After hearing about Omelet House for literally years while living in Las Vegas for over 20 years, I was genuinely excited when we pulled in for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was such a complete disappointment that I felt compelled to write this review. I ordered eggs over medium. They arrived with raw, runny, uncooked egg whites. Not once. Not twice. Three separate times. After the third attempt, I gave up. If a restaurant that specializes in breakfast can't properly cook eggs after three tries, that's a serious problem. To their credit, they comped my breakfast. However, what happened next was far more disappointing than the food itself. The owner came over while we were checking out. Rather than addressing me -- the person who actually had the issue -- he spoke exclusively to my dining companion and never once looked at me, acknowledged me, apologized to me, or treated me as though I even existed. I've honestly never experienced anything quite so rude or dismissive in a restaurant. I mentioned that I had previously owned two restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen. His response? He said he had looked at the first two plates of eggs himself, but never once acknowledged whether they were prepared correctly or incorrectly. No accountability. No explanation. No apology. Just indifference and disrespect. I have to be honest: the way I was completely ignored while he spoke only to the man I was dining with left me with the personal impression that my opinion simply didn't matter to him. Whether intentional or not, that was exactly how it felt, and it made an already disappointing experience even worse. I've worked in hospitality. I understand that food can occasionally come out wrong. What I don't understand is treating a customer with such blatant disregard and disrespect, especially when they're giving you the opportunity to make things right. After waiting years to finally try Omelet House, I can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in Las Vegas. Bad eggs can be fixed. Bad service can sometimes be forgiven. But being treated as though you are invisible by the owner of the establishment is something I won't forget. I will not be returning, and I certainly won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone. After reading the response from Fred's wife Kelly here's my response to her because I have no way to comment to her response: Kelly, Thank you for taking the time to respond and for explaining Fred's visual impairment. I was completely unaware that he is legally blind, and had I known that at the time, I certainly would not have interpreted his lack of eye contact as intentional. I sincerely regret any hurt caused by my misunderstanding of that aspect of the interaction. That said, my review reflected my genuine experience as a customer. After receiving eggs with uncooked whites three separate times, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. While you did apologize and attempt to rectify the situation, I still felt that my concerns were not fully addressed, and that was the experience I shared. I have owned restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen in any business. My disappointment stemmed not only from the food issues, but from how the overall experience felt from my perspective as a guest who had looked forward to visiting Omelet House for many years. Stopped in for brunch and left full. The portions are huge, and the service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. The atmosphere is more of an old-school diner--nothing fancy, just a solid place to grab a hearty meal. One thing that makes them a little different is that they serve spuds instead of hash browns or breakfast potatoes. They're round, sliced potatoes that are soft on the inside, lightly fried, and seasoned really well. They also have a ton of different omelets to choose from. Dropped by on a Friday morning (~10am) and it was so lively! We were sat immediately and handed a menu. Our drinks came shortly after. I really wanted to love this pace, it was pretty good. What disappointed me was my husband's shrimp boat. I took a picture of it with the shrimp oozing out the one end. He doused it with hot sauce as usual then asked me if I wanted a bite. Sure, but I had to go to the other end of the omelette to avoid the hot sauce he added. Well, I wanted some shrimp. So I'm digging and looking and finally decided that they put all the shrimp in one spot where you can see them but after that there's no more. I had a healthy omelette and it was really good with vegetables all the way through. Both omelettes had plenty of cheese. I got sour dough toast and husband had the pumpkin bread. We got these big potato chip looking potatoes. These were nice and crispy but a bit greasy. Did I mention that the omelettes are huge? The place could use a deep cleaning. Was visiting and a family member suggested this place. We were in N Vegas and were skeptical because of the drive but man Oh man am I glad we made the trip! The food was soooo tasty and the portions were HUGE! We had 6 adults and were comfortably sat in a booth. For all of the food you get, it's ridiculously affordable! If you stop in, make sure to get the pumpkin nut bread, it's a real show stopper!!!! Not pictured were the fried zucchini and firecracker burger and fries which were also really great/tasty choices!! There's absolutely something for everyone, the menu is pretty big with a lot of options. They do close at 3p so keep that in mind!! Our server seemed a bit aggro and short with us but it could just be my perspective, I'm not from NV, but everything else was on point. First time here! I was in the mood for breakfast and my husband said that the biscuits and gravy were good. We were seated faster than expected and the restaurant was extremely busy. It's definitely good for families I had the biscuit and gravy which were served with eggs, spuds and bacon or sausage. I didn't know that the eggs were cooked and butter so they were a little rich for me but the biscuits