And she said it's been a slow day so we decided to close the kitchen. That's odd it wasn't a slow day when you didn't answer the phone and then slammed it closed because I presume it annoyed the high school girl. We had asked for the burger to be cooked medium rare and I think it came out more like a medium well. The patty itself was a bit dry. This may be a one off issue and we hope to return to try some other dishes.

Food was ok, but we had ask for silverware then wait a few minutes for it be delivered. Staff was clearly doing closing duty as there were only 2 other tables occupied. Nobody was paying any attention to each other or tables. I had to excuse myself to get the persons attention to pay.they are so immersed in their clip board they had no idea what was going on. I gave a 2 as my husbands food was fine and mine was not. The restaurant closes at 2 during the week and the lack of service was definitely reflecting their expectations of closing an hour earlier than they actually did. We felt bad for the large group next to us as they waited just as long. We didn't think anyone was in charge as there was not a person paying any attention to items other than their closing duty. We felt invisible.

I started out with a 101 Jungle Bird as I'm a rum drinker and liked the idea of a bourbon-forward one instead. I'll say that this was much more fruity than a Jungle Bird and without the bitterness (no Campari). It also didn't taste very strong but it definitely hit me pretty good. Definitely a tasty-but-dangerous one there. For food, I opted for the Country Fried Chicken. What a fantastic choice indeed. The breast was either butterflied or pounded flat but still thick enough to give a good bite. The outside was cooked to absolute perfection with a crunchy texture without being burned or underdone. The inside was tender and juicy. The whole piece was seasoned beautifully and that was even without any of the delicious white gravy. The Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes that accompanied were similarly well done with great flavor. And the cherry on top was that the portion size was PERFECT. Not a ton of carbs and things that left me feeling beyond full or guilty that I had a bunch of leftover food to likely toss. The seat at the bar was a great place to be. A handful of seats staring at nothing but a huge wall of bourbon. To your back are a series of large high tops and, unfortunately for me, on this night were full of a rather loud group. An unintended side effect of the close quarters but I'm sure not a regular thing. The place is otherwise quite cozy and comfortable and in line with the southern cooking motif. My bartender, Mike, was also very friendly and happy to chat a little about my travels and share our regional sports experiences. All in all, absolutely outstanding. Great food, wonderful staff, and an impressive drink selection. I'm looking forward to coming back here again.

We have never eaten inside the Liberty Plaza location, but there is plenty of parking, the restaurant is always clean and easy to get to. Give it a try if you are in the area. The owner apologized and said he would be sure to get gluten free soy sauce asap. The staff at Annes Kitchen were so friendly and welcoming! It was like they already knew you and you were just a part of the family! I went for the first time with a friend yesterday 12/30/2014. The portion sizes were huge and they served good quality, and nice looking meals! I had their pancakes - which were to die for with eggs and bacon. The eggs had a great flavor and the bacon was thick and nicely crisp. My friend had one of Anne's Kitchens famous Reuben sandwiches which was offered with your choice of coleslaw or sauerkraut on it! I highly recommencement this restaurant to others. Great atmosphere, great food, great people. And not to mention their costs are pretty low! Check em out! I think the best part about Annes Kitchen is the staff; they're all so friendly and welcoming! The food was great. A friend and I visited the diner for lunch. We only get a 45 min lunch but was able to visit the diner, order our food, eat, and socialize before going back to work. I had a breakfast bowl and my friend had a Reuben Omelet. Pancakes were good but the butter was a bunch of frozen packets of butter. So cold it took a little time before melting on the pancakes. Syrup was ok. Probably enjoyed the pancakes the most. Service was terrific; attentive and checked on me several times. My coffee cup never got empty. Ambiance - since it was mid morning on a weekday, not too busy. Other days I've driven by, it's been a line out the door.

These folks have an extensive menu of Mexican, Tex-Mex and regular diner - breakfast and lunch food. Prices are reasonable and portions are about what you would expect but not overly generous. It still has that 50's Diner look from when it was Dan's but with a small flourish of Mexican decor. Also, Mark introduced me to Esquites which is a dish of corn, seasoning and mayonaise. Sounds like an odd combination but it is delicious! If you see this on a Mexican menu, get it! I'd definitely be up for exploring more here! 5 stars.
