Came here for a quick fix for my crawfish craving. I got the garlic butter flavor and it was decent for a quick fix. The flavor was on the milder side, with a citrusy (orange) and garlicky taste. Overall, it was still pretty good. The server was very pleasant and checked on us throughout the meal. The environment also looked clean. read more

We finally stopped by after driving past it so many times and actually came here because Margarita Jones ran out of crawfish...and best decision ever!! I just moved to this part of town and was afraid I wasn't going to be able to get the bold garlic/asain style crawfish I could easily get in Houston. But this is now my go to spot!! To ensure this restaurant hadn't changed their hours, I called at 8:07 pm and was told that they closed at 9 pm (as shown in Yelp). Since we live close by, I said, "Good, we'll be there in 5 minutes." I was then told, "Well, we might be closing soon." I said I thought you were open until 9. The food was really good. I had the nine piece shrimp and oyster plate. I haven't had fried seafood like that since I've been back home in Louisiana so it was definitely a nice reminder of some really good seafood. Called in my order and they had it done in about 10 minutes, and the service was up to par as well. This is another great Sea Food restaurant here in Angleton with a very friendly staff that provides very good service. Generally my meal starts with a drink, a salad, then fried shrimp and fried cat fish on a bed of french fries. They have a great menu that will meet anyone's palate, delicious grilled Red Snapper, fried oyster, crawfish, scallops, hush puppies, and a menu for the kids. This is the best place to get well cooked fish and I suppose, seafood, contrasted with Red Lobster in Lake Jackson after the Pearland location had closed a while ago. 10 minute wait for a server. I ordered the fried "calamarie" and 6 jumbo shrimp with fries and coleslaw. The app was just okay. The tartar sauce was mayo and pickles. The cocktail sauce, so thick I had to open the squeeze bottle to pour it on the plate, was full of pickles but did have a hint of Tabasco. The shrimp were fresh, but jumbo...hmmm, maybe not. When I went to pay at the cashier (as numerous posted signs instructed), the cashier, who turned out to be the manager, asked me what I'd ordered. I said the calamari and jumbo shrimp. He asked if I had the coleslaw? I said yes, and by the way, it was atrocious, to which he (manager) replied "hey, I just work here, I don't cook it" Really? Well, that about sums up his customer service skills. Honestly, I've never had pickles and cabbage referred to as coleslaw. The best part of the meal? I wanted something different while I was staying in Angleton, so Angleton Seafood was the choice. As I entered the restaurant, I was told to seat myself, so I did. It was about 6 pm. And there were only 4 other tables taken. The waitress came over quickly and took my drink order. She was also helpful in ordering! I started with the seafood gumbo and green salad. The Gumbo was pretty good, it needed to be warmed up a bit. It was a little warmer than room temp. The Gumbo was full of seafood, they did not skimp ! The green salad was ok too. For the main course, I had the fried large shrimp with a baked potato (check spelling on menu). Probably,the best shrimp I have eaten! The batter was crunchy, but light, with no greasy taste. My dude ordered a cheeseburger (he's a seafood baby) and a side of slaw. I'd give this place 4 stars if it were based on the slaw and wet salad alone. Slaw was vinegar based and really not my Favorite at all. I wouldn't touch it again. My salad was wet and I can not stand that.... but the damn food was so damn good I damn forgot about the damn water in my damn salad! Okay! Great place with an abundant variety of seafood. My first time there I had raw oysters and seafood gumbo! Yum!!! The oysters were shucked and ready to eat with sauce and lemon . For my main course was seafood gumbo- lots of rice with the big bowl of gumbo. It came out quick and was nice and hot. This has quickly become one of my top favorite seafood restaurants. The food has always been on point. Boiled shrimp as an appetizer. They are always boiled perfectly. Their gumbo is one of my favorites too. The one thing I do not like very much is the sausage pieces, but I eat just around them. My top favorite dinner plate is the boiled snow crab! It's the best!! Warm crab meat, dipped in melted butter. So yummy! I've also tried their stuffed crab (so good), fried oysters, fried shrimp, and boiled crawfish. ZERO complaints. Definitely give this place a try. Based on locals recommendation stopped in on Sunday afternoon. Several large groups seated in the dining room looked like all were having a good time. Quickly greeted and seated, large menu, opted for fried shrimp, catfish and grilled salmon dishes, plus a medium bowl of seafood gumbo The gumbo was huge, could have easily be a meal by itself. Tons on tons of small shrimp in the gumbo, not sure why it was called seafood gumbo, not much of any other seafood in it, but no complaints. Not very spicy but lots of hot sauce on the table to amp it up. The fried shrimp dishes were excellent. Fresh, perfectly breaded, jumbo size worked well. Catfish and salmon were good too but the shrimp won the day. The sides with the dishes did not hold up to the main entree though. Coleslaw was extremely bland, no flavor. Fries were of the frozen variety and really added nothing to the dish though there were alot of them. Mid range prices around $15 to $18 per entree. Gumbo about $6. If you are in the area and have a fried shrimp craving, definitely worth a visit. read more

So I'm looking for seafood on a Friday... and I walk into Angleton Seafood. Ton's of tables in a very open concept. They were about 45% full, with the other half being non-bused tables. Host said "seat yourself please"... so my co-worker and I sat next to a couple of good looking women. We waited for about 15 minutes being ignored and no drink order taken. I leaned over at the pretty girl sitting next to me and asked if I could have her water since she was leaving, she laughed (but I was serious). Well finally flagged down a waitress, and when they finally took our order... food came our freaky fast!!! I had the fried shrimp, raw oysters, and onion rings! The fried shrimp was amazing! Raw oysters came out naked (no shell)... but tasted great, onion rings were a bit greasy... by that is what makes them taste good? Up until today I've never had grilled quail so that's what I ordered for lunch this afternoon at Angleton Seafood, which is the sort of restaurant you'd probably never visit unless your decision was based upon someone's recommendation, which happened to be the case in this instance. I really wanted to love this place as we were in town for a track event and this was the most popular seafood restaurant in area. The menu variety is the best attribute. You are sure to find something if you are a seafood lover. However, maybe due to covid the gumbo lacked strong roux flavor , the crab cakes appeared to have imitation crab which I hate. My grilled whole fish was lackluster...dry, no seasoning, overcooked. The area we were in smelled of overused wiping rag and it took away from a good experience.
