    Clam pizza and meatball pizza
    Megan H.

I've been waiting to try Anna's Vesuviano for a while now, and just got the chance to this weekend! We got the clam pizza and the meatball pizza. I had never had clam on pizza before, but I thought the flavors worked quite well together. The meatball pizza was also delicious and was a bit more classic than the clam. It was fairly filling for the two of us. It was pricier for pizza, but I would go in person next time to check out the ambiance and other flavors.

located where piemonte used to be (which i am still mourning), this innovative pizza spot opened with traditional italian food using traditional middle eastern ingredients sourced from Ramallah by way of Paterson, NJ. i tasted that palestinian olive oil in the food for sure. the story is the chef is an archaeological professional who honors his italian grandmother "Anna" and the historical origins of flatbread coming from the middle east. i love history, cultural integrity of food, and good food so this was an easy try. it's $20-25 for a pie that is 12 inches but it makes sense with these quality ingredients. we got the summer pie which didn't have tomato sauce and i appreciated that because of my heartburn issues. we also split a caesar salad, suppli, and lemon posset. loved the salad could eat 5 of them on repeat. the suppli reminded me of arancini and i enjoyed the whipped ricotta. pizza was filling for me after two slices with all the other tries. the lemon posset had sumac, basil leaves, and olive oil toppings. my unsolicited opinion on this fusion is to sub out the basil leaves for mint leaves, the olive oil for pomegranate molasses, and then less sumac. it was really hot and they had a big fan blowing but it was still hot inside. i also need backed stools for the seating because they're a bit uncountable, and stronger napkins. it would complete the aesthetic in my unsolicited opinion. fab food will eat again.

The best pizza I've had since being in Naples. Chewy delicious crust and remarkable toppings. The "summer pie" was amazing. I was also astonished to discover their desserts-- a completely unexpected delight. I loved the semolina cake with blood orange slices baked into the top, a limoncello custard inside a lemon rind, and a sublime fig tart! Although we ordered take-out, the place itself was filled with folks creating a lovely vibe. Don't miss eating here.

The worst thing about Anna's Vesuviano pizza, is when you're on the last slice. :(

The crust had that perfect wood-fired char -- crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with just the right amount of crunch around the edges. The clam chowder side was such a Rhode Island/New England experience. Creamy, savory, loaded with seafood flavor, and topped with fresh herbs and potatoes that gave true chowder vibes in pizza form. Honestly, you can't come to Providence and not try chowder in every form possible! The meat lovers side was bold, hearty, and stacked with toppings. Pepperoni curled perfectly at the edges, sausage was flavorful, and every bite had the perfect balance of sauce, cheese, and smoky meat flavor. The atmosphere was relaxed, modern, and perfect for casual dining with friends or family. Great food, great vibe, and definitely a spot worth revisiting while in Providence.

There was street parking and at the time, it was free. There were about 4 parties inside when we walked in, which gave us some time to think about which slices we wanted. We eventually went with the arugula, cranberry, balsamic drizzle, and I think feta along with the spicy sun dried tomato. The slices are pretty big and they do put them in the oven before handing them over. Each slice is about $4-$6, but you can also order whole pies. There was seating inside, but the air conditioning was too strong, so we found a table outside. Before stepping out, we poured ourselves cups of complimentary water. The crust is crispy and thin so you really get to taste all the toppings. The arugula one was really good. I enjoyed the different flavors: sweet, salty, creamy, acidic, and surprisingly, the arugula was not overly bitter. The sun-dried tomato one was also good. I am typically not a fan but this one was good since the tomato wasn't tough, or overly acidic. I would highly recommend Fellini's for great food at a good price. I would consider this location to be better for quick trips, or take out to eat the food at the Pedestrian bridge, but they do have another location in Cranston which is prettier and bigger for sit down, family style, and large groups.

The bartender barely made eye contact, and when I ordered a spicy tequila soda, I was served with Tajín sprinkled on top--not exactly what I'd expect for a spicy drink. The food was equally underwhelming. The pepperoni pizza came out with the pepperoni completely burnt. When we mentioned it, we were told that's simply how they prepare it, so keep that in mind if you order pizza here. The wings were decent and had a good amount of meat on them, but that was about the only highlight. The nachos arrived swimming in grease, making them difficult to enjoy, and the toppings were just average. The French fries were another issue--they appeared to have been cooked in the same fryer as seafood. This wasn't disclosed, and the fries came out tasting noticeably fishy. Thankfully, I don't have a seafood allergy, but that could be a serious concern for someone who does. The ambiance was fine, but overall the food and service left a lot to be desired, and I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

You walk into the space & the first thing you see is a gauntlet with swinging "axes" that you need to run through without getting hit! I kinda wish everyone had to do it to gain access but it is one of the many fun games/adventures from Level99. The special menu was $25 for a pizza & 2 beverages. Upon recommendation of our delightful server Kobe, we opted for the Hot Mess: ezzo cupping pepperoni, piri-piri sauce, fresnos, queso fresco. Pizza is Detroit style & the edges were perfection, I could have used a bit more sauce but the piri-piri drizzle was fire. We both had a glass of wine. We were in the mood for a nightcap. I selected a coffee stout, Jolly Woodsman by Banded Brewing. Our server asked if I wanted a taste before ordering a glass, I was happy that I took him up on the offer - it wasn't my favorite. I was laughing with him that hubby & I are beer weirdos - we like the lightest & the darkest beers. He offered to bring me a taste of the Night Shift Brewing's Imperial stout, Dynasty. And along with that, he also brought the two lightest Night Shift Brewing beers. We loved all three of them! I would definitely go back for the pizza & the beer but the games are calling my name!
