We went with a small group of 6 earlier for breakfast. Overall had a good experience and enjoyed the food and quirky ambience that is Omelet House (been a patron to all of their locations over the years). It was busy (weekend) and had a short wait (about 15 minutes). I opted for the #3 Bacon ang Eggs (4 pieces), choose side of spuds and sourdough toast. The scrambled eggs were very good I like to add Tabasco sauce, the bacon was cooked very well and tasty. I learned previously from some veteran patrons of Omelet House you need to get those spuds ordered *extra crispy* (and a side of cheese sauce if you're in the mood). I never got my sourdough toast however. My wife opted for the huevos rancheros which is her go-to favorite, and was not disappointed at all. Very delicious. The rest in our group had a great time and enjoyed their food as well. We did have a little trouble getting refills (maybe it was break time) but overall we had a good experience. read more

After hearing about Omelet House for literally years while living in Las Vegas for over 20 years, I was genuinely excited when we pulled in for breakfast. Unfortunately, the experience was such a complete disappointment that I felt compelled to write this review. I ordered eggs over medium. They arrived with raw, runny, uncooked egg whites. Not once. Not twice. Three separate times. After the third attempt, I gave up. If a restaurant that specializes in breakfast can't properly cook eggs after three tries, that's a serious problem. To their credit, they comped my breakfast. However, what happened next was far more disappointing than the food itself. The owner came over while we were checking out. Rather than addressing me -- the person who actually had the issue -- he spoke exclusively to my dining companion and never once looked at me, acknowledged me, apologized to me, or treated me as though I even existed. I've honestly never experienced anything quite so rude or dismissive in a restaurant. I mentioned that I had previously owned two restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen. His response? He said he had looked at the first two plates of eggs himself, but never once acknowledged whether they were prepared correctly or incorrectly. No accountability. No explanation. No apology. Just indifference and disrespect. I have to be honest: the way I was completely ignored while he spoke only to the man I was dining with left me with the personal impression that my opinion simply didn't matter to him. Whether intentional or not, that was exactly how it felt, and it made an already disappointing experience even worse. I've worked in hospitality. I understand that food can occasionally come out wrong. What I don't understand is treating a customer with such blatant disregard and disrespect, especially when they're giving you the opportunity to make things right. After waiting years to finally try Omelet House, I can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in Las Vegas. Bad eggs can be fixed. Bad service can sometimes be forgiven. But being treated as though you are invisible by the owner of the establishment is something I won't forget. I will not be returning, and I certainly won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone. After reading the response from Fred's wife Kelly here's my response to her because I have no way to comment to her response: Kelly, Thank you for taking the time to respond and for explaining Fred's visual impairment. I was completely unaware that he is legally blind, and had I known that at the time, I certainly would not have interpreted his lack of eye contact as intentional. I sincerely regret any hurt caused by my misunderstanding of that aspect of the interaction. That said, my review reflected my genuine experience as a customer. After receiving eggs with uncooked whites three separate times, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. While you did apologize and attempt to rectify the situation, I still felt that my concerns were not fully addressed, and that was the experience I shared. I have owned restaurants myself and understand that mistakes happen in any business. My disappointment stemmed not only from the food issues, but from how the overall experience felt from my perspective as a guest who had looked forward to visiting Omelet House for many years. Dropped by on a Friday morning (~10am) and it was so lively! We were sat immediately and handed a menu. Our drinks came shortly after. I opted for the French Toast special, and my party ordered the waffle special, the flap special, and the country Benedict. We were all satisfied with our choices -- and the price was right! I really wanted to love this pace, it was pretty good. What disappointed me was my husband's shrimp boat. I took a picture of it with the shrimp oozing out the one end. He doused it with hot sauce as usual then asked me if I wanted a bite. Sure, but I had to go to the other end of the omelette to avoid the hot sauce he added. Well, I wanted some shrimp. So I'm digging and looking and finally decided that they put all the shrimp in one spot where you can see them but after that there's no more. I had a healthy omelette and it was really good with vegetables all the way through. Both omelettes had plenty of cheese. I got sour dough toast and husband had the pumpkin bread. We got these big potato chip looking potatoes. These were nice and crispy but a bit greasy. Did I mention that the omelettes are huge? The place could use a deep cleaning. Was visiting and a family member suggested this place. We were in N Vegas and were