I'm leaving 2 stars only because I received a partial refund ($50), but the experience was a disaster. I paid $140 total ($90 base, $10 removal, $20 chrome, $20 tip) for a set that didn't even last through a shower plus a side of gaslighting. The day after my appointment, the chrome literally disappeared from my right hand. When I messaged Anita, her response was that this 'never happens' to her clients. I went in for a fix the following day, pointed out that the other hand was also starting to peel, and was told it 'wasn't happening.' Not only did she dismiss my concerns during the fix, but the peeling got significantly worse the moment I got home and washed my hands. When I sent videos of the new peeling, she sent me a screenshot of an article on 'how to fix chrome' instead of taking accountability for the application, she blamed me by accusing me of filing my own nails or using chemicals. It's been one week since the "fix" and 7 out of 10 nails are peeling chrome. She refunded the $50 chrome fee but kept the rest, claiming the 'foundation' was perfect. As you can see in the photos, the filing is also uneven. Save your time and money. Between the technical failure and the gaslighting of being told I wasn't seeing what I was clearly seeing, it's not worth it. Dismissive tech who prioritizes her ego over her clients' results. read more

WOW. Loved my service with Anita! From the second I walked into her space I felt warm and comfortable. Appointment was quick, easy, and straightforward to set up. I had a very last minute appointment with no issues. Anita walked me through carefully what my options were, including Gel-X extensions vs hard gel on natural nails because I'd had a prior nail tech over-drill my nails and they were still damaged and weak. We ultimately opted to do Gel X extensions. It was my first time doing extensions so she walked me through all things safety/nail care/removal, as that was forefront in my mind after my prior experience at another salon. As for the design, I was blown away by her ability to come up with such a cute design on the spot. I'd shown her some inspo pics and told her roughly what my vision was and she ran with it. She approaches each set of nails as a true artist (bonus: the paintings lining the stairwell up to her studio are all painted by her) with intense attention to detail and creativity. She not only was able to perfectly replicate flower details I'd wanted, but took it upon herself to add water droplets as I'd said I love the ocean and pearl details to match jewelry I was planning to wear for my upcoming trip. You can tell in other details of the service too, her love for her craft and expertise. For curing the nails, the UV light machine she uses has a special AI feature to only shine UV light on your nails itself, protecting your skin on your hands. As someone who's passionate about skincare, I loved that. To send a client home, she has a complimentary custom cuticle oil solution that she mixes herself filled in a cute syringe like paintbrush to care for your nailbeds that smells absolutely divine. It's been over a week since I've had my nails done and I work a lot with my hands but I've noticed no chipping, cracking, or damage to my nails, including any of the 3D pearls she had applied. She mentioned she takes great care to ensure that designs stay on as long as possible, and this result is testament to that. Slightly higher pricepoint, but well worth it for her care, attitude, expertise, and final product. While I can't usually have nails with my work, I will definitely be back the next time there's an occasion! read more

I've gone to Anita a few times the first time was great but these last two times were not worth it. First time I went I was charged $110 for gel and designs, no extensions or removals, I thought that was pretty fair. Now less than a year later for the same ask I was charged $140, again no extensions or removals. For that price I expect the set to last and it doesn't. The chrome I got was fading after a few days and the gel started to chip also within the first week. I didn't bother with asking her to fix it or a refund because for that price I shouldn't need to. This last set sent me back $160 including tip there's no reason why I should be asking to get it fixed. Happy I tried it out but not the tech for me. read more

Worst nail tech I've ever been to. The reviews here are so misleading, I've been getting my nails done since I was 5 and have been getting builder gel done for years now. I have never had such a painful and upsetting experience before. She was incredibly careless with the drill, cutting half of one of my nails off at one point, saying that it wouldn't have happened if I didn't move. I did not move a millimeter, I have had multiple nail techs tell me how still I am during the filing process. At multiple other points, she cut me with the drill, blaming me for moving when I did not move at all. At the very end she destroyed my nails, making them the most weak and brittle they have ever been. I pride myself on having very strong and healthy nails, which have now been destroyed by her. They are now extremely jagged and crooked underneath the gel because she drilled down my natural nail AFTER the gel was applied. It was not a simple filing and shaping afterwards, she obliterated my natural nail afterwards. Additionally, I asked for some character designs and I said only to do them if she was capable of doing so. I told her multiple times throughout the process that if she was incapable of recreating them, I would choose another design. She said she could do them and produced what I believe my little cousin could recreate. I was greatly disappointed and wished she had just told me they were too complicated and I would have gladly chosen another design. Come here if you want damaged, broken nails and subpar nail art. read more
