LOVE this addition to the Glen Cove Shopping Center! We used to go to the Suisun location around 2010 or so, but we stopped going because it was always too crowded and we didn't like waiting. That said, I'm so glad they expanded to this new location. We've gone twice so far. The restaurant is always full with a few open tables, so we've never had to wait to be seated. Food is excellent! I had the homemade corned beef and the also the Korean short ribs on separate visits. Both dishes were great. It's not just your typical American brunch menu. They have Filipino, Korean, and Hawaiian (Loco Moco) options too. LOVE that! Service is good. Restaurant is clean. Their seats have comfy pillows on them. the vibes in the cafe were so cute! so many trinkets and murals and amazing things to look at while ur dining. Everyone seems to know everyone which also adds a bit to the good vibes this place has. We went on a Thursday around 11am and it wasn't super packed and there was no wait. The servers really checked up and were attentive to all of our needs from start to finish. Was very quick and efficient cause this was a stop on the way to six flags for a day. I am a big fan of pancakes and my partner loves waffles so we caved in on our favorites. The loco moco with the fried rice is sooooo good puts me in a food coma EVERYTIME because I have to eat all of it! Sooo filling and delicious! The employees were very kind and super patient with our group; especially with some super specific requests. There were a bunch of cute Peanuts decor on the walls which make the ambiance of the restaurant feel very warm and inviting. First time at this location. It's located in the Glen Cove Plaza. We've eaten at the Suisun location a few times throughout the yrs so it's nice that they opened up one in Vallejo since it's closer. The ambience is definitely a total opposite from the Suisun location which has a waterfront location, outside and inside seating but limited seating inside. This location has no outside seating but it is much bigger inside and the decor is super cute and cozy. I love the Snoopy and Peanuts mural and snoopy screensaver on the TV. The service was fine. Not the best or worse. Our order was taken quickly and got our food quickly. As far as the food. It was okay. There was too much fat on my steak but I liked the fried rice and eggs. I've been here a couple times when it was purely Von's and also been to Babs in Suisun. I think your experience will greatly depend on what you order. I got the Korean fried chicken. I really enjoyed the flavor! It was about $20 for a half order. But I could only finished 7/10 pieces. Next time I may go for the drumsticks instead. I felt the pieces of thigh were a little dry maybe because of the size. I went with a large group and they were very accommodating! Ken was fantastic! They take reservations. He split the orders up so the kitchen wouldn't be overwhelmed. He took care of our drinks. Our food all came out relatively close together and this was almost noon lunch rush. The people that were happy with their food got the Korean fried chicken or breakfast items. Someone said the pancake was very good. The people that weren't as impressed with the food got burgers (no option to customize the patty doneness) or sandwiches. To clarify, I have not been to the first location either, so this is as unbiased as you can get. Breakfast is often known as the go-to meal, the one that doesn't change. We all know what an overeasy egg should taste like, right? Babs delivers there; the corned beef hash with crispy potatoes and over medium egg tastes just as it should. No frill necessary, until you see the option to have fried rice. Fantastic fried rice for breakfast, tastes just like takeout. We also had the Mickey pancake for our son, super fluffy and not. TOO. SWEET. Playful enough to get a kid to finish his meal! Speaking of playful, the murals on the walls are adorable! I grew up with Peanuts characters as well, clipping newspaper comics and saving them for later. Wide open seating area, very different from the last restaurant that occupied this space (RIP Js garden) Service was quick, server was super friendly, no notes! Finally got to try Bab's after they took over the Von's spot. Ended up getting takeout after shopping at Safeway next door. Greeted immediately by friendly staff and proceeded the counter to put in the order. Ended up getting the spam loco moco. It was okay. The portion ended up being a little light for what the price was, so the value isn't quite there. My son ended up getting a Mickey pancake (loves pancakes and we just came back from Disney) which he loved. Place is nicely decorated with some nice wall paintings and ample seating. Overall, don't know if I'd go back. If you're looking for a nice brunch I'd probably make the trip to Napa, AC, or across the bridge to Pleasant Hill (The Royale). read more

