The beef noodle soup far exceeded any expectations I had! The noodles were cooked perfectly and the beef (which I presumed was brisket) was perfectly marbled and they definitely made sure not to skimp! The broth was the best part, and just packed full of flavor. An absolutely delicious bowl!! Just be sure to go in expecting slower service, and anything above that is a perk. Side note: I overhead a dad (with his young kid) apologize for not bringing enough money with him to pay his bill. He offered to pay the next day, and the owners who were serving him didn't seem to make a scene about it and opted to trust the man. WARNING: RAW AND ROTTEN CHICKEN AND PORK!!!! So the fiancé , me and the 2 kids went here for lunch today. Fiancé and I ordered a plate each. There was raw AND rotten pork in my chow mein. I brought this to the Manager's attention and his concern wasn't that it was raw or rotten. It was whether it was pork or chicken. And he only replaced the entree, my orange chicken. He brought a small plate of orange chicken out and expected me to eat the food that was on the contaminated plate. I sent the contaminated plate away. I started eating the new plate. The first few pieces of chicken were fine, the next one was ROTTEN. I even had the fiancé and kids smell it. They were disgusted. A few more pieces were the same. Annie's Panda Garden was an okay dining experience. My wife and I decided to visit the restaurant because I had a craving for Chinese food. The restaurant sits on Fairground Drive. It's neighboring eateries are Denny's and Little Ceasers Pizza. The parking lot attached to the place is fairly small. If you come at a busy time, you might have to find street parking. As you enter, the interior decor is very dark but traditional. A Chinese offering statue sits on the ground across from the door. The carpets are a dark green color, that can look a little tacky against the white walls and powder blue curtains. The customer service is pretty adequate. Nothing special stands out to me about the customer/patron interaction. Your greeted, seated, given menus, served hot tea and left alone until ordering time. Orders were taken pretty quickly. Some of the dishes ordered included steamed rice (ask for serving for two) , Crab Rangoon (6 pieces) extra crispy, Kung Pao Chicken and Salt & Pepper Prawns. The establishment wasn't too busy, so our meals came quickly. The Crab Rangoon was not to bad. My wife really enjoyed the crispness and flavor. My Salt and Pepper Prawns were a bit soggy. The breading seemed as if it wasn't breaded correctly. The flavor of the Salt and pepper mixed with onions, jalapeño and green onions made up for it. The Kung Pao was great. The only thing was, we asked for no water chestnuts and when the food was delivered, it was covered in water chestnuts. The meal lasted about 20-30 minutes. The check was delivered and we paid. I wouldn't really break my neck to return here again. I think this would be a place where if I was having a craving and no other options. read more

We've seen this restaurant perched up on the hill while driving home on Interstate 80 for years. Several years ago, I bought a certificate from Restaurants.com but we just never got around to using it. Then recently, we were hungry and traffic was bad so we decided to make the stop. I checked on the restaurant.com website and they still offer certificates for this restaurant. After we place our order, I showed the certificate number to the server. She checked with another employee who told here to tell us that they no longer participated in the program. I'll have to contact restaurants.com to get a refund. Steamed Whole Flounder - 4 - Traditional ginger, green onion, soy sauce preparation. Perfect with steamed rice. Prawns in Lobster Sauce - 2 - Flavor was okay but needed more sauce and egg. Chinese Chicken Salad - 3 - I'm a fan of salads made with cold lettuce served on chilled plates. This makes for a nice contrast with the hot battered fried chicken pieces. Hunan Beef - 4 - This was a very good dish but possibly misnamed? I looked it up online and believe this dish was actually Ants Climbing Tree. Hunan Beef usually does not have any kind of noodle in the dish while Ants has cellophane noodles. The food was okay. The service was non-existent other than taking our order and delivering dishes. I also felt that the guy who told our server that they didn't accept the restaurants.com certificate should have come to our table to chat with us rather than put her in a awkward situation. read more

I've been going here for nearly 20 years and this has been my go to spot for Chinese food. The lunch special is a deal for only $7 for some soup, rice and an entree. This restaurant was recently sold and there's been some good and bad differences. Gone are the pink curtains and coat rack and radio from the 90s in the front corner of the restaurant and the place has been cleaned up a bit. There was a couple of changes to the menu and the portion sizes have shrunk a little. We had a waitress today that was a bit rude. We also came here a while ago and they made changes to their lemon chicken and served us something that looked like frozen chicken nuggets covered in lemon sauce. Hopefully they can leave the menu alone and keep everything consistent like it was before. read more

