First time visit with this office for cleaning and exam. Tamika, hygienist, was gentle and thorough. Dr Hailey was gracious.

I scheduled a cleaning with Aspen Dental on 2.25.26 for a cleaning as a new patient. I completed…read morethe preliminary paperwork online, submitted my insurance information and had my previous dentist send over my dental file. When I arrived for my appointment I was told they could not open the encrypted medical file and that I needed to have the x-rays sent to myself to submit to Aspen directly. It is a MEDICAL OFFICE dealing with sensitive medical information and I cannot be the only patient to have their former provider send over an encrypted medical file due to HIPAA. After doing that, I was told they would not accept the X-rays because they were more than 1 year old, and that I needed to pay them nearly $300 to start my file with them for new X-rays because my insurance company would not pay. I reluctantly paid for the X-rays with my FSA card and asked for a detailed receipt. Then after keeping me there for nearly 3 hours to endure an entire sales pitch, I finally got my teeth cleaned. Three receipts later I NEVER got a DETAILED receipt to show that I paid for X-Rays. It only says I paid $272.00, but does not say for what (so now my FSA will not accept the charge because they need to know what the $272.00 charge was for, as all HSA and FSA companies do). In addition, they not only billed my insurance company for the cleaning, but also for the X-rays they said the insurance would not pay for! It was new insurance with my company and my first claim ever with them, so I knew they would pay as there was never a previous claim. ASPEN is double dipping. Now I cannot get in contact with anyone in the office to question this, get a copy of my X-rays that they were paid for TWICE and get a detailed receipt which was sketchy from the beginning. The call keeps getting routed to an answering service. This place is a total racket. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS OR MONEY.

Horrible experience. They are only interested in upselling expensive treatments that are not…read morenecessary and I clearly stated I did not want. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman rather than a dental professional. For example, they went so far as to add Invisalign to my "treatment plan" after I said I was not interested multiple times. The visit felt like a shake down by the mob trying to extort money out of me. They even had front desk staff come into the treatment room to discuss prices and payment options for over $10,000 worth of unnecessary BS. I will NEVER return.

Had a crown that fell out in Nov 2025! Call emergency service & was given an appt for Austell…read moredental! They were so nice on my 1st visit. My teeth was cleaned & I was fitted for a new crown. Now the nightmare begins. Dr.O began to prepare the tooth for the new crown. The assistant kept talking about her lunch & questioning the Dr.about what she will be eating . In the mean time im gagging cause the assistant is not suctioning my mouth. Then Dr O does not have a tool she needs while working on my mouth. Dr. O leaves to get the tool & the assistant follows . Red Flag!!! After 5 minutes they returned & the temporary was put in. Said it will take couple of weeks for the permanent one. Next day I was in throbbing pain! It was Friday & they were close .I suffered all weekend . Call 1st thing Monday & said im in pain, was told to come in. I was seen but not by the Dr. I explained the pain! No xray was given to ck for infecton.i ask for meds for pain or infection! I was told by an assistant that maybe something else is wrong with me!!!! That was it! How rude! I saw my primary care & he was livid. My Dr.help me out with an antibiotic By the end of the week I got a call saying my crown was ready. DR.O put the crown in & smooth it to mesh with my teeth & said if I have problem with the bite come back. Well had to go back cause it felt rough. Didn't see Dr O ! another dental assistant smooth it for me. STILL not happy or COMFORTABLE with this CROWN! IT FEELS TO BIG & IRRATIING THE TOOTH NEXT TO IT! I'm using orajel constantly to numb the discomfort. I will never go there again. Once my insurance paid they were done with me! By the way my insurance was filed & paid Austell dental within 2 wks after the work was done. Also they do ignore calls & messages. Now they had the nerve to send a reminder for my cleaning! No i dont think so!!!

You can tell they take care of the team considering how well they treat their patients. I had to bring my son to the appointment and they were extremely understanding and helpful whenever he was being a kid hahah. I will be 100% returning and voicing my great experience. They're out of network from my insurance and I will still come here, this is an investment I am willing to make. Special shoutout to Lisa, she was indescribably good, and Dr. Nguyen, very professional and non-judgmental. Loved it, 10/10 will recommend

Multiple BILLING ISSUES: I've been a patient at Atlanta West Dentistry for over five years…read more Initially, I was very pleased with their services the staff seemed professional, the reviews were great, and the dental work met my expectations. However, over time, I've encountered multiple ongoing billing issues that have ultimately led to my decision to leave this practice. One of the main issues involved overcharges of hundreds of dollars, primarily by front desk staff (specifically Hailey). These discrepancies were only corrected after I contested the charges using my Explanation of Benefits (EOB). While I appreciated that some credits were eventually applied to my account, these errors continued to occur raising serious concerns about accuracy and transparency. Even after addressing previous issues, the same pattern repeated. I strongly recommend that anyone receiving treatment here carefully review their EOBs and compare them to what they are being charged out-of-pocket. On one occasion, I was told I had fillings done on both tooth #2 and #5, yet I clearly remember work being done only on tooth #2. Despite voicing this, I was still billed for both. When I requested clarification, Robin attempted to explain the charges, but they still did not align with what was billed to my insurance provider. This experience has not only been frustrating but has also led me to question the integrity of some of the billing and treatment practices. It's deeply disappointing after years of being a loyal patient. As a result, I will no longer be returning to Atlanta West Dentistry, and I will be transferring the care of my entire family elsewhere. I'm also advising anyone I previously referred to this practice to check their billing statements closely or consider other options. I hope this review serves as a helpful warning for others to be vigilant and protect themselves from potential overcharges or miscommunication. Look at the details of what was billed to my insurance and then to me out of pocket. I am really considering taking them to small claims court and reporting them to the Board