Waited 15-20mins before food arrived. The korean bbq short ribs was so delicious! Pricey compared to other short ribs meal (others has white rice & mac) but it is so delectably good with their eggs and fried rice! There's kimchi and toast on the side as well, so hungry that it is worth the price. I also had the Chicken n Waffle, the chickens are huge and tastes like my mom's home cooked fried chicken. Visited a few weekends ago at 9:30 on a Saturday and boy was it busy (a great sign for longevity). My friend was able to get a table fairly quickly for us and two kids. The place is small but cozy and had really cute decor for the fall season. It was quickly apparent that they sat too many tables at once and were a newer combination of team members because the wait staff were overwhelmed. Our server was very pleasant but was running all over the place so had minimal attention for each table. Our food took over 35 minutes which would have been fine had the delay been communicated and my dish, eggs Benedict, not come out fully cold while we waiting for half of the other food to arrive. Eggs Benedict was good despite the temperature and my friend loved her chicken and waffles so this place has quality, just needs more staff to support how popular it is or a bit more time for servers/kitchen to get coordinated. In the mornings, until 2:30 PM, it's Bab's serving up all your fave breakfast/ brunch items. Then it becomes Von's for some yummy Korean Fried Chicken! I actually never ate at their Suisun City location because it's always busy when I try! Which just shows how loved Bab's is. It's def a spot I rec to people visiting - even though I've never been lol I absolutely love how cute and cozy the inside looks. During my visit, it's fall, so it's super cozy! With fall decorations and Snoopy sipping on hot cider(?) or tea(?) playing on the TV; which creates such a cozy ambiance. I love the art work, too! The walls are painted with Snoopy characters which is very fun to look at while you're eating. It adds so much character to the restaurant. It's pretty spacious inside. A good amount of seating for small to big parties. For the food, I 100% recommend their Loco Moco with Bab's Fried Rice! The portions of every dish we ordered was a good sharing size! The wifey ordered Hash and eggs, fried rice and sour-dough toast. The food came quickly and plenty enough for leftovers. Was pleasantly surprised to see that Bas Delta Diner has landed its way into Vallejo! They have basically made their restaurant a Vons x Babs collab, with the some of the same yummy Korean dishes and chicken still on the menu, but with the added benefit of all the American breakfast classics being served in the morning time. Their menu is huge! So many options to choose from, including omelettes, benedicts, waffles and pancakes, and a few special fusion items as well. Absolutely love that fried rice is offered as a side! My hubby and I got a little bit of everything. He loves a classic breakfast, so he got two eggs over easy, two bacon and sausage each, country potatoes, and a side of white toast. Simple, classic, and can never go wrong with this order! I ended up getting the ribeye with eggs and fried rice. They give you a huuuuge slab of meat!! It was practically half my plate. Cooked medium per my liking and seasoned well. I definitely had leftovers to take home! To share, we ordered a waffle with whip cream on the side. It was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We've been here a couple of times now, once almost immediately upon soft opening, and another time more recently. Both times the food has been absolutely fantastic! I already liked Von's a lot before, and now they have breakfast food too???? Amazing! (I can't believe another review actually complained about having both options lol) People working there have all been super nice. My wife and I also talked briefly to Julie when we first went... really engaged owner and you can tell she really cared about the food as she was very intently trying to get our opinion on specific dishes. The care and quality really shows! I love the option of fried rice w/breakfast.... and there's really a very nice selection of food for either breakfast or lunch. I like how they did the decor too, the mural on the wall is a nice touch and Julie explained some of the people/personalizations involved, which was awesome. After our first soft-opening visit I dropped a positive recommendation on my Vallejo/Benicia food group on FB and the post became our #1 most popular/re-shared post, so that was an interesting bonus lol. I've had Vons here plenty of times, so when they added Bab's Diner I decided on a solo breakfast there to try it out. The menu offers a lot of typical and Hawaiian breakfast options, and still offeres Von's chicken (honey butter!). I ordered the veggie omelet, and they did NOT skimp on the veggies, which I loved! I was able to sub out toast for a hot cake. What's different about this place compared to other diner