I thought he must be crazy, why would he even suggest putting down my dog?? At this point I just wanted to get my dog to an emergency vet because clearly this Vet doesn't know what he is talking about. After paying $68 for the vet visiting which he basically did NOTHING. I asked him to refer me to the nearest ER. The one he referred me to was Blue Pearl and they also a very condescending vet who quoted me $9.5k+ for 24 hours before they can save my dog. They wanted me to make a decision immediately and tried to dissuade me from switching to another ER because the price would be "similar" . I ended up switching to another hospital that had more empathetic staff. If something seems off listen to your gut and switch to another clinic!!!!! This can help save your pet's life !!!

Dr. Cohen also stated he would not be taking action regarding the employee involved, citing that she had been "showing improvement," and added that she is pregnant. Regardless, verifying the correct patient prior to anesthesia is a fundamental responsibility of the veterinarian.
