Zero rating. 1. Employee taking order was rude upon arrival. As if she couldn't be bothered to take our order at the counter. Refused to wrap half our order to go. 2. Were asked to leave when our teenager brought in her cheeseburger from next door. THEY RAN OUT OF FOOD. Wtf was she supposed to do? Restaurant was dead. No one cared. Manager was a complete and utter asshole about it. Came at a 15 year old. Loser, go to any one of the eight adults that just dropped $350. Luke. The manager. Should be fired. wow- I am so disappointed in this place it's not even funny. we are in walking distance from our air b n b. we saw they closed on a Saturday at 9pm so we decide to get there for 7. 7 adults and 1 15 year old girl. Immediately it seemed off. They did not seem to want us there but gave is menus and said a couple things were off the menu which is fine. we ordered and they did not want to accept 2 takeout orders for burgers because it was 'too late' but we could order the burgers brought to our table and then get to go boxes. Ok. Then they ran out of about 5 items while we were in line, including the burger the 15 year old wanted. We ordered her a burger across the street to. We all got our food - got the burger to go as well. A young man approached the 15 yo directly and asked her how her food was and asked if it was from across the street then told her she had to leave. he Was terribly sarcastic and rude to a teenage girl. We then interfered. he indicate it is a 'law' but couldn't describe the law And when We looked it up it was left to private business discretion. He was incredibly rude and told a 15 year old he was going to call the police for trespassing as we were boxing up all of our food to leave. His name was Luke - guessing an owners relative. We ate at 3 other places in this tiny town in 4 days and they were so much better. Do not go. read more

Tried this place out after reading the reviews and loved it! The inside is cute. We came on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't busy. Plenty of tables to choose from, as well as bar seating and a couple cozy areas with couches. I ordered the meat plate with pulled pork. The pork was amazing! I don't usually like cornbread, but this was the moistest corn bread I have ever eaten. My husband ordered the half rack of ribs and enjoyed them! We will definitely make a point to come back! read more

I had just come in from driving with my brother for 7 and a half hours from New Jersey and we were both starving. We entered in and it was from empty as it was one hour before they closed. We looked over the menu and ordered. The atmosphere was relaxing and had a nice vibe to it. Once our food came that was what really shined the most. Everything else was nice but the food was perfect. The smoked sausage and Mac & cheese were amazing. The brisket melted in your mouth and had so much flavor. Dear diary, I'm in love. How do I know I'm in love? The meat sweats.. No frills bbq in downtown Meredith located behind the hermit wood winery garden (dog friendly) with the best St. Louis ribs, brisket chili and pulled pork around. The ribs are smoked to perfection and then slathered with the perfect amount of sauce; they're meaty, moist and a half rack will leave you full, but they've decided it's not enough to just be full - they give you two sides as well. I had the brisket chili which was so good I could think this may become my "if I could only have one food for the rest of my life" choice. Mac n cheese side two was perfect as a side, the right amount of cheese not to over power the bbq. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich, which can only be described as a lb of the tastiest pulled pork on the lake. Fantastic food. Prices were reasonable. It's a small place, and as word gets out, expect lines down the street.

Had a few drinks and listened to some music at the beer garden across from the winery in Meredith. We decided to try the BBQ place and shared a pulled pork plate with beans and coleslaw. The meat was very tasty and it was a good amount of food for the price. The guy working it was friendly and delivered our plate to the picnic table in the beer garden. This is a food truck (stationary I think) located a street over from the main road running through Meredith (Town Docks, Marina, etc) Meredith is gorgeous and has so many cute cafes, waterside restaurants and it's nice to have a fun gritty bbq spot located in the midst (right across the street from a little winery). Blasting some classic 80s Michael McDonald, it wasn't very busy when we rolled in and we grabbed one of the two picnic tables with an umbrella overhead. Between the three of us, we had a brisket sandwich, pulled pork, and a hotdog plus sides of cornbread. Everything was tasty, I forgot to request one of the bbq sauces not realizing they didn't come with so the meat was dry smoked and not wet and wish it were offered when I ordered. UPDATE June 2019: Apparently, the Weirs Beach location was burglarized last year, and they have CLOSED. The owners still cater, but they no longer have their location on the Pier. I hope they find a new place to land! ****** We tried this place hoping that we'd get some good, flavorful BBQ. Don't let the Weirs Beach location make you think that this is a 'tourist' spot. It's quite good, tasty BBQ. My husband opted for a Pulled Pork plate and I got the Que-bano, a twist on a Cuban sandwich using their pulled pork as the main meat. Both were flavorful. The meat was moist and chunky. The hand-cut fries were wonderful, and their unique range of sauces really enhanced the flavor of the meat. My favorite was the apple-based sauce--definitely a great pairing with the pork. We actually went back for the deep fried Oreos after walking around the area for awhile. OhYUM! I was disappointed that I didn't get to try their Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese (didn't notice it until after I had my food). I'm also a bit sad that they are closing (as most of the 'boardwalk' places are) after Labor Day. See ya next year! read more

I think the person claiming they are closed is wrong? I ate there August 31 2019. Ownership change? Proper good BBQ. No soggy ribs with sauce tacked on after. I have a really hard time finding good sweet and spicy ribs, but they delivered. Really glad to have good BBQ right next to the beach. read more

Everyone at our recent party raved about their delicious brisket, pulled pork, and ribs! Plus their BBQ sauces are phenomenal (thank you for providing squeeze bottles of them)! I'm so glad we also got a tray of their mac & cheese... it was a huge hit and went quickly. Potato salad, cole slaw, and fresh slider rolls were all fantastic too. With anticipation I checked in to the Angry Hog for an early dinner after getting off the Mount Washington cruise boat. My first impression was this is a Hooters meets Harley Davidson vibe. If that is the owners intent then Bravo! My second impression was made after the counter service person asked us "Are you going to order or are you just passing by".I then figured out you needed to walk in between the bar seating to an order window. I ordered the pulled chicken plate and my dining companion had the brisket plate with sides of Cole slaw, beans and potato salad. I was told they had no fries or onion rings on this day. The pulled chicken arrived cold and was on dry side. The brisket was tender and bland. The beans were edible but lacked any smokiness or pizzazz. The potato salad and coleslaw were good. The one saving item we tried was the condiment sauces. Really liked the apple slap and the maple one. The chicken plate with 2 sides was $14... we left bidding the service person adieu but her head was too buried in her electronic device to acknowledge our departure. It will be hard to return knowing there are better BBQ joints in the area. read more