skeptical because of the drive but man Oh man am I glad we made the trip! The food was soooo tasty and the portions were HUGE! We had 6 adults and were comfortably sat in a booth. For all of the food you get, it's ridiculously affordable! If you stop in, make sure to get the pumpkin nut bread, it's a real show stopper!!!! Not pictured were the fried zucchini and firecracker burger and fries which were also really great/tasty choices!! There's absolutely something for everyone, the menu is pretty big with a lot of options. They do close at 3p so keep that in mind!! Stopped in for brunch and left full. The portions are huge, and the service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. The atmosphere is more of an old-school diner--nothing fancy, just a solid place to grab a hearty meal. One thing that makes them a little different is that they serve spuds instead of hash browns or breakfast potatoes. It's definitely good for families I had the biscuit and gravy which were served with eggs, spuds and bacon or sausage. I didn't know that the eggs were cooked and butter so they were a little rich for me but the biscuits and gravy were amazing. I believe that the biscuits were made on site and the gravy is homemade. We've always loved the original one of this place but this one is just as wonderful. Staff and service are always super friendly and on top of it. The environment is homey and comfortable and way less busy than the other location. The food is, as usual, amazing. The polish sausage are sooo good and their potatoes are some of my favorite style potatoes anywhere. They're crispy but soft and well seasoned. First time here when I visited Vegas in December for Christmas. Great place for breakfast. I would definitely go back when I'm in Vegas. Loved everything I ordered. They have the best banana nut bread....it was moist and not too sweet with perfect consistency of nut and texture. Also, I think they have the best zucchini fries I ever had....i tried many fried zucchini and so far, this place have the best. Love how they cut up the zucchini and they have a good batter and it was fried to perfection. The court chicken fried steak with grave and biscuit was massive and tasty. I would order it again. This is near by where my husband used to work. We were here for my husband Omlette challenge(12 eggs in it and pie or bread of your choice he got banana bread). You get 1 hour to finish the meal. I ordered Lobster Omlette Benedict w/banana bread on the side. It was very filling. It is more of casual local breakfast restaurant. Btw hubby did very well but gave up after 18 minutes remaining. FYI. it is $40 for the meal either you finish it or not. You do get free t-shirt and your pic on the wall. Waitresses were both nice and gave me new hot sauce when she realized bottle was almost empty. I liked that I didn't have to wave down to catch waitress. Small decoration is nice but carpets were a little old w/stains on the spots. I gave 3 stars because of the pricy menus. I understand it was an huge Omlette but $40 is too much. Very classic menu and although amount of food was generous, taste wise it did not standout for me to be returning. As always, the food is top notch. Healthy portions and fulfilling, as my mom would say "it sticks to your ribs" meaning you won't be hungry again anytime soon. The booths and counter are reminiscent of an old school diner that we've seen over the years and have come to love. I ordered the egg white omelette with mushrooms, spinach and zucchini. However, I didn't realize the omelette came with (6) eggs. This was a welcomed but truly unexpected surprise. They do offer a (3) egg omelette, which, I'll order next time. We walked into and old school style diner (similar to Denny's feel) and was greeted by a friendly greeting. The atmosphere was exactly as expected from reading the Yelp reviews. They were quite busy, but there were many workers that made everything with very smooth. Everyone also seemed to enjoy their work which is rare to see these days. Banana bread which is a MUST came out piping hot with whipped butter which was so fluffy and light. I smothered it over the streaming banana bread. Yummy!! Trying to choose which omelette to get, the corned beef hash selection which was labeled "best you've ever had" caught my eyes and I had to try it. So instead of getting one of the 6 egg omelette which was my original plan, I opted for the hash. The corned beef was part was quite good. Good quality brisket, cured just right, and cooked so the meat just falls apart. The potatoes were not as good and did not brown well. There were small areas where the corned beef and the potatoes came together to get the browned and crisped look and texture, but the majority of the has didn't. I also didn't find any fried onions which I was expecting. This definitely was NOT the best I've ever had... But definitely better than average. Good corned beef hash is not easy to find, unfortunately. I had my 2 eggs cooked over medium and it was cooked well... But it was closer to being cooked over easy like most restaurants do. A perfectly cooked over medium eggs are also very rare and impossible to find. We also had the French Toast Special with 4 bacon and 2 eggs over medium. It was good but not very noteworthy. They give you a huge slice of banana or pumpkin bread (more like a cake!), depending on the season, and let me just say, that piece and a cup or 2 of coffee was enough for breakfast! Our lovely server said the regulars know to just order their main entrees to go because they are full with the complimentary bread!
