I visited this place with my dog about a year ago, and recently called to get a prescription so I could order her medication. They never gave me the prescription at the time of the visit, so I needed it now. I was told they would text me their email and the information I needed so I could use them as the referral for wherever I choose to order her medication. The first time I called was a month ago and I never received anything. I called again, explained the whole situation, and was told the same thing -- and still haven't received any information. All around amazing vet! I'm SO glad to have found this place. My lil tuxedo lady is very spicy, I've been taking her to another vet in the neighborhood for the past 2 years after adopting her but it was an anxiety inducing event for both of us. My old vet always took her to another room without me present and the vet always took her back very quickly without being able to properly do a full annual exam due to her temperament. First time at the old vet they had me give her 1 gabapetin then second year 2. They suggested next time she needs 3. I'm concerned obviously so sought to give another vet a try and found Happy Tails, it's also much closer to me. The front desk suggested I give her 2 but over 2 days. Day of the appointment I was pleasantly surprised the exam was being done with me present unlike my past experiences, Dr. Perkins and her support handled my cat so well she wasn't spicy at all, I can tell she felt calmer with this vet. She did try to bite the vet's assistant in the end when they were giving her a shot lol but he was well prepared with his bite proof gloves. Dr. Perkins is a Gem!! First of all she doesn't over book her patience. You are basically always taken on time. She is so compassionate and treats patients as if they are her own animal. Her diagnosis is right on and it's a blessing to have a Vet. that doesn't look to run extra test, but just the ones necessary to treat your animal. As far as I am concerned she charges too little for her services!! Most importantly if you should have a situation where your animal is at the end of their life and untreatable, she tells you her opinion and helps you with that difficult decision to not have them suffer anymore. On another matter one of my dogs was limping and she new right away his ACL was torn and directed me to a fantastic surgeon to do the surgery. I am so at ease when I bring all 3 of my animals to see her. It can be very stressful when you have a pet that isn't the best patient. Dr Perkins speaks my animals language and knows how to handle the situation! I swear by her and would travel miles to see her. Since we moved to a new neighborhood, I've been looking up different vet clinics and found that Dr. Perkins is highly recommended. It was easy to schedule and reasonably priced. We arrived and they took the time to get to know my puppy. They played and let my 9 month old calm down before bringing him in with Dr. Perkins. I take my dogs and cats here all the time. I've tried 2 other vets but the hospitality here is supreme. They are totally different from the other vets that only care about money. The doctors and the staffs here are so kind and I see their love for animals. And the price is cheaper than other places too. You can call several vets including this one and ask for a price of something and you'll realize, they charge less than other places. My goal was to visit this happy tail wellness because it is close location, and better for my new puppy to have the second set of vaccinations.  The vet assistant had asked me if I wanted a consultation because she said it was best for me to reschedule the dog to come back in four days because it is too early for it to get the shots. The deal is what's the difference four days apart? If they had told me this on the first phone conversation I wouldn't have come. Not knowing, the consultation process handling, i regret the action of the assistant to approach the dog and grab the dog and bring the dog alone inside doors without me seeing what they doing to it, and they come back in less than seven minutes with a diagnosis about the dog that it is healthy.  in seven minutes, my pocket is out of $84. I feel it is my most expensive stupid mistake at this veterinary. I also called Petco where the previous owner took the dog to get the original shots, and Petco said I shouldn't have to wait four days because I have within a month to get the second set of shots done. I feel happy tails don't know what they are doing. Also they charge twice higher for just a consultation - another clinic charge $68 big comparison. I visit other clinics and the vet allow the pet owner to be in the same office as the vet talk with you about everything including the vet showing placing q-tips to make sure the ears are clean. The office visit is supposed to take at least fifteen minutes but these people come back with my dog in five to six minutes and they say they are done now that was so easy with urgent point they make a pressure for me to leave the veterinary as soon as possible the idea of, you come here give me money and bye whatever you need or hear about your dog they don't pay attention  to your words is no sense to visit a place like this don't recommend  and not accomplish my fulfillment for complete my dog goal 'mission accomplish nothing' midway hospital thousand times better they examine the dog in my face and 100% is a real veterinarian so that way you will find a best place for your dog a best friend since doctors are supposed to be best friends and these people are friends for money.. read more

Dr. Perkins & Lilian are the true animal lovers and I can't appreciate more that I have found them for my 14 year old hot dog. Last year Dr. Perkins did teeth cleaning and spayed my little one at her old clinic and my dog's life quality has tremendously improved. This year Lilian & Dr. Perkins teamed up and opened up Happy Tails, we then followed. Last week, my dog hurt her lower back and couldn't move her hind legs since, we came in pass Monday , Dr. Perkins carefully examined Feefee and told me that I should get her to a Neurologist ASAP as the symptoms presented worried her, as the best in the field she suggested is in Yonkers, we then settled for AMC hoping to get an educational and in depth assessment. However not only we didn't get what's requested, the vet there who examined Feefee had the bone in trouble written down incorrectly. Long story short, Happy tail helped us to review the report from the AMC after we got home, continues to monitor feefee's situation. Finally I booked an appointment with the neurologist that Dr. Perkins suggests, the appointment is going to be next Monday , and Dr.Perkins didn't stop caring for Feefee, she suggested us to come in today to get her laser therapy and steroid shot ( which the ER should have done at the first place ) asking us to come in two days time to closely monitor feefee's intervertebral dis as she is already half paralyzed now , any day matters. They truly care for my dog like their own and I can tell from my dog's reaction, she loves that place and that is everything. We highly recommend happy tail to all pet owners , you will be in good hands there :) read more
