While in Plymouth Massachusetts in May 2025, Tony, Noel Calliope & myself stopped at Woody Seside Restaurant on the Wharf in Plymouth Massachusetts. Tony and I shared a Seafood Platter & Noel had the Lobster Dinner. Tony also got a bowl of New Egland Clam Chowder. The baby had some Haddock & Fries! It was a good meal. We also got a half dozen of the fresh claws but they were to much of a salt water taste... I would eat here again! Recommend!!

Really enjoyed our meal here! We stopped in for lunch after checking out the historic spots around Plymouth and were so glad we did. Service was friendly and efficient, and the prices for what you're getting are honestly incredible. I wish we lived in New England just so we could eat lobster like this all the time! We ordered the 2 lobster dinner, a bowl of chowder, a bowl of lobster bisque, and a dozen steamed clams - paid about $70 total. So worth it. Easily one of our favorite lunches on our trip through New England. If you are forced to choose between the chowder and bisque I'm voting chowder all day. The vibe inside feels like you've walked into a local fisherman's hangout like the seafood was just caught that morning and brought straight into the kitchen. It's nautical without being kitschy, with maps on all the tables and a cozy, unfussy atmosphere. A solid, authentic New England seafood spot.

    Fish and Chips for $12.99

Fish and Chips for $12.99? Yes and it's even better than it looks, nice tight batter, cooked perfectly and just excellent fish. You couldn't ask for anything really any better for $12.99 in Plymouth.

Wood's is the best! This week alone, we've picked up 5 pounds of steamers on Monday night and we grabbed a few points of shrimp and scallops on Thursday. The quality is outstanding; the seafood pretty much comes off the boat and into the fish market here. If you love good seafood, this is the place to shop!

Four stars seems spot on. Solid service and fair prices. Sometimes the wait can take a while but only because this place is so popular.

Woods seafood is a small restaurant attached to a fish market. Everything was fresh that day. Being from California we've never had a true "Lobsta roll" so we took the opportunity to get one here for $26. In Boston they wanted $40 for the samething. The bun was fresh and the meet was fresh and hanging over the sides. The fries were perfectly cooked as I like them crunchy. This place was recommended to us by a local who works at the Mayflower exhibit. This is NOT a fancy place but if you're looking for something fresh, this is your place.

    Littlenecks

He wanted raw Littlenecks. Honestly we went to cabbyshack first but the prices were u real- $15 for 6 Littlenecks and $9 for chowder. So we wandered over to Woods. This is a fish market/ restaurant. No frills- and I mean zero frills. But the prices were great and the food was good. Order at the window and wait for your number. For $41 we got a beer, a soda, 12 Littlenecks, an order of fried fish and an order of onion rings. We shared the fish and couldn't finish half the onion rings (home made). Fish had a nice coating and was cooked perfectly. Nice views of the harbor from inside.

Located on the waterfront. Order first then have a seat. They'll call your number when your order is up. It is a no nonsense, clean place to grab some seafood. We opted for the fried scallops and cold lobster roll. Both were great. The scallops and lobster were tender and of great portions. A great spot to grab food near the whale watching and deep sea fishing tours.

Woods Seafood is a fish market/restaurant located on the water in Plymouth. The only parking I could find was metered wharf parking next to the restaurant. Inside its counter service and I ordered a bowl of lobster bisque ($5.50) and the baked scallops with fries and slaw for ($21). The food was ready in about 15 minutes. The lobster bisque was served in a large bowl and was very good tasting and at that price point a steal! I enjoyed it. The baked scallops covered by Parmesan were equally good tasting and also were a generous portion. The slaw and fries were good too. It was a filling meal. The people who work here are friendly. I would be happy to return for a casual seafood meal.

