Gujarati thali (top) and Punjabi Thali (bottom)

At Annapurna, you will definitely have an authentic dining experience! The thalis are aesthetically appealing and are sure to make you salivate! They are a great sampler of multiple curries, biryani, breads (naan, roti, pappadum)! The Punjabi thali has more of the well known Indian dishes like paneer makhani, dal, veggie biryani, and raita with a giant piece of buttered naan. The Gujarati thali is served with 3 different rotis, gulab jamun, raita, curries, and khaman. If you're making your way to Annapurna, I also recommend their chaat!! Their street food menu is quite extensive. Some I recommend are the pani puri (crisp puffs with chutney and veggies), sev puri (flat crackers with chutney and veggies topped with sev, like crunchy noodles), or masala dosa (crispy savory crepe with potatoes and onion)! This is a family run restaurant and they are soooo friendly! Very casual ambiance!

The Greater Cleveland area certainly has its fair share of Indian food and Annapurna is a standout! While it's exterior and interior are unassuming, Annapurna's eclectic and rich variety of food is truly astounding. For a group of five, we ordered the Punjabi Thali x2, the Paneer Dosa, and the Vegetable Biryani, which we found to be the perfect amount of food. The Paneer Dosa was a wonderful way to start off the meal. Despite its light, airy texture, it still packs a strong amount of flavor. The Vegetable Biryani was especially appetizing and a personal favorite! Finally, the Punjabi Thali is the perfect platter to bring together your group of friends and family. Acting almost like an array of samples, the Punjabi Thali will give everyone the flavor(s) they're looking for. Throw in some naan, rice, and a samosa, and you have an excellent meal to share with your loved ones!

For your first time here, I'd recommend going for a thali! Big sampler plate with several different curries comprising a diverse mix of flavor profiles, plenty of naan for dipping and a small dessert - an ideal option for someone like me looking to explore more of Indian cuisine but easily overwhelmed by big menus just to try a little of everything One of the staff members explained that each of their two thalis represents a different region in India - both the Punjabi and Gujarati were delicious but Punjabi is definitely a safer choice since the latter has some *seriously spicy* options that can be out of comfort range for those with a lower tolerance or not accustomed to authentic Indian levels of heat. Spiciness aside, both are certainly worth trying since the Gujarati includes some unique options, particularly a tangy cauliflower curry that I really enjoyed. Though we got both to try, portions are large enough that one thali is definitely enough to share between two. Only wish the menu came w a more detailed listing of each thali dish included for future reference on ones to order individually bc I wouldn't even be able to tell you what my fave ones were called. All I can say is Annapurna is a must-try, absolutely worth venturing down to Parma for fans of authentic vegetarian Indian food!

Don't be turned off by it's strip mall location or minimal decor. This place is a true gem where you'll find authentic Indian cuisine spanning multiple regions. We wanted to check this place out after reading Douglas Trattner's "The Best Things We Ate in Cleveland 2021" in CLE Scene. Their menu is huge, I couldn't believe how long I scrolled for! It was hard to choose what we should order for the first time. They have a wide street food selection, including chaat. We got the samosa chaat which was a large serving, and every bite was flavorful. Panipuri is a favorite of mine, and not many places have it. It's fried, stuffed dough balls into which you pour in spicy, tangy water. It's fun, a mix of textures, and a burst of flavor! The Thalis are great if you want to sample the menu. My partner and I were ambitious and ordered both - we ended up with leftovers. There are no descriptions for the thalis on the menu, but I can suspect the exact dishes in each change regularly. We didn't ask what was in our thalis - it was fun to taste each one blindly and appreciate the flavors to reach a guess. I've listed what I was able to identify from their menu. Our Punjabi Thali contained: - samosa - paneer tikka masala - malai kofta - yellow daal tadka - vegetable biryani - naan - papadam - basundi Our Gujarati Thali contained: - sev puri - bhindi masala - Tindora Shaak - Kala Chana - roti - papadam - jalebi It is also has a small attached Indian food market in the back. We are going to have to make multiple trips to try all of the delicious dishes.