Despite knowing that in the past they would have a ton of mosquitos at the windows near their dining tables, I decided to give them a shot again after all these years.I used Uber eats which made my $35 order a $50 order.It was not worth it.The pork fried rice was as expected, but the orange chicken was maybe 4/7 and the walnut shrimp was 3/7.The walnut shrimp was very liquidy, not thick and thick or creamy like most honey walnut shrimp dishes.It just didn't seem good, and my mom didn't even know it was shrimp lol. This restaurant has been here for years! I've been coming here since I was a kid with my family. The food is really good and they have the best prices in town! I love coming here for their lunch specials. My kids love their lemon chicken and is their all time favorite. I always get the combo plate of broccoli beef and lemon chicken or szechuan chicken. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The only reason why I'm giving them a 4 instead of a five is the ambiance. They finally started replacing their booths and chairs, which is good! I read some reviews and thought that there were a lot of people who do like them so why not try it for ourselves. Well, the food looked really good however, there was just some issues with flavor. We ordered Broccoli Beef that literally tasted like nothing, orange chicken tasted like it was cooked in orange drink powder and combination fried rice that had such a fishy taste, I know there's shrimp in it but it tasted like they fried it with oil they used to fry fish in, it was just so off. Extraordinary customer service implemented here. Good parking to where you can see your vehicle as well. The man here was on it with my water, getting all my food hot to me at an effective timely manner. It just overall was a really enjoyable time. The only thing I think that should be implemented for the prices they have for dining in is that the food when brought to tables should be covered. My family and I will typically order multiple entrees and take the left overs. Bt when you come back for another scoop of chowmein it just isnt the same. This place is located right off the freeway and is a convenient place to fulfill your Chinese food cravings. I love coming to Annie's for their lunch special because it is super affordable. They have a combination plate for about $8 and it comes with 2 choices of dishes over rice of chow mien and soup and an appetizer of an egg roll or friend prawn. My personal recommendations are: Hong Kong style chow mien (which is a noodle dish, served with hard noodles that gradually cook as you mix the cooked veggies and protein), the Sichuan beef served with their garlicy sauce, the calamari (which you can ask for chili sauce for dipping) and honey walnut prawns. Their meals come with hot tea and a fortune cookie when you pay. However, be warned that you might not be served a glass of water until the end of the meal or until you continually ask. They are definitely good about take-out orders and their food is served in a very timely manner. read more

We have been eating Annie's food for more than 10 years and so this review is long overdue. They are widely regarded as being the second best Chinese restaurant in Vallejo after China Wok. It's a close call, we will gladly eat the food from either place. Annie's is conveniently located just off I-80 at Redwood St in Vallejo and so is perfect for picking up dinner to go if you pass here on your commute. Just call in advance about 15 minutes before you will be there and they will have your food packed and ready to go. They offer all of the standard Chinese American dishes (kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork) and a few of the more traditional Chinese dishes (tofu, gailan,choi sum) all of which are prepared with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. We are in the middle of a kitchen renovation, so we are eating out alot more than planned. Annies helps us do that with really low prices. Only an idiot would think that this is the best Chinese Restaurant in the Bay. Obviously, you haven't been to very many. I do admit it's DIRT CHEAP, and the owner is really nice, BUT.... The place is filthy, the bathrooms are disgusting, and don't even dare to look into the kitchen while they're preparing your food. The dust vents just continue to shed dust everywhere and have never been cleaned. Even when they wipe down my table, it's still sticky and feels dirty to me, I'm not even sure if the rag is clean. As for the food, I can barely swallow it because it's either too greasy, or too tasteless/bland. I know it's Chinese food but damn: OIL IS NOT A FLAVOR. Plus there was a hair in my food, and a fly chilling on my plate. Hella gross. I don't even want to know about all the nastiness that I CAN'T see. The price is right, you can't get any cheaper than that, but that's how they trick you to eat here, not to mention the huge sign you can see from the freeway. Plus it's Vallejo, let's face it, everything in this city is cheap so i wouldn't expect Annie's to be expensive! And Vallejo doesn't have a lot of good chinese restaurants to compare it to, so that sucks that people say that this is "the best".
