The staff is friendly and provided great service. The prices were amazing, for the amount of food and quality. You go up to the front to order "cafeteria" style. I chose the option of a meat, 2 sides, & dessert for $11. For $3 more you can get the buffet option. I selected the fried chicken, chicken & rice, and turnip greens with banana pudding for my dessert. The meals also came with a slice of corn bread. Everything was warm, fresh, and delicious! Wow! Literally all I can say. My first "wow" was skeptical at how long the line was, then quickly it went to a couple of surprised "wows", then once the food came out.. the ultimate "WOW". We ordered fried chicken,, you know the typical Southern Sunday lunch. First the food was delivered prior to the promised delivery, hot and fresh. (Take our Star). The chicken was breaded perfectly with both amount of crunch and seasoning. The meat was tender and juicy. The only complaint I would have was the cornbread was very dry. Annie Pearl's is located in an unassuming strip mall just outside of Dothan, AL. If you don't think you can't find an absolutely fantastic meal in a strip mall, then you're wrong. Annie Pearl's has some of the best food I have eaten anywhere. Period. Amazing fried chicken, fried fish, and lightly breaded shrimp. Cheese grits, fried okra, green beans... the list goes on and on. It is truly "down home cooking" like Granny used to make. It is a buffet, but served cafeteria style, meaning you tell them what you want, and they put it on your plate. Dinner buffet was $11.99 a person, plus a drink,or $15.99 if you want to add the seafood items. Last night it was whole catfish, whitefish fillets, and shrimp. Everything was simply amazing, right down to the tartar sauce. I will absolutely be back, next time we are in town. Wait staff was super friendly and treated us like we were family, not first timers just passing through. They worked to actively build a relationship with us while we were there. You don't see that enough in today's market place. We even got to see baby pictures of our server's little girl. (She is adorable!) Fantastic meal, fantastic service, fantastic experience.