Poor quality of service. Ambience was mid. Trash on the floor. Jug of water looked contaminated. Misleading advertisement and marketing on website. Initially said the dosa deal is not on Friday but their website says otherwise. So when showed their website, they agreed to give this deal. The waiter said Buy One Get One Dosa but still charged almost for 2 dosas. 1 masala dosa is for $7.99 so we ordered 4 dosas. They charged pre-tax 25.99 for 4 which means $ 6.49/dosa. Totally dissatisfied. Taste wasn't worth it. Paradise/Honest in my neighborhood is better

A friend brought me here. I really liked the food, great menu and choices. This is a type of Indian food I hadn't tried before. There are so many options.

This was a good eat; I ordered for takeout but I went in to order, went up to the counter; and my food got made very quickly. The menu was online, no paper menus. I don't remember seeing any meat options, I think the whole menu was vegetarian. I tried the pav bhaji and paneer tikka masala, samosa and pakora. My favorite by far was the vegetable pakora, they were delicious. They gave the chutneys with the mint chutney on top but both in the same container which I didn't realize until I was halfway done, but I thought that was smart! The food was relatively spicy but some of my family who can't tolerate spice well, thought it was fine. I asked for medium/mild. The paneer tikka was good, creamy sauce, and about what you'd expect. I really like the pav bhaji, it was perfectly spicy and different from the super creamy dishes. I would definitely recommend if you are wanting some Indian food to hit the spot!

As a transplant from the Portland, OR who has enjoyed the cuisine of India for decades I can say with confidence that Annapurna serves some of the most authentic Punjab and South Indian dishes I have enjoyed in North America. The restaurant staff is welcoming and the service is distinctly Indian which is to say that with a diverse menu offering of elaborate plates so you'll have to be patient as preparation takes more time than typical American restaurants. Expect to wait 20-30mins, enjoy a beer or stroll through the attached Annapurna grocery. For anyone new to Annapurna or Indian cuisine I strongly recommend ordering a Special Thali, they are a formal dinner that provide a variety of dishes in smaller portions so you can sample the range of menu options. You won't be disappointed.

I went here because I had a coupon. Overall the food is very good but I didn't get one of the items I ordered. My favorite dish i didn't get to try, but I sampled the other food we bought and it was a very tasty. The one dish was a little spicy I was told, but I didn't think it was.

In the midst of doing errands I found this place on accident. I was excited because it's a nice change of pace from typical Indian restaurants because the menu has sections like "street food," etc. The interior is fairly sparse with a number of places to sit. I ordered the samosa (I think I got two or three), a mango lassi and gulab jamon - all for $7.98 during lunch. The samosas were filled with spicy potatoes and peas and was greasy, lukewarm and just average. The mango lassi was good though small. The gulab jamon was normal. Overall, I wish it was better. Maybe other things off their menu are worth trying.

I've never had Indian food before, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect or what to order--but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The ambience of the restaurant is very welcoming and fun, making it a great spot to try something new. For appetizers, we had Lasuni Gobi, which is crispy cauliflower tossed in a garlic chili sauce with bold Indo-Chinese flavors. It was really tasty, though definitely on the spicier side. We also tried the Vegetable Samosa, the crispy pastry with spiced potatoes was really interesting burst of flavor. For our main meal, we went with Chicken Tikka Masala, which was grilled chicken in a creamy tomato sauce with aromatic Indian spices. Paired with Garlic Naan and served with a side of rice, it was absolutely comforting and flavorful. Everything we tried was fantastic, and the staff were welcoming and helpful, especially since it was my first time trying Indian cuisine. Our server was very attentive and helpful with suggestions on what to order. Marsala Monsoon is definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're curious about Indian food or just want a fun, flavorful meal!

