Went into the establishment not expecting much being a soul food lover from the south, but was amazed at the quality and taste. Me and my fiancé order the wings and ribs combo. The ribs were awesome ! The wings were big and crispy! I didn't think 3 wings and2 fibs would be enough to eat, but with the generous sides,(collard greens and red beans and rice) I was plenty full!The staff was very friendly and helpful. I just ate here and the food was awesome. Everything we got was a 10 out of 10. When I first walked in I was put off it is not what I am used to seeing. Can't go wrong with either fried fish sandwiches. They are not huge pieces of fish like you might expect in Beaver County but they are worth trying. Their yams and Mac and cheese are good and you must add a piece of cornbread to your order. read more

Decided to check out Annie Lee's tonight. Great service. Food is amazing. Chicken wings were crispy and juicy. Really great tasting seasoning as well. The ribs are some of the best I have tasted - great smoky flavor, a little crisp on the outside, and the meat was juicy. No need for any BBQ sauce - I did try some and it too was fantastic. Had the red beans and rice - unique and flavorful. Best collard greens ever. You have to have the cornbread! Can't wait to go back. read more

I really enjoyed the southern style cooking found in Ambridge, PA! The chicken wings are WHOLE wings! I got mac and cheese and red beans and rice as my sides. I wish I would have gotten a large mac and cheese as it was sooooooo good! The staff are friendly and helpful! In fact, we were there at closing time and no one hurried us away! Annie Lee's is bommmbbbbb. Tired of burgers and pizza? Try this place. The ribs are cheap and delicious. Chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. I'm pretty sure there's a wormhole somewhere just inside the entrance to Annie Lee's place, because from the moment I waked in, I was instantly transported away down south for some of the most authentic tasting southern cooking and ambience I've found in the Pittsburgh area. Nothing fancy, you order at the steam table and sit at Formica tables--just like home. The food is simple and fresh and delicious. Lightly fried and juicy chicken, collards, spicy red beans, mac and cheese and real deal cornbread. Holy cow..we ordered food ribs, wings, Mac n cheez, fries and corn bread cost was 24.00. My husband and I got home and we have enough food for days. Everything was delicious, food was hot. Very neat and clean inside. We will certainly order food again. Maybe not as much. read more

Last minute decision to dine out but the best decision to visit Annie Lee's Southern Kitchen! The adults enjoyed the 1/2 slab ribs and the greens, beans, rice and Mac & ch - and the corn bread is outstanding! Everything was DELICIOUS!!! We will be back to sample the catfish soon! This place kills it every time. The food tastes amazing and the people are always kind and friendly. It's nice if your in a hurry or if you want to sit down and eat. The prices are fair and the portions are adequate. The only complaint I have is I wish they would open earlier and stay open later, that's only because I really like the food. My wife and I stopped by Annie Lee's today for lunch. As a Texan, I'm often Leery of "southern food" in PA. This place exceeded my expectations! I ordered the chicken and ribs. I was surprised at the size of the fried chicken wings, they were huge! They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with just the right amount of seasoning. The ribs were big as well. They had a wonderful smoked taste and were fall off the bone tender. I recommend sauce on the side because the flavor of the ribs are delicious. For the sides I got red beans and rice and greens. I could tell it the beans and rice weren't some package mix, it was homemade. The flavor left me wanting more. The greens were cooked to perfection. Tender but not mushy with tons of flavor. I was so impressed I called and let them know how they had brightened my day with a taste from back home. I will definitely be back in to this exceptional restaurant.
