Been searching for a good pizza place in LA for two decades and finally found a GREAT ONE! Get the upside down slice, well done and tell me it's not perfection!! I used to live in NYC and miss pizza the most, until now. Took my friends here for dinner and everything was great: Caesar salad was delicious, white pizza , chicken wings fresh .... Stand out star was the GARLIC KNOTS !!! Maybe the best knots I've ever had period. Small "moms and pops" place. Decorated so cute. Service great. Totally smitten with Anna's Pizza. It's a quaint little stripmall delight of a business and it was poppin! Dined in with my husband and tried a little of this and that. Tables were constantly full and had a healthy flow of pick up orders coming and going. -Caesar- excellent -Tie dye pie- very very good, we loved the strong basil flavor -Garlic knots- excellent -Fried mozzarella- very good. I liked it a and my husband loved it -Spaghetti and wagyu meatballs- the one thing we both found underwhelming. I wasn't expecting much for the pasta, but had high hopes for the meatballs. They charge a 3% service charge to use a credit card, but they won't let you pay in cash to avoid the fee. I'm never eating here again. The food really isn't good and this level of being money hungry leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

The delicious Italian food and fantastic service had me back the next day. Rigatoni alla vodka is very tasty and a generous portion. Ordered the garlic knot sliders again cause they are so good. Tried the zeppole dessert (fried dough balls with powdered sugar and jam on top) and it came out warm and fresh. The service is A+. The pizza here is absolutely delicious! Service was wonderful, what a great space! Plenty of indoor seating, but also packaged very well to go. Also, plenty of easy parking, the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The pizza was fantastic, the appetizer is however need some work. The garlic knots look delicious but we're still raw on the inside and the Arancini fell apart instantly, I would've also wished for some filling such as cheese, ham or peas instead of just rice. The mozzarella sticks also had zero cheese pole and were quite generic. We would definitely be back for the pizzas and pass on the appetizers next time. read more

I live in NYC. I eat pizza at least 5 times a week. I have access to 10 of the best pizza places I the world within 5 miles of my apartment. With all that said, this is the best pizza I have ever had. Ever, I went there everyday on my last business trip, took a few colleagues, and i am now trying to figure out if they can send me frozen pies to NYC. The owner and staff are also fantastic. I am somewhat known and they let me (us), sit at the bar in anonymity . It's also great room and just a nice place to go and eat some very, very good food. If you live in LA, you re in luck! Pretty solid pizza place in Valley Village! It was close to a park where my daughter was playing with her friend from school. Her mom told us about this place so we went there and gave it a try! The staff was super friendly. We just split a cheese and pepperoni pizza. Really wanted to try the Pepperoni Dreams pizza but they couldn't do halfsies with a specialty pizza. Anna Pizza is a new Italian restaurant that recently opened in the area and their menu goes beyond wood-fire pizza as you can also order pasta, sandwiches, and entrees. This is not your typical pizzeria since the chef/owner also runs Fire & Wood Catering and they now have their first brick and mortar location. Anna Pizza is located in Valley Village on Burbank Blvd and Whitsett Ave with plenty of free parking. Although they have taken over the space where Gorilla Pies (RIP) used to be, you can expect to still come here and enjoy a delicious slice. I recently did a take out order and got the Brooklyn White round pizza. When I got to the restaurant, it felt like a mom-and-pop neighborhood Italian restaurant with plenty of framed photos as decoration. The customer service was beyond kind and the pizza was cooked fresh inside a wood-fire oven. As for the pizza, my wife and I were happy we went with a Brooklyn White for our first order. It was made with shredded mozzarella, ricotta cheese, shaved Parmesan with fresh garlic , black pepper, and Graza Olive Oil. What made this pie stand out was the sesame seed crust, this was definitely a first. I do plan to come back so I can explore the menu and I hope Anna Pizza is here to stay! read more

