Staff working with the animals are friendly and patient. Staff at front desk seems overwhelmed possibly because of being understaffed. It's lovely to see the cats and dogs be cared for. An excellent spot if you are looking for a furry companion that is super affordable. We were looking for a new furry companion to join our family and weren't having a ton of luck. As part of a last ditch effort, we decided to check out CAP. Upon entering, I was shocked by how clean and bright the adoption facility was. To the right, cats. To the left, dogs. Ahead, furry critters like rabbits. A great organization system with a very open layout! As we began to peruse the variety of dogs, I noticed amenities such as ample hand sanitizer stations, visit rooms, and friendly volunteers. They utilize an easy to understand color system to indicate behaviors/training levels of the pets. All of the rooms/kennels looked very clean and the pets inside looked well cared for. Additionally, each pet had paperwork and surveys filled out to give you as much upfront information as possible. An adorable recent stray caught our eye out of the sea of dogs that were in the process of being adopted. We had to wait a little for a visit room to free up, but once a room was cleaned, a volunteer brought us in to meet the pup. As we interacted with the pup, the volunteer enthusiastically told us everything she could including how long the dog had been there, how the most recent walk went, and how the adoption process goes. Hearts stolen, we decided to adopt. The process was pretty straightforward with paperwork first then a meeting with an adoption counselor. It was pretty busy on the Sunday evening that we went, but still the wait was not that long. The counselor was very knowledgeable and we found that the very affordable adoption fee included the spay/neuter surgery, a full service vet visit, rabies vaccination, lots of literature, and a micro-chip! A great value!! Overall, a great organization and it is super heartwarming to see all of the adopted signs. Definitely a place to check out if you are looking for a furry family member. read more

I'm not really a fan of animals, but I stopped by this place yesterday with some friends who absolutely love this place. And I think this place is pretty neat for those who want pets for cheap. When you walk in, you'll immediately see a room full of cats on your right. Go straight down a little more and you'll see the room full of dogs on your left. Anyone who wants to go into any room to look at the pets needs to sign in at the counter (it's on the left right before the dog room). Each pet has a card showing their "profile" attached to their cage. It lets you know what kind of environment the pet prefers, what type of breed they are, how long they've been at CAP, etc. And each pet has an adoption fee in which, I believe you just go up to the counter to let them know which one you want. Every month or so, they have sales and promotions in which the adoption fee may be waived or discounted. And the pets that have been there the longest usually have the cheaper fees. For instance, my friend bought a kitten on sale for only $5. They've also got a pet supplies store in the building that sells stuff for pretty cheap as well. Again, I don't know much about buying pets. But if I ever decided to buy one, this would be the place I'd go to. Give it a try! read more

I love this place for their animals, and their animals only. I adopted my kitten from here so I had a very nice and warm attachment to this place...until today. I noticed my cat wasnt eating and so I looked at his food and saw small maggots. Then I opened all his unopened food to find even more maggots. And the bed I had bought from here had stains everywhere and was covered in cat hair, this place sells cheap things for your animals but its unhygenic and dirty. I dont think you should buy any food or supplies from here. read more

lady at the front desk is so rude every single time. They make it so difficult to adopt pets & it's a hassle. They have horrible customer service at the front & will put you through a 4 hour wait if they feel like it. Took forever & there was not even a line. Super cute pets. read more

Very nice facility. Always plenty of ladies with girlfriends in there. Plenty of animals that need homes. Spring time is pretty crowded with all the puppies and kittens. Get 'em while they are hot read more

I would NOT adopt from here. Firstly, I heard from the owner herself "this is fucking ridiculous for the larger dogs to not be walked in over a week", also that they are severely understaffed. Which you should NEVER say in front of potential adopters. It's also sad because that means these larger dogs are in tiny cages for who knows how many days!! Then we ask to hold a puppy for a day and they say it can't be done; go back up 3 hours later to find her next potential adopters can hold her for a full day. Whether it was a special case or not; they made it seem like 2 hours wasn't the regulated amount and that 12 hours was; which the dog was held for 24 hours at that. I felt lied to and to get no remorse or sorry from the lady running the puppy palace was just the icing on the cake!!! If you are running a nonprofit you should want to get as much support from your community as possible and I can assure you they will never get my business or the business of my family or friends ever again read more

Walked in the building no one greeted me.. I had to literally ask around. They had me wait on the couch for 20 minutes. Until finally a woman came out, and just said, There will not be no community service today" shrugged her shoulders and walked away.. didn't even have the courtesy to apologize on their behalf. She literally didn't care, because it's not her problem. Didn't even explain why, it was cancelled at the last minute, there were several of us waiting not just me. So when I asked why? Couldn't someone call me before they had me drive 30 minutes out, she said "If I'm mad! She won't allow me to come back to do community service" So she basically threaten me to keep quite or I wont be able to do community service. Wow!!!!! You would think it's all sweet and roses! But people can be so ugly! These days! Looks can be deceiving! They treated us very unfairly! Just because we're here for community service. Doesn't mean were bad people! read more
