I went there on Sunday night and it was empty and loud. Music was blasting. But it's spacious and clean.

I knew this spot to be mostly Caribbean and Afrikan. It gets crowded after midnight but a comfortable crowded. Drinks weren't to pricey. I drank fruit punch. I wanted to check the place out sober. The bartenders were okay. Not to talkative just made drinks pretty much. I was a bartender so having conversation helps you make tips . I would come again. I mean it's up the road and who wants to always fight for parking downtown. The ox tails were okay. I like the food and atmosphere. I never been inside the smaller bar they have Next door during the week but I know that is the original location. Give it a try. I felt safe and there was no fighting or drama. I seen under 30 men and women and it was fun and not ratchet at all.

Environment was clean, not too crowded and lighting/special effects were perfect. Drinks were good and not overpriced. Cover charge was 5 bucks. I really enjoyed myself and so did my friends. The DJ played a good variety of music. As the night progressed they played more Caribbean and African music. I really enjoyed myself and I would return in the future.

My partner and I came here for a date night, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish!…read more Our waiter, Cam, was a true professional; friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He offered excellent suggestions and recommendations, and every dish we ordered was absolutely delectable. I had the lamb appetizer, cooked medium-well, and it literally melted in my mouth. It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. My partner ordered the short rib appetizer and couldn't stop talking about how it melted like butter. Both dishes were phenomenal! My absolute favorite drink was the Smoke & Mirrors. The bartender did not disappoint, they were generous with the pour, and after two of them, I left feeling happy! If you enjoy a great cocktail, this one is a must-try. The atmosphere was just as amazing as the food. I loved the striking black artwork throughout the restaurant, the hidden DJ booth tucked away in its own little nook, and the incredible mix of '90s and 2000s R&B and hip-hop. I was definitely doing some chair dancing throughout the evening! This restaurant delivered on every level: exceptional service, delicious food, amazing drinks, and an unforgettable vibe. I can't wait to come back for brunch. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

Joined a couple friends for brunch on a Saturday - not my first visit. There's so much to love…read moreabout BLK Swan. It's urban, upscale, grown n sexy but still family friendly and casual on a Saturday afternoon. There's live music or a DJ and I always appreciate that it's not so loud so that you can't hear your table conversation. My friends and I decided to do something a little different and order some different things to share. The country buttermilk biscuits and jam were heavenly, with that pan crisp on the bottom too? Next up was the cheesesteak egg rolls - very flavorful and the sauce was good. We did crispy roasted brussels sprouts with bacon. YUM. We also did the dirty south chicken and grits, which was exciting for me bc I'm allergic to shrimp, and it's almost always shrimp served with grits. Our server was personable and knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us consistently throughout our meal. As mentioned before, it wasn't my first visit and it certainly wont be my last.