Dined in on a Friday night & had the best experience. Everyone was super sweet & welcoming. It's a very small establishment but people are in & out quickly. Their pizza choices are unique with fresh ingredients and they have the best crust! We tried their pepperoni dream again but this time I asked for no chili & it was perfect; I love the fresh mozzarella they use on their pizzas. Ambiance was chill environment. The restaurant is small so depending on crowds and time of day I'm not sure how busy it gets/ how wait times are. This place is on the pricier side for pizza, if you're looking for a quick bite with different types of pizza options be mindful it is limited on toppings. I wouldn't recommending sitting there if you have children or plan on staying there for a while as they don't have any bathrooms open for their customers which is a bummer. We did take out on this pizza and received it right why it came out. Pizza was good but nothing too special on the flavor. There is additional charges for ranch and any other sauces. Because I'm so spoiled by Portland's pizza I couldn't give this pizza five stars but I'd say it's 3.5 out of 5. Update: Brought my wife and a friend back. The wife is gluten-free and had the wings and an order of fries. Friend and I shared a pizza and I had spaghetti. First up: The pizza is excellent, easily on par with some of the great slice shops in the area. Spaghetti and meatballs is very good. I'd personally love some bread on the side to dip into the extra sauce. The fries are pretty close to McDonald's quality. Great crunch, salt level and flavor. Finally! The valley is absolutely BLESSED with another family owned pizza spot that is absolutely delicious. The pizza is perfectly greasy, well topped and seasoned. I truly enjoy this pizza and it made my partner who is from the east coast miss home a little less with the perfect 'za. Service is very friendly. The owners seem to be very in touch with the community and always have friends and famly in their supporting the dream. It's very casual but enough to have a cute date night. Everything was amazing! We started with the mozzarella sticks which they told us are made in-house from fresh mozzarella. We had the L'industrie pizza. Thin crust with a good chew. The Cheesesteak was delicious. The ribeye portion was very generous and well seasoned. The housemade sesame bun was a perfect complement. We ended the night with the zeppoles. Tried for the very first time and it was SUPREMELY delicious! We got the Pepperoni Dream and it was just that! Perfectly cupped pepperoni, fantastic level of spice paired with a hint of sweetness, creamy ricotta, and a flavorful, fresh basil chiffonade on top. Loved the garlic knots, too. This place will have you on a one-way flight straight to NYC! The ambiance is so East Coast with a touch of the West Coast. I loved the penny floor, such a nice touch! The owner and his team are so nice and welcoming. They answer any questions with so much passion!! But man, the food is another level. Their pepperoni dreaming legit had me dreaming for more. Perfect pie with nice chew and excellent char not too burnt but just right. Their pasta hits also I had their cacio pepe with grilled chicken and it was bomb! Today I had their Wagyu garlic knot parm and it was a slam dunk! Their pizzas again another level of their own legit top 5 in LA. So light but so much flavor and everything you could want in a NY pie. Their cheese slice brought me back to my childhood. Getting pizza with my grandpa was one of the most precious moments ever and this brought back all of those memories with the flavors. And trust me - we asked her a ton! And she just couldn't have been nicer but also just incredible and someone who you can tell takes great pride in being there and interacting with everyone there. We ordered the garlic knots - they are a must! We did the rigatoni alla vodka - delish! It's nice to find places that do a traditional vodka sauce that isn't spicy! And such a generous portion size of pasta - would absolutely order again! We did two pies - the cheese pie and the Brooklyn White. Both incredible! We are from NY so we do love a NY style pizza and are always in search of it here in the valley and this is some of the best we've had! The sesame crust on the white pizza was INSANE! Just truly one of our favorite pie's in LA! The food is delish and so incredibly and reasonably priced! I found out about this spot through a local IG post and a few friends and I decided to check it out. We ended up ordering a variety of dishes and took plenty home to enjoy over the next few days! This eatery is from the team behind Fire and Wood Catering so they already had a reputation before building their first brick and mortar. I cannot say enough good things about this spot! All of the food is top notch, you can't go wrong with anything you order. For appetizers, their meatballs, arancini in vodka sauce and house made mozzarella sticks are to die for. The arancini is served over this creamy and dream ricotta cheese that is whipped to perfection with the vodka sauce. Absolutely a showstopper. You have to try an order of their garlic knot sliders, I've never had anything like this. And of course the stars of the show are their pastas and pizza. Their rigatoni vodka rivals some of the best in the city and every pizza on the menu absolutely hits. Don't skip dessert, their cannoli pizza is so unique, you have to give it a try at least once. We all have our go to mexican place, our fave indian spot, and chinese, and hopefully our favorite pizza joint. the trouble is that pizza joints usually have awful decor and vibe. i ate at a v good pizza place in Noho where their ac was broken. During the heat, and less than 8 ft from their pizza ovens. most have outdoor furniture that screams take your pizza and git. How refreshing it was to eat at anna pizza last night. the waitress was wonderful and attentive, the decor and ambiance was awesome, we met almost all the staff includiong the owner and his mom, wonderful people. but the food...it was marvelous. the pep pizza we had was fantastic, as were the garlic knots and caesar salad. a small place which will inevitably begin to fill up with adoring clients. Count us in as two of them. this is our favorite pizza joint. and oh btw, great music dude. read more

Let me start off by saying this place has good pizza but that's about all it's got. I ordered a sparkling water and was told 10 minutes later they are " sold out ". Ok, sure, things happen. Ordered an appetizer along with the pepperoni dream and Philly cheesesteak. Appetizer no longer available... ok Wednesday night it is what it is. We saw someone order a dessert pizza but decided to get another dessert. Was informed they "didn't have it available" and only had the Nutella pizza and chocolate chip cookies left. Great we took the chocolate chip cookies. 5 minutes later she comes back and tells me they're out???? What kind of restaurant is out of sparkling water, appetizers, and 75% of their dessert menu? And to rub it in the check arrived and they wouldn't let me pay in cash. On a side note, the Philly cheesesteak looked phenomenal but tasted bland. The pizza was however very good. I wouldn't come here any time soon until they figure their logistics out. You've been open for 6 months, it's not hard to stock sparkling water in the back, they don't expire. read more

This is my first time ever Here. OK, here we go! I ordered the roasted vegetable pizza asked to add pepperoni. I was told they cannot add pepperoni or any other toppings to this particular pizza due to the fact that it will be too much and if they do add pepperoni, it will all slide off when I pick it up to eat it! I said thank you for warning me, but could you just go ahead and please add pepperoni and if it slides off I will take full responsibility now that you warned me. she told me it's just their policy they cannot add any toppings! Oh but wait it gets better. She tells me she can put the pepperonis on the side for me and I can add them myself. Officially my new favorite pizza in LA. Absolutely loved the dough & the crust, loved the options, loved the flavors; everything was perfect. My favorite White Pizza was the one from Secret Pizza at Cosmopolitan in Vegas, but this definitely takes the top spot in my book. Their service was excellent, run by the owners themselves, super sweet and amazing! If not for the pizza, I'd go back there just for the interaction. The inside was very inviting and had cool decorations. The story behind the name and the family is awesome to hear as well! Would definitely go back there for all their food.