We wanted to try the Velvet Broccoli, another vegetarian dish, but alas it somehow came contaminated with chicken. Thankfully, the staff rectified the situation and we got a second order of the incredible Lasuni Gobi instead. I had a new-to-me curry, the Lababdar paneer, which was utterly delicious and perfectly spiced. We shared the bread basket and bestie had a mild veggie curry. We were treated to the Gulab jamun for dessert on the house. Love the romantic decor, awesome grub and friendly helpful service. We will be back!

We are big fans, and owners of the Royal Enfield brand of motorcycle, which had a large display at the show, and was really the main reason why we drove to the show from Pittsburgh. After the show, we wanted to get something to eat, and I suggested Indian, so we did a Yelp search and the second listing to come up was called "Chennai Delicacy" . . . and believe it or not, the city of Chennai, in India, just so happens to be where the Royal Enfield motorcycles are produced, and where our bikes were made (Crazy coincidence huh?). So we felt like it was almost our destiny to eat here. I called them on the phone just to make sure they were open, and the owner told me, that they were not really a full-service restaurant, but they had some tables and we could eat there if we wanted. He also said . . . "We are not a fancy place, but the food is really good," and that is exactly what we found . . . a small take-out counter, that had food packaged to go, not very fancy, but the food was really good (it was heated up in plastic containers and served with plastic utensils and disposable plates). The owner was so nice when we arrived, he told us about how he makes everything homemade, and that everything is very healthy. He explained the dishes on the menu. My friends went with chicken dishes (Masala and Butter) and I wanted to try something a little bit different, so I asked about the "Moong Kootu," which happened to be a vegan dish, made from Lentils (Dal), and it was really good, a bit on the spicy side, but not super spicy. We also shared an order of bread (Methi flavored), and everyone liked their food. We talked to the owner, and he told us a little bit about his restaurant, how he does a lot of catering to hospitals and other businesses, and also where he was from in India, and I spoke a little bit to him in Hindi also (I am currently learning it). The food was delicious, I am giving four stars, because I am a big fan of the food, and I enjoyed talking to the owner. Cheers!

My friend and I were the only ones in the big restaurant upon arrival. I noticed about 2 different people during the night come in to pick up their to-go order. AMBIANCE -- Cultural music plays in the background. I love all the colourful photos on the wall and the unique light fixtures. FOOD -- I ordered the Mixed Grill ($24.99) - 1 Kafta (beef), 1 Tawook (chicken), and 1 Kabob (lamb) which was served over white rice with 1 tomato, 1 green pepper, and 1 big onion. I don't like onions so I set that aside. The Mixed Grill was a good meal for dinner. It comes in a large plate so it definitely was too much food for me. I gladly took a to-go box home with my leftovers. All the meats were cooked well and tasted good. The lamb was my favourite. The rice served appeared to be a rice pilaf. The complimentary lamb soup was served lukewarm (almost cold) and I didn't like the taste. It's an acquired taste for sure. My friend and I commented that maybe if the lamb soup was warmer that it would have tasted better. I also ordered the Maloog bread as a side dish which is similar to Indian naan bread. The Maloog bread would have tasted better with some butter on it. I asked for butter but the server said she didn't have any. SERVICE -- Complimentary lamb soup was offered and complimentary tea is provided which is nice. The tea is up at the front counter so you serve yourself the tea. The service was good but could be better. The young woman from Afghanistan greeted us at the table with a toothpick in her mouth which was kind of funny but still slightly unprofessional. She laughed and apologized but I said it was fine. I asked for a glass or cup of water and they don't offer that service which was odd. I had to buy a bottled water for $1. Buying the water didn't bother me as it was just $1 but I'm used to most restaurants just offering water on the house. The young hostesses did check on my table a few times which was good. I can see myself ordering food from Dar Alyemen again but I'll get takeout instead of dining in. The neighbourhood where this restaurant is located is a bit secluded. I do love that this is an ethic restaurant that showcases an immigrant business. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 85/250 total reviews in 2026 - 926 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 May 2026
