    Clam pizza and meatball pizza
    Megan H.

I've been waiting to try Anna's Vesuviano for a while now, and just got the chance to this weekend! We got the clam pizza and the meatball pizza. I had never had clam on pizza before, but I thought the flavors worked quite well together. The meatball pizza was also delicious and was a bit more classic than the clam. It was fairly filling for the two of us. It was pricier for pizza, but I would go in person next time to check out the ambiance and other flavors.

located where piemonte used to be (which i am still mourning), this innovative pizza spot opened with traditional italian food using traditional middle eastern ingredients sourced from Ramallah by way of Paterson, NJ. i tasted that palestinian olive oil in the food for sure. the story is the chef is an archaeological professional who honors his italian grandmother "Anna" and the historical origins of flatbread coming from the middle east. i love history, cultural integrity of food, and good food so this was an easy try. it's $20-25 for a pie that is 12 inches but it makes sense with these quality ingredients. we got the summer pie which didn't have tomato sauce and i appreciated that because of my heartburn issues. we also split a caesar salad, suppli, and lemon posset. loved the salad could eat 5 of them on repeat. the suppli reminded me of arancini and i enjoyed the whipped ricotta. pizza was filling for me after two slices with all the other tries. the lemon posset had sumac, basil leaves, and olive oil toppings. my unsolicited opinion on this fusion is to sub out the basil leaves for mint leaves, the olive oil for pomegranate molasses, and then less sumac. it was really hot and they had a big fan blowing but it was still hot inside. i also need backed stools for the seating because they're a bit uncountable, and stronger napkins. it would complete the aesthetic in my unsolicited opinion. fab food will eat again.

The best pizza I've had since being in Naples. Chewy delicious crust and remarkable toppings. The "summer pie" was amazing. I was also astonished to discover their desserts-- a completely unexpected delight. I loved the semolina cake with blood orange slices baked into the top, a limoncello custard inside a lemon rind, and a sublime fig tart! Although we ordered take-out, the place itself was filled with folks creating a lovely vibe. Don't miss eating here.

The worst thing about Anna's Vesuviano pizza, is when you're on the last slice. :(

Service: There was only one person working there and handling everything when we were there. He did a good job handling everything. Ambiance: It's a cute small spot. A couple of tables to sit down at but it's set up more for a takeout. There's some cool middle eastern decor in there as well. Overall, we would go back again.

I mainly came for the sweets, was able to get a tray of pistachio and walnut baklava, but they had a few other sweets like lady fingers and purses as well. Baklava was very good, very nice crispiness that held up for the week. I would've preferred it to have a bit more nuts and be a bit sweeter, but personal preference. Got the cheese fatayer which is just basically a cheesy bread with some herbs. So tasty, really enjoyed that! Also got a lamb kabob which came with some bread as well. The flavor here was good but didn't blow me away. Touch on the dry side too. Probably would get something else next time. They've also got coffee. I elected to get the Turkish coffee. It was thick and came in a pretty small cup, about a 3rd of that is the grounds. Fun to try, but very bitter, wouldn't recommend this either. Overall, really cool shop that seems very popular. Lots of interesting menu items to try. Definitely suggest checking it out!

They have great decks on two floors, and multiple large screen TV's - very cool friendly vibe - this place is great. The co-managers Jack and Adam are outstanding, know their stuff, and lead a great team. The servers are all friendly and attentive. Once a week the restaurant throws a midweek Cigar Dinner that is the best deal in town - two premium cigars and a high-end 3-course dinner for just $50 bucks! Sometimes they charge a little more if the cigars are super crazy premium, but believe me it is a great deal, and they deserve the cigar community's full support! ***VIP*** IMO We need to keep places like this alive and successful - unlike difficult and puritanical Massachusetts, where cigar bars are discouraged - this place is outstanding. Jack and Adam do a great job running the place - a great location. FYI - Jack ran Cigar Masters on Exchange Street in Providence and is a true professional and it shows - he relocated and merged with Tel Aviv and I think it was a mix made in heaven - a little more casual - a better location, great decks on the water in a roomier place! I brought my wife's uncle here for his 70th b day a couple months ago on a Saturday night, and he absolutely loved it! He loved the hockey game, but wanted to leave early so he could come back for another scotch and a stogie!

The prices seem reasonable and they offer daily specials and coupon deals. I stopped by Papa Pasquale's in Pawtucket for takeout recently. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Meal ($12.69 plus tax) with no tahini sauce, sub for garlic sauce and the Chicken Parmesan with Ziti ($12.69 plus tax) and got a free Baklava with the $25+ purchase. The Beef Shawarma was ready first, but the Chicken Parmesan with Ziti was being made and baked in the oven. The complete order was ready within 20 minutes. I enjoyed some of the Beef Shawarma with very crispy fries while I waited for the Chicken Parm with baked garlic bread to be ready. The shawarma wrap (cut in 4s) had plenty tender, slightly chewy slices of beef, garlic sauce and pickled veggies in a toasty wrap. The golden fries were very crispy and I was also given more garlic sauce to dip the fries in. The Chicken Parmesan was baked in a foil container with soft cooked ziti, red sauce, tender pieces of breaded chicken, topped with melted mozzarella cheese. The baked garlic bread (sub roll slices) was buttered and firm. The baklava triangle was also a good very sweet dessert. The beef shawarma wrap & fries and chicken parmesan were pretty good and fairly priced. I will have to try the chicken kebab meal and an eggplant pizza next time I stop back in.

The venue is reasonably large, the seats are comfortable, the service has been very good (and it was excellent today), and they have a large humidor for anyone arriving empty-handed. I've worked through a handful of menu items and found the lamb lollipops are particularly good (order them medium). That said, this isn't a place I'd choose strictly for dinner unless the ambiance of lingering cigar smoke is part of the draw (pun intended). In warmer months, the large outdoor deck along the water is a really nice spot. So if you're into cigars or hookah and live in the area, this might be your place too. Given how rare cigar-friendly venues have become, I'm bumping this up to a five-star rating. Tip: Beware of the sidewalks on this street.
