Angie's took over the space of Publican's and opened less than 2 weeks ago. The space is gorgeous, the main entrance is now in the back, valet parking available. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Cocktails took a while to come, and they were very light/watered down, tasted the juice more than anything, not worth $19 where you would expect a strong elevated cocktail. The food was mediocre at best. Appetizers: Oysters- all different sizes, the smaller ones were empty Swordfish kabob- the fish was dry & overcooked Tuna poke- lacked flavor, average quality Lobster caviar bites- cheap is not even the word to describe the amount of caviar in this bite. They have the nerve to charge $19 per piece for a bite size piece of bread, with a teaspoon of lobster and a pinch of caviar, highly disappointing Lobster escargot- this dish was excellent, very flavorful, served with a generous portion of bread to dip in the delicious butter sauce. Entrees: No flatbreads available Lamb chops-the waitress originally told us they were out, but then came back and said they did have. Three pieces of lamb served with fries. Each piece of lamb was a different temperature. The fries must have been the end of the batch, they were 1/4 the size of a normal fry. Seafood youvetsi- this dish saved the meal. Very flavorful, a generous portion of shrimp, also included scallops and lobster. Mashed potatoes- flavorless, tasted like instant potatoes. The pink champagne cake was very good & huge! Didn't love the rainbow cake. This spot has alot of potential, I hope they work out the kinks, great location. read more

The new interior is very nice and well done . We were close to the entrance which kept smelling like cigar smoke, I guess people were smoking by the entrance. Waited 45 minutes for ahi tuna tacos, chicken Milanese and a French onion soup at 5pm on a Saturday. The chicken Milanese came out 15 minutes after the rest of the food so we couldn't even eat together without the food getting cold When you charge $ 25 for two tiny strips of tuna in each of only two tacos and $17 for a small cup of of French onion soup I should at least not have to wait that long. Dirty martinis that tasted watered down. Didn't they already save on vodka serving them in those terrible undersized coupe glasses? Wait staff nice but a bit inexperienced and unengaged. Bread and flavored (blue cheese?-yuck) butter Appetizers-tuna tartare,sticky rice was not edible-covered in some sauce- thousand island? Rice not sticky just old. Flatbread dry and tasteless. Corn salad uneventful. Entrees- burger was good, filet mignon good but not served as promised, lamb chops ok, Bill came-4% for cc.... We didn't order apps just entrees and they came out in 5 minutes, we barely had a sip of our cocktails yet or had time to take in the place and experience. As a former Publicans regular, I'm downright disappointed at the chaos that is Angie's. First of all--and this is a true crime against drinking--they tore out Publicans' storied, long wooden bar and replaced it with an all-white interior evocative of an overpriced, douchey Hamptons club. The soul is gone, replaced by something designed more for Instagram than actual enjoyment. At 8:30 on a Saturday night, the place was packed to the gills. We arrived early and grabbed a drink at the bar. Cocktails hovered around $20--some stronger and better than others--but overall, perfectly fine. The bartenders were clearly overwhelmed, cranking out drinks with no time for warmth or actual service. I had to ask three different people just to close out my tab. Our reservation was honored more or less on time, which was appreciated. Our server was friendly but began with a laundry list of menu items that weren't available. He strongly pushed the crab cake appetizer, which we ordered--and he promptly forgot. Instead, we were served an unappealing beef tartare we never ordered. When the crab cake finally arrived, it was underwhelming at best and pretty terrible at worst. To their credit, the mains were solid. Everyone at the table was happy, and nothing came out at the wrong temperature. The chicken parm was excellent--but I can get a comparable version at my local pizza place for a fraction of the price, without sitting in a deafening room full of wannabe influencers. I'll also note the elephant in the room: some tables clearly received better service and attention than others, and they didn't seem subtle about it. And where did this crowd even come from? It certainly didn't feel local. You can redesign the room, but you can't hide the Bayside-pretending-to-be-Montauk energy. $20 for a bite of caviar? $30 for a hot dog? Seriously, go fuck yourselves. Total damage: over $100 per person with drinks and tip. The experience is absolutely not worth what they're charging. A fun night with friends? Sure. Worth repeating? Not a chance. read more

Service is good and food is tasty. Came for early dinner with two children and ordered apple juice for children and a beer for adult. Spinach and artichoke dip came with small portion of chips. They happily brought out another small bowl of chips. When check arrived they surprised us with an $8 charge for the chips and $16 for two small kids apple juices. Food was cold. Service was very slow. Hostesses tried their best to seat people but still took almost an hour past our reservation to be seated. It was a struggle to get water much less get the attention of our waiter. Luckily, we were in the back room and the noise was manageable, but the main room noise was outrageous. We had to scream to hear each other when we were waiting by the bar. Whatever they did when they remodeled, they ruined the acoustics. Most annoyingly, the owners seemed to make a point to spend a lot of time with their friends who received top notch service, but if you're not friends then good luck with your service and food. Note to the owners: your close friends can come to your establishment only so many times and post only so many positive reviews. Everyone else will say what's truly going on, and it's disappointing because a restaurant lives on delicious food, exceptional service, warm hospitality to all of your patrons and value for your money ($87 for a mediocre cowboy steak?). Stopped by for a drink and quick bite and it started off strong, but went downhill fast. They served water with the option of a fruit garnish, which was very refreshing. Ordered frose and they didn't have the machine. Ordered flatbread, and guess what, the machine is not working. Ordered spinach and artichoke dip and it came with tortilla chips instead of pita bread (as advertised on the menu). Would've been nice to know what they are not serving as soon as we sat down. One of the waiters offered to give us bread to have with the dip and when our waitress saw him bring us the bread, she was so rude to him.
