This is my second time here and I knew I had to come back when I was in the area. My first time here was for a Yelp game night event and I enjoyed their sub so when I was back in the area last night, I knew I had to come back. When I came, they were having like a bingo night so there were some people participating in it. I got the 8 inch Kali Mist sub and got my wife the same order. I customized my sub by asking for the avocado on the side and without pickle or onion. Mu wife sub was just with no tomatoes. The drinks options here are amazing, you have kool aid! They also have different kind of tea as well. This place also has a bar where you can get drinks. There enough seating to accommodate for most guest but I was just taking to go. They didn't take long to make my order and I had a great time chatting with the person preparing my order. He was very nice and energized with a upbeat attitude. He let me know that the sandwich was labeled so I would know which sub was which with the customization. It's street parking here or you can try to park in the little garage in the back, I just walked here. My sandwich was delicious and has a little kick to it. I will recommend that if you get the Kali Mist, you should eat it while it's fresh for the best taste. The sub will fill you up because it has so much toppings in it and they give you a decent amount too. My wife loved her sub as well beside the bacon since I forgot to ask for that on the side. This place is so much better than your average sandwich shop. The walls are covered in funky, unique art, the vibes are laid-back, and the sandwiches? Amazing flavor combos. Power Plant - Garlic Herb bread. Medium. It was huge! They also serve it open faced when you dine in. A good balance of healthy veggies and delicious melted cheese. The flavors went so well together. The little bits of olive spread throughout gave it a little extra pizzazz. I do wish they added more guac. There was only a small helping on top. We got two subs to go, for our airplane ride. The young lady who took the order was very pleasant, even when I asked her what the extra 50 cents charge was for (and she explained it was for the vinegar we requested on our lettuce). One sandwich was ham, the other roast beef. Both were on white bread with a smidgen of mayo, lettuce with vinegar on it, and then the lunch meat. Hungrily biting into my sub on the plane, without opening the sandwich to check its ingredients, I had some sort of creamy dressing squish out all over my shirt. It was not vinegar. My daughter hates creamy dressings and ate about half of her sub, pulled what ham she could out of the other half, and threw out the creamy-sauce-soaked bread. We ordered over at the bar. The place was really big and had games you could play if you decided to stay and eat. I ordered the small Kali Mist without peppers or pickles though they did leave the pickles on (don't judge, I love pickles, just not on my sandwich!). I'm not a fan of that lingering pickle taste. The price point was great for deli sandwiches and they have three sizes to choose from. I did wish they had more of a variety of bread options, but I chose the garlic bread and it was delicious. This was my second time visiting, and unfortunately it was a very different experience from my first visit, which had been great. This time, I noticed some very concerning food safety practices. The person making sandwiches was wearing gloves but repeatedly touched his phone, adjusted his earpiece, pulled up his shorts, and then continued preparing food without changing his gloves. This was extremely unsanitary and honestly very off-putting. In addition, the service at the bar was disappointing. The bartender came across as rude, and when we asked for water while sitting at the bar, instead of providing it, we were handed empty cups and told to get up and fill them ourselves at the fountain. That's not the level of service I would expect when seated and being served. I wanted to bring this to your attention because my first visit was a positive one, and I was hoping this place would be somewhere I'd return to regularly. However, basic hygiene and courteous service are non-negotiable, and this experience fell short in both areas. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve moving forward. read more

Hubby ordered their roast beef sandwich w Au jus dip. My son ordered their chicken sandwich and daughter got the turkey one. Everything were good and we were all satisfied. So this time around: the cold foam took most room as it felt less liquid at the bottom, but still tasty. So I ordered a second one, it was made by someone else, a nice guy as well, and the cold foam vs. liquid ratio was perfectly balanced. 4/5 I also ordered a hot sub and went for their "pacific blue"aka tuna melt in the "nug" size which is a perfect size sub if you don't have a big appetite. It includes: tuna salad, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, shake & house dressing. Yummy!! I really enjoyed this hot sub, the melted cheese on top of the tuna, tuna was perfect and not "fishy" paired well with the toppings and I love purple onion, it is the best to give your food ultimate flavor. Yes I highly suggest this sandwich if you don't want to indulge in the other meats, this one is just right. Does not feel heavy and the best part was all the melted cheese with each bite I took. This review is based solely on customer service. Last night, my boyfriend and I ordered via ubereats. We had never ordered from Cheba Hut before, but we were excited to try it. After waiting an hour, I realized my ubereats driver was nowhere close to picking up our order. I called Cheba Hut to ask if our order was ready (I thought maybe the delay was on their end) and a SUPER awesome guy name Brandon (or maybe Brenden? I'm so sorry I was frustrated so I can't remember his name exactly) helped me. He confirmed that yes, our order had been sitting ready for 20-30 minutes and explained that he could remake the food for me if I could figure out when the driver was arriving. After another half hour of my driver not moving (and some of the most frustrating customer service interactions I've ever had with ubereats- don't use them!!), I called Cheba Hut back and spoke again to Brandon. He was so understanding, helpful, and sweet. He did everything he could to help, even though his hands were basically tied in this situation. We never received our subs, but I'll be ordering from Cheba Hut again soon based on customer service alone. And this time we'll pick it up ourselves. Thank you for trying to help!! read more

Every employee went out of their way to check up on us at some point, and we stayed a while and played some of their board games. Got The Kind the other day! Whoa this was definitely a packed sub. I've never had anything like it! Also had no idea there was a bar to sit at too! Only a few chairs directly at the bar, but enough to make for a home-like feel, and plenty of other seating around as well. Their sandwiches are phenomenal. We've tried the AK-47 french dip, Northern Lights special (roast beef/turkey club) Jamaican Red buffalo chicken, and 5-0 meat lovers - they were all amazing. The Jamaican Red is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I moaned after every bite. For the sandwiches we've tried, every component was bomb - the meat, the toppings, the condiments. The garlic herb bread is scrumptious, and they lightly toast the bread to perfection - I loathe tough toasted bread that splinters into crumbs with every bite. The drinks are also great. The Hash Can cocktail goes down quickly; very tart and refreshing for a hot day. Their plain iced tea is delicious. Service is always on point - the workers are friendly and efficient. The place is well-maintained, with a fun aesthetic - we like to place a pick-up order to make sure all our topping preferences, etc. are input properly, then go and eat it there with a round of cocktails. They host events like streaming the weekly episodes of "Survivor" and trivia nights, and they also have drink specials some days ($3 off Hash Cans on Fridays!)