and gravy were amazing. I believe that the biscuits were made on site and the gravy is homemade. We've always loved the original one of this place but this one is just as wonderful. Staff and service are always super friendly and on top of it. The environment is homey and comfortable and way less busy than the other location. The food is, as usual, amazing. The polish sausage are sooo good and their potatoes are some of my favorite style potatoes anywhere. They're crispy but soft and well seasoned. This is near by where my husband used to work. We were here for my husband Omlette challenge(12 eggs in it and pie or bread of your choice he got banana bread). You get 1 hour to finish the meal. I ordered Lobster Omlette Benedict w/banana bread on the side. It was very filling. It is more of casual local breakfast restaurant. Btw hubby did very well but gave up after 18 minutes remaining. FYI. it is $40 for the meal either you finish it or not. You do get free t-shirt and your pic on the wall. Waitresses were both nice and gave me new hot sauce when she realized bottle was almost empty. I liked that I didn't have to wave down to catch waitress. Small decoration is nice but carpets were a little old w/stains on the spots. I gave 3 stars because of the pricy menus. I understand it was an huge Omlette but $40 is too much. Very classic menu and although amount of food was generous, taste wise it did not standout for me to be returning. First time here when I visited Vegas in December for Christmas. Great place for breakfast. I would definitely go back when I'm in Vegas. Loved everything I ordered. They have the best banana nut bread....it was moist and not too sweet with perfect consistency of nut and texture. Also, I think they have the best zucchini fries I ever had....i tried many fried zucchini and so far, this place have the best. Love how they cut up the zucchini and they have a good batter and it was fried to perfection. The court chicken fried steak with grave and biscuit was massive and tasty. I would order it again. As always, the food is top notch. Healthy portions and fulfilling, as my mom would say "it sticks to your ribs" meaning you won't be hungry again anytime soon. The waitresses are always friendly and provide excellent service. The coffee is constantly being refilled, which I'm in total favor of. Here's the catch: the omelet alone was $16.19, and the large fountain drink was $4.99. All in, my total came to nearly $28 for a pretty simple, healthy meal and a soda. For a casual diner-style restaurant, that feels very steep--especially since the drink wasn't anything special. I get that prices are up everywhere, but the value just didn't quite match the bill. This family owned breakfast spot has been serving the Henderson area for over 45 years. The booths and counter are reminiscent of an old school diner that we've seen over the years and have come to love. I ordered the egg white omelette with mushrooms, spinach and zucchini. However, I didn't realize the omelette came with (6) eggs. This was a welcomed but truly unexpected surprise. They do offer a (3) egg omelette, which, I'll order next time. The menu is huge with so much to choose from from the food is always amazing and the portions are humongous so bring a big appetite. Today I had the stuffed French toast with blueberry filling. Our server was named Kimber (Or something close) She was so on top of it and was kind enough to take our picture. They all worked like a team several people were happy to help us get refills. We walked into and old school style diner (similar to Denny's feel) and was greeted by a friendly greeting. The atmosphere was exactly as expected from reading the Yelp reviews. They were quite busy, but there were many workers that made everything with very smooth. Everyone also seemed to enjoy their work which is rare to see these days. Banana bread which is a MUST came out piping hot with whipped butter which was so fluffy and light. I smothered it over the streaming banana bread. Yummy!! Trying to choose which omelette to get, the corned beef hash selection which was labeled "best you've ever had" caught my eyes and I had to try it. So instead of getting one of the 6 egg omelette which was my original plan, I opted for the hash. The corned beef was part was quite good. Good quality brisket, cured just right, and cooked so the meat just falls apart. The potatoes were not as good and did not brown well. There were small areas where the corned beef and the potatoes came together to get the browned and crisped look and texture, but the majority of the has didn't. I also didn't find any fried onions which I was expecting. This definitely was NOT the best I've ever had... But definitely better than average. Good corned beef hash is not easy to find, unfortunately. I had my 2 eggs cooked over medium and it was cooked well... But it was closer to being cooked over easy like most restaurants do. A perfectly cooked over medium eggs are also very rare and impossible to find. We also had the French Toast Special with 4 bacon and 2 eggs over medium. It was good but not very noteworthy. I believe she was totally awesome. Her hair was all put back nice and neat like it's supposed to be in a restaurant. I used to manage a restaurant in California red lobster and Denny's and all my girls had their hair up nice and neat that was mandatory and that's how it should be in a restaurant. She has her hair all hanging in her face hair can drop in our food. Anything that's not OK. Your food was absolutely amazing and so was Kelly but they really need to have that girl put her hair up. That's not OK. I don't care if it is her signature hairstyle you do that when you're off the clock and not preparing people's food I will never come back to this restaurant because of that the owner really needs to do something have her follow the guidelines of a restaurant. I'm sure she has a health food card and it says when you're taking the test you have to have your hair pulled up out of your face and she does not pull it up out of her face.
