They even found she had two cysts in her uterus and removed those for us as well on top of her spay at a discount.

They remember EVERYONE and are so patient and polite. I particularly love Jody, the groomer. She is…read morethe best and the only groomer that I trust with my little dog. They are usually very busy so be prepared for that but it's worth it. They have at least 2-3 front desk personnel that know their job and know your pet. The longest that I have ever had to wait is 5 minutes. They kindly and quickly greet you, get you checked in, and let the vet tech know that you are there. Then, off to get weighed and back to the room. It's very clean too. The vet, Dr. Steinberg was amazing! He took his time with my little girl and made sure that I understood next steps and reassured me that I could call anytime with questions. Jasmine and Michelle and wonderful too! I can't say enough good things about Bayside. Very thankful.

I was shocked how affordable it is! The staff feels like family. When I got bad news recently they did everything they could to help me and more! The staff went above and beyond! The kindness from the staff and doctors made everything easier for when I had to euthanize my boy. The doctor asked me if I wanted to put turbos blanket in with him while he was being euthanized. I'm so happy the doctor came up with that suggestion. It warmed my heart knowing turbo fell asleep with the one blanket he loves. He slept with it every night ! They made me the sweetest clay paw and tail print. I can't thank Bayside enough for everything they have done for me and my bearded dragon Turbo. They are so accommodating and when I called crying They did their best to get me an appointment as soon as they could. They would call me immediately if someone canceled and a slot opened up .I highly recommend Bayside to everyone! When and if I get another bearded dragon.... BAYSIDE WILL BE THE ONLY PLACE I WILL EVER GO TO! Thank you and lots of love from Amanda T. & Turbo

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Severna Park Veterinary Hospital. I called…read morethem for the first time after being told by ten (yes, ten) other vets/ER vets including our normal vet of 7 years, that they wouldnt be able to see our pup who hadn't eaten in nearly 3 days and was having other very concerning symptoms. I left a voicemail with my name, information and had little hope that I'd receive a call back at all. Lo and behold, less than an hour later the office called me back and encouraged me to come in, they'd squeeze me in between appointments. I was so grateful that my pupper would be seen! We hurried over and he was taken back, assessed and the vet (Dr. Schmidt) came out to explain his initial thoughts, treatment plan and anticipated costs before proceeding. I was prepared to simply be handed a bill after the visit, so I thought the fact that he provided a detailed estimate was really fantastic. I agreed to all (and was fully expecting to be asked to pay much more than the quote). The front desk staff (Diana, sp?), the vet techs, everyone was as kind and helpful as can be to us. I wish I remembered everyone's name for appropriate kudos. What started as a stressful and scary day ultimately turned into such a wonderful reminder that there are still people, and businesses, who truly will go out of their way for a stranger (or strange dog, ha!). Our pup is feeling MUCH better now all thanks to the team at Severna Park Veterinary Hospital. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

As a new puppy owner a year and a half ago, they helped me learn all the right things I should be giving/ doing for my dogs wellness and health! When I get my second dog, I will be for sure trying to get them in as a patient!

I have wrestled for days about writing this review. I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to…read morenow. On March 26, 2025, I had to let one of my precious Bichons go. He was given a sedative first then the final shot. He was comfortably lying in my arms. When the sedative was given, he screamed, I cried uncontrollably. My Husband was also present and visibly shaken. In my 74 years I have given many dogs back to God. This was the first time I had experienced this. The Vet said he moved, and the shot went into his muscles. I did not hear this that day, my Husband told me later. Weeks later I questioned the Vet and was told the same. On September 18, 2025, I lost another of my precious Bichons. Again, he was in my arms, my Husband said with his eyes closed because he trusted me. The sedative was given; he screamed. This protocol is unacceptable and cruel not only to my babies but also for my Husband and me. The Vet said that day he always cried with injections. Five days before this we were in the ER with this pup, and he had an injection and did not make a sound. I have been haunted daily by these screams. Letting a dog go is traumatic enough without having to experience something like this. Not only once but twice in six months. UPDATE: While I appreciate only some of your response (below) to my review, Dr. Levitsky being the Owner of Healing Paws. They do not even come close to closure for my Husband and I after witnessing what should have been a peaceful and dignified transition for both Tyler and Tigger. I could possibly accept, maybe, just maybe if only one of my boys had screamed but not both. This was not rare! I have had a total of 15 dogs in my lifetime. And of these precious dogs I was with them at the end just like Tyler and Tigger. Not ONE screamed, NOT one. Tyler and Tigger were the only two that Dr. Key performed the sedatives on and the anesthesia. A peaceful transition for both were my only "needs". I really do not know what you are talking about as far as policy, etc. and find these comments to my review par for the course as well as amusing. I spent 20K there in a little over 2 1/2 years, you were well compensated. I only came back to Healing Paws in 2023 because of Dr. Key. I left in 2019 for numerous reasons that were unprofessional of you and your staff. I am terribly sorry I returned. I could go on and will update this as necessary.

I wanted both my dog and I to know we have a veterinarywho cares. The front desk staff at Veterinary Housecall were so kind to squeeze me in for my dog's appointment, I had gotten the time mixed up but looking back I believe they should have told me to come back, bc they set aside a solid hour to look at all pets and get to know him, I was not aware of that, being a new dog mom. As it were, the visit was rushed and anxiety built up with my dog being apart from me, alone, with strangers. I felt uncomfortable to let him go into another room for his examination. Come to find out, my dog had matting on his tail, ears and around his groin area. The doctor came in after my dog's examination and said she was going to shave him because of matting, I have him groomed but not close for discomfort. The assistant and I comforted my dog as the vet did the shaving it took about 10 minutes but I felt rushed and my dog had severe shaving burns on his private area, lower tail area and top of his head. It looked as though my dog was a completely different dog and in pain. She didn't give advice for medication of antibiotic or advice on a compress...nothing. I had to Google what the vet should have suggested or advised. He spent most of the night crying and not able to be comfortable bc of the redness in the areas shaved. It was a terrible thing for him with no relief from Vetenary Housecall. Another issue was the billing person who was very rude after I was prepared to spend $80, as was told to me, the first regular visit is to be, when I made the appointment but it escalated when the doctor shaved him, in which I was not aware that she would at that time. The billing person walked in and was extremely unpleasant, this person lashed out, then mentioned to me, that person was not informed by the staff of the visit type and assumed it was for shaving my dogs tail matting and I was there for that purpose of shaving my dog and did not want to pay. That was so terrible in that assumption. I called this morning and the front desk duo were understanding of my dogs pain but not willing to help with medication unless I sent over pictures of the redness in the groin and tail areas. I am so fed up with that whole business. In this experience, I must say, I did not do my due diligence with regards to looking for a more caring owner/pet veterinary facility. I thought of closeness and familiarity within the community rather than the caring attention, communication and quality veterinary care for my dog and for me bc us pet parents deserve all of that. My advice, as a new dog owner, ask neighbors who have pets, ask people at dog parks and just know your pet and being an owner of all pets do deserve the very best care and gentle treatment as our children do.
