Dr. Choi and all of his staff have made sure I was taken care of even after hours, remained involved through multiple hospitalizations, and consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that I received the care and attention I needed. What distinguishes Dr. Choi from most physicians however, is the way he advocates for his patients. There have been times when I was physically, emotionally, or otherwise unable to advocate for myself, and he stepped into that role without hesitation. What makes this even more frustrating is that this office does not work with any insurance, so you are required to pay a very high fee upfront. For the amount being charged, I expected much better communication and follow-through. This lack of organization and responsiveness is unacceptable, especially when it comes to important health matters. A good doctor alone is not enough when the office staff fails to support patients properly. I hope they improve their processes, because patients should not have to chase down essential information after paying so much out of pocket.
