I interviewed both and had no qualms regarding with the first surgeon's lens replacement recommendation except for the fact it didn't fulfill my need for eliminating the use of contacts or glasses post operatively. The second surgeon, Dr Mueller, listened to my needs, performed a thorough examination, removed the cataracts and inserted a multi focal lens that restored my vision to a 20/20 level I haven't had since I was a teenager. His approach during the initial interview and exam was very thorough, giving me the confidence for accepting him as my surgeon and his recommendations. His surgical skills are beyond exceptional and his office staff, the best I have ever experienced. From the initial check-in to the handling all the insurance and financial paperwork was as smooth as it gets. The team made me feel extremely comfortable with a same day op as my consult, and even fit me into their last opening of the day. They explained the process fully from start the finish, and I even ordered my own Uber home after the procedure! After a 5 hour nap, I could see without the aid of glasses or contacts. I went to local ER (live 45 miles from Ft. Worth), and the dr. there got hold of Dr. Hajovsky who agreed to meet me at his office even though they were closed. Without any nurses, he spent 2 hours with procedures to stop further damage and help start to mend. Wednesday was the surgery, and a follow up the next day. I've been having vision issues for a few years and was recommended to see a specialist for my droopy eye lids. I've had blepharoplasty, as well as Botox injections but now, I'm at a point where I'm being told I would benefit from getting a direct brow lift. My problem is not my diagnosis it's the way this office handles billing. After asking many questions about the procedure, prescription and costs, Nethery Eye Associates (NEA) gives me a quote for the doctor fees plus explains that there is a cost at the surgical center as well. I call the surgical center to get the cost. Two weeks later I have my evaluation appointment at NEA, see Dr. Sears and he explains the procedure again. I get to the front desk billing/ and she quotes me $1,000 more for Dr. Sears to do the procedure! I question her and she says the fees went up - then tells me she confirmed with her manager just this morning. I understand that I asked a lot of questions before I commit to a surgery, including why Dr. Sears refused to write it up as medically necessary when knows my past vision history and all that I've been through to try and see better. I might also mention that Dr. Sears was sitting 4 feet away from the billing assistant when she gave the $1,000 extra quote for his fee! Seriously?

You would think someone would say the optometrist is running late. Or, make the late person wait since they were not respectful to be here on time. None of this occurred.
