They are NOT SANITARY at all!!!! Horrible experience!! First off the girl rushed the whole time and did a horrible job on my paint. There's dark spots in it and she didn't bother to go over it. She made my cuticles bleed BAD and then painted over the blood and put the brush back in the bottle... my cuticle kept bleeding through the paint and she kept brushing over it. She then put the cuticle cutter's cap back on it and put it back in the drawer and then I watched the guy come get them and use them on someone else. This place is not sanitary at all!!! That is extremely nasty and disturbing. Really hope I don't get an infection from this place because I did not know they don't sanitize the cutters. The edges of the paint is really rough and horrible looking (I got the gel) and it's just all around gross. I had a decent visit the last time I went which is why I went back, but you know what they say.... one bad apple can ruin the whole barrel. Never going back. read more

My daughter and I always go here because it's close to our house but we will find somewhere else next time. For the past 3 times they always tell my daughter they can't do what she's asking for, she's 10 so she doesn't ask for anything crazy. The first one was cheetah print, then she just wanted cherries on 2 of her nails & the other was a black flame. I always question them why they can't do it and they always say Ok and do it. So why say they can't in the first place? Another time I wanted pink & black ombré and was told they couldn't do it. I asked if they couldn't do any ombré or was the colors I wanted the issue? So she started doing it anyway (pink & black) and it looked horrible. She used some black powder & it looked like chalk on my nails very thick and uneven. I asked 4 times for the fade even made a referenced to the two women sitting next to me that we're getting the same thing I asked for, she told me she was doing that for me. I also asked for coffin nails, mind you I already had a set of nails on and I've never gotten a French fade before. This bitch fucked up the shape so bad they look hideous, the French tip also looks like absolute shit and she made me bleed on several fingers. I came in with my girls for 3 manicures. One with gel color, one with regular clear and one with no polish. They seated my girls quickly. They did very quick basic manicures, never asked if I wanted one of the specialty kinds. They skipped over me and took someone else so I had to wait longer. Went to check out and found out they had put shellac on my one of the girls when we only wanted regular clear. When I said I was disappointed in the service the gentleman said all salons are like that. Um, no they aren't. One guy was arguing saying my daughter said gel. Honestly this place is horrible! Waited for about 20 minutes all together. Came in for a pedicure! The chairs are so uncomfortable and the spa part looked like it had not been cleaned all day. My water was cold and when i asked for them to make it hotter they just ignored me! The treatment and massage I got was horrible! While I was sitting there I seen people get up and leave and then them have someone sit in a place that was not cleaned! So the service was horrible and there was no conversation at all! I was told the only way to get it done was to use gel polish because regular polish takes to long to dry. So I who is loyal customer and one who tip with every service is not worth the drying time. So two stars may seem low considering they did in fact provide me services, here is why I'm just not that excited about this place....the decor is a strange blend of tacky Asian and beach, the chairs here always seem to be barely operational like they were handed down from another salon or just cheap. Finally, it just doesn't seem that clean. The guy who I got today was the short straw for sure, barely getting in and around my nails (both hands/feet), timidly trimming cuticles, going through the scrubbing motion, etc...basically I still need the mani/pedi part of this $53 dollar paint job. I went here on the recommendation from a lovely lady at the airport. She mentioned that Ann's was laid back and often treated patrons better than other nail salons in the area. The lady was correct in the treatment received. Getting their just an hour before closing, the technicians ungrudgingly seated me right away in a comfy massage chair while immediately offering me a beverage. I had a manicure, pedicure, and an eye brow wax which totaled right at fifty dollars excluding tip, not bad to getting some much needed personal maintenance done. Both the manicure and the eye brow wax were finished with a short gentle message which was a nice touch. This is my regular spot. I typically go about once a month for a pedi and 3-4 weeks for eyebrow wax. For as unpleasant as an eyebrow wax can be, I love getting it done at Ann's :) They do a little face massage afterward and it's so super relaxing. The massage chairs are pretty good and they have a menu of services for pedicures. I'm more into "take care of my feet and massage them" rather than what color my toes are, and I'm never disappointed. I came here for my business trip with other co workers , the night before the meeting, i decided to look for a place to have my mani and pedi , so Ann nails spa is about 5 minutes walking distance from my hotel . The moment i came in , they took me in right away and put in the pedi chair with warm water got filled while i picked out the gel color. What really touches my heart is the lady who does my nail , even though she doesn't know much English but she tired to talk to me all the time, my mom just passed away 2 months ago and i shared with her , by very little English but what she said made me feel so much better and warmer. I didn't pay much attention on her job because i was busy talking to her, but it turned out wonderful . so i went up front to pay, what makes me give 5 stars is my nail tech came up to me and hugged tight, tell