options is that they give an option of choosing fried rice as your side instead of potatoes! It was a nice, American portion of food and filled me up until dinnertime. I was disappointed in the hot cake because it honestly just tasted dense lol. I had to slather both sides in butter to finish it. The food was good, nothing stand out amazing, but good diner food. Service was quick, and I appreciate the male server offereing to sub my toast for a hot cake :) The space is very open, lots of seating, and they painted the walls cute! Let's just say disorganized.. kids running the desk. The place is confusing. A Korean bbq lunch menu - then another menu with all the other foods. We came in and several tables left. Then 3 tables sat and sat some more that needed to be cleaned. We were told we would be next, we were a 2 top and were to go to table 21. The tables sat and sat and sat. Then a lady came and took our names and added us to the list after they took an 8 top names. Then Another 3 top - then added us - who were first and were only 2. Then another couple got added next..and waited too. We waited and waited . Tables weren't being cleaned - people still came in and were put on the list. Some other tables left and still the Tables weren't being cleaned. Then all of a sudden . The tables were cleared in the back. The the 3 top was sat. Then the 8 top, they all arrived after us and the two tops sat full of dishes. Then finally the two tops were cleared - and another group who came in after us were sat. It's very confusing.. I have a weird feeling about why ? And I'm uncomfortable with it . Maybe it's a coincidence? Maybe not . But the people who waited to be seated looked alike - and the people sat looked alike - but we were not the same. So I'm confused .. maybe an implicit bias ? It was really fishy . A strange experience overall. What sucks is the food was good . It really was . The cheeseburger was excellent and my patty melt was on another level. The fries were hot and steamy. Parking is different and available - Safeway shopping center is a busy place and there is a cannibus shop next door. Not my kinda place but to each their own. So I really wanted to love this location, because we would go to their original location and eat the same exact dishes each time. They were always so good and always hit it the spot. But unfortunately these did not! Yes I know it's a soft opening, and you're working all the kinks out, but this isn't the first time this OG breakfast establishment is making these recipes, with their experience I expected more. The chicken fried steak wasn't that flavorful, it was pretty bland. My wife had a hard boiled egg on top of her eggs Benedict, which really takes away from the experience of eating this particular meal. You expect an egg that you can poke into, and the yolk drops down the side. Unfortunately I won't be come back and I'll stick to other breakfast spots, that taste better and are worth my 43 bucks. Not a problem, I'll order at the counter. Grabbed a menu and the guy behind the counter asked if it was take out to dine in. I took a seat and he came and took my order. Went with the seafood pancake and the yangnyum wings. Seafood pancake was good. Dipping sauce was great. The chicken however wasn't what I was expecting. The picture on the menu showed what I'd previously had as an example of yangnyeom chicken. What came out on the plate was not that. It was like fried chicken with spoon full of ketchup on each wing. I will say I flipped the chicken to the underside that had no sauce and it was real good. Nice sized wings fried right. Really dug the snoopy decor and the layout of the restaurant. Located Glencove Shopping Plaza on 134 Robles Way. Ample parking and love the ambiance! 1st time here and definitely not my last! Ken was amazing as our server. Had the Spam Loco Moco and my woman had the Dream French Toast. Had to cop their shirt! Must have if u don't have one yet! Mines says "The kitchen is seasoned with love." Really nice server. We had: 1) korean short ribs and eggs - 4.5/5 good flavor well prepared; 2) korean crispy chicken - 5+/5. This was so good. Batter was perfect chicken was crisp and sauce was yum; 3) short haul - 4.5/5 pancakes were yummy and eggs and bacon perfectly cooked; 4) chili cheese fries - 4/5 good but chili was a little sweet for our tastes and had no heat; & 5) husband had coffee - 5/5 best diner coffee I have tasted in ages. Came if for breakfast. Service was good but slow at. First. Place is cheerful with the murals. Food this time was "okay" for both of use. Prices are much higher than I recall the first time. Breakfast for the 2 of us with a $9 tip was $59. No mimosa's just a black tea and a Diet Pepsi. read more

Love Babs Delta Diner and I am so excited that we have one in Vallejo. The restaurant is spacious and great for groups. It has the same diner feeling as the Babs located in Suisun. I love they serve Korean food at dinner