And he's my fish to take home to cook myself

Buyers beware at the seafood counter. The older gentleman took my money to bring up what I was purchasing to take out to go home, not prepared food raw fish, and decided to take my change with the bills and stick it in his chip jar and not give me back my change.. I tried to make light of it and say oh geez tipped yourself very generously didn't you and he got very belligerently rude with us I'm a local I've been going there for 3540 years. I will not be returning to your establishment and I will let the whole town know about it thank you. Have a nice day Not worthy of the one star ..... i've erased all previous positive reviews because of this incident also went and got lunch on the restaurant side place. Our orders have to pick it up ourselves. They expect Tips the place is supposed to come with lemon wedges coleslaw tartar sauce, cocktail sauce we had to ask for every single individual order, and the girl would come out one by one with it horrible horrible, horrible service and experience and I used to always visiting people to go there never again!!!! I thought would be much better off to purchase all my seafood now from a grocery store and tip them, which is unexpected to them and they wouldn't take my money from me Just remember, Tips are optional !!!! It's not about the amount of money it's the principle of it and how he did it was wrong on many different levels and as an elderly gentleman should know better and after I said something on how he tipped himself well when I was leaving, he decided to get very upset, rude agitated, and tried digging out the money to give it back to me, and I did not even want to keep it. It needs it more than I do Like I said it's the principle of it and that's stealing. From your customers.!!!!

Cute clam shack. On the waterfront. Order at the counter then find a table. It's a small place so finding a table can be challenging, especially if you have more than 4 people. While sardines aren't on the menu you may feel like one. Got the fried whole clams and a lobster roll (Maine style). Both very solid. Would go back

Food and service were horrible. They ran out of items and food was cold. I watch them mess up every order that night.

I don't know if I was starving, unhappy or what but this place and meal hit the spot and hit it hard. I thought I deserved a drink so I got a Guinness, which was thankfully on tap so yah! I got the bourbon steak tips with steak fries and opted for a garden salad instead of the green beans - yes, yes, and yes! Steak tips were perfectly flavorful and cooked just right for my taste. I really wanted fries and (unlike some of my family/friends) I actually like steak fries and they were cooked up just the way I like'em (crisp outside, not too mushy on the inside). The salad though, yah it was basic and yet not - all kinds of different colored tomatoes which actually had great flavor to them, and it was not just a couple but quite a few and they were "fresh". That is basically what I loved about the salad - not your typical anemic looking/tasting salad but with mixed greens (not just lame looking iceberg) and full of other veggies. The server also could not have been nicer (like I said I went through a lot that day so seeing a friendly face was nice) and always checking on us. I think we made a great choice in stopping here - it was a 4:30 on a Tuesday and it was busy. Good sign!

Bottom line... it doesn't get much better than Dillon's Local…read more My only gripe is that it's a little small, so if your timing isn't right, you might be waiting for a table -- but honestly, that's part of the charm. It has that cozy hometown pub feel: sports on, music playing, and a great local vibe. The staff treats you like you've been coming in for years, making you feel like a regular right away -- and that's definitely a good thing. Homemade comfort food that hits on every level, a delicious menu from top to bottom, and a drink menu that complements it perfectly. And by the way... the Guinness pours well!

Bartender handled the whole joint on a Saturday lunch. -- Patty Melt: Nice straddling between traditional and innovative. Brisket patty, neither thick nor thin, with a soft grind, cooked showing pink (I asked for medium rare if possible). Bacon-onion-jalapeño jam with some zip and bacon saltiness and bendy texture. Caramelized onions with a hint of sweetness. Partly-melted American cheese. Griddled marble rye with unnoticeable butter. Not perfection, but an enjoyable mix of flavors and textures. -- Fries (with the patty melt): Thin, crunchy shoestrings, aggressively salted, in assorted lengths. -- Quinoa Bowl: Bright flavors, good textures, per my wife. -- Ginger Soda: Made in house, string Ginger flavors, not too much sugar. Very good, though at $7, it's gotta be something you're certain you want. Solid experience. Hard to get a full picture without trying more things, but good enough to try more.