me how everything is going to be ok and my mom will be in heaven, while i wrote this review my eyes got teary .... My sister and I came here on a whim because we wanted to get our nails done. It was close and they weren't busy so why not right. That was a mistake. Although my nails came out fine, got shellac with a manicure, my sister on the other hand was not so lucky. Her nails were cut way too short, she got cut with the tools, and had a design put on without approving it. Uhm, since when do the technicians decide how they want to do our nails? I went here to have a simple fill done. They did the crappiest job I have ever seen. You can see my old nails under the new fill on EVERY finger. You can also see where the old nails had lifted under multiple nails. I did not request nor want gel, yet they used gel and charged me an extra 3 dollars on it. Not only did I get crappy service but my friend went after I did and she got mold under two of her nails! MOLD! And they refused to take the nails off for free. They wanted to charge her 3.00 to take them off after they didn't clean their tools properly. Disgusting do not go here. read more

In a town filled with nail salons Ann's is truly the best! The staff is very plesent ant their work is top notch. Things that other salons charge extra for are standard here, such as a salt scrub with a basic pedicure! A basic manicure also includes a mini neck and shoulder massage, and it is heaven!! They have a "menu" of different manis and pedis, but for me the basic is all I need, and more than I used to get at other salons, for very competitive prices! Walked in and got a full set. I expected to pay around 28-30. Ended up paying 40. Not including the tip my husband shouldn't have added. There was no communication what so ever. I was given extras such as a gel topcoat which I didn't ask for. He left in the middle of doing my set to work on another customers nails for 10 minutes. No concern for twisting my fingers. I've had my nails done for the past 5 years and been to over 25 salons. On top of all this he did my nails at a dirty station. I had someone else's nail dust all over my hands before he even started filling mine. Gross. Instead of asking me how long I wanted them he just starting chopping off the tips. That's nice. Easily the worst place I've ever been to for my nails. My mom and I went and did not receive any of the treatment that is praised in these other reviews. They kept us there for over two hours when it wasn't even that busy. My mom's manicure was unsatisfactory as they simply painted her nails, no massage, lotion or anything. They also painted her nails with a completely different color than what she asked for. My manicurist left in the middle of my manicure to eat his dinner in the back room and did not give me any warning of whether I was done or not. My mom and I were both very displeased. Not only did she and her staff provide excellent service (closed the spa for a private party) she provided tables for us to bring food and also included beverages and snacks. I had a full set and pedicure done today and I will never be back. I have been looking for a new salon bc the one I usually go to is going downhill in quality. I decided on Ann bc of the decent reviews. When we came in, there were 3 people there and it was 10am. We didn't leave til 130. 3 1/2 hours of a classic (8 mins) pedicure and a full set? Seriously? I got the powder nails and at first I was excited but seeing the end result was atrocious. The nails are bumpy, to thick, and there a holes where he didn't fill them in completely. The pedicure left me furious. I have an issue with my big toe and asked him not to dig into the side of the nail bed or anything bc it was extremely painful for me. He kept saying no you do it you do it and it finally infuriated me to the point of letting out an expletive. This is customer service. You do as the customer requests, not what you think you should do. You don't try to force a customer to accept something they know will cause them an extreme amount of pain. I knew at that point I was never coming back. The polish selection was minimal and dated. The polish that was supposed to match my pink nails is red. I give up. Just ridiculous all the way around. They take their time on the waxing and once they finish waxing, I got a little 5 minute face massage. The pedicure was great, you get to choose from a big list on the type you want. Was hopeful coming in here as it seemed pretty busy with regulars. I was greeted right when I walked in and seated for my pedicure within 5 minutes which was nice since I had just called for an appointment. The gentlemen doing my pedicure was very nice and had me pick which pedicure I wanted done. I picked the second one from a basic and thought it was a little over priced for $34 but decided it was worth it for the callus remover. There was a major language barrier since he hardly spoke English and I kept having to ask him to repeat himself still not understanding. I understand this isn't unusual, but normally I can get by pretty well even with broken English. This was different. I tried communicating that the water was boiling hot but didn't exactly get through to him because my feet and legs were bright red afterwards. His massage was ok at first then it was so hard it left bruises on my feet! It was not enjoyable at all. At first I thought maybe I was just sensitive but then it became pretty unbearable and tried to get him to do less. The nail polish selection was just ok but he did do a nice job of cleaning up my nails and putting the polish on. I was happy with how they looked in the end but kind of in pain and my feet felt raw. I'm thinking if I had had someone else, my experience would have been better. Very sweet man, but definitely needed to work on his customer listening skills... The place itself was clean as well as his tools and station. Chairs were comfortable but I will probably be looking elsewhere. read more
