My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. The pork chops were incredibly tender and juicy, not dry at all. I was expecting it to be a little dry, as I feel like pork chop can sometimes get overcooked, but no. These were so juicy and tender. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. We divided our group of 16 into smaller groups and we were all able to sit down right away. There was live music which went great with the ambience of this place. The service was great. We all tried different dishes and one suggestion would be to include a side with the dishes that don't include it. Recommendations to give a try would be the burger and the buffalo boneless wings. As far as parking goes, we parked in the main garage by the visitor's center and walked the whole day. This place must have been about a 10 min walk from the garage. Keep in mind, this is not a fancy restaurant, but it's good for a quick bite or drink during the day.
