When I called AIPM for a second opinion, I was greeted by a very knowledgeable and polite gentleman named Jordan. He spent nearly an hour inspecting our home (for free!) and shared there were 3 locations on side that needed treatment and the situation was not bad enough to require tenting. I asked a slew of question and he answered all of than knowledgeably. We then scheduled an appointment where Jorge, with over 10 years experience came to do the work. He was incredible and as he said, "small and nimble enough" to get up/over/around all the beams to treat areas and do a second inspection in others. He then cared entire attic with a Borax (sp?). Chris was able to come out to our home quickly, and get a humane "trap" put in place that would allow the critter to leave on its own. The trap simply allowed the critter to get out of the house and not re-enter the hole, but did not actually trap/enclose it or cause any harm. Once we were certain the critter was gone, Chris came back to close up the space and prevent anything from getting back into our home. He consistently followed up with me to see how things were going throughout the process, and also provided some excellent tips on ways we could further critter-proof our home. Sure they can say that the rat was caught after initial cleanup but the fact is other areas were left dirty as well, with rat droppings behind a lot of appliances. Areas they blocked off so no new rats could enter. They simply did not clean as advertised. So if you're an out-of-town landlord who can't personally inspect their work, don't hire this company because they cannot be trusted.

UNSAFE AG Pest was hired to treat a bee infestation inside a small opening in my condo building. The infestation was located within the structure between my main living floor and my rooftop balcony and vegetable garden. Before treatment, I put in writing that I am pregnant, have a serious lung condition, and did not want to be exposed to pesticides. I specifically asked for the spraying time so I could remain inside and first cover the vegetables on my balcony. I was told that the spraying would occur between 10AM and 12PM. Relying on that information, I went outside earlier that morning to cover my vegetables. AG Pest later confirmed in writing that they had actually sprayed between 8:30 and 9:00AM, without notifying me that they had arrived or that spraying had begun. Their failure to follow the communicated schedule exposed me while I was outside. I experienced stinging eyes, stinging throat, dizziness, and a runny nose. Because of my symptoms and pregnancy, I had to contact Poison Control who advised me to be evaluated by my Perinatologist. I had to make a separate appointment to assess my lung health and my baby's health. Alarmingly, I also found another one-star Yelp review (H.M. on Mar 19, 2024) in which a parent reported that AG Pest sprayed pesticides a foot away from their baby in a stroller, who allegedly inhaled the spray. Their reported experience was even worse than mine, but the similarity raises serious concerns about AG Pest's notification and exposure-prevention practices. UNORGANIZED This situation followed months of chaos. AG Pest sent an inspector on April 21 who took photographs but never followed up. After repeated emails and phone calls, the company could not locate its own inspection records and wanted to send another inspector approximately three months later to repeat the process. AG Pest also proposed having a field technician "hang outside my open window" to spray the bee entry point while my home's windows remained open. When I explained the risk of pesticide entering my home, particularly because I am pregnant and have a serious lung condition, the response was that it would "only be for a few minutes." I found that dismissive and completely inadequate given the health information I had explicitly provided. I had to advocate for a lift to keep the pesticides outside of my home. This company's missing records, poor internal communication, shifting plans, unsafe proposal, failure to follow the stated spraying time, and lack of real-time notice created a dangerous and preventable situation. Based on my experience, I would not trust AG Pest to perform pesticide work around pregnant people, children, individuals with respiratory conditions, pets, gardens, or occupied homes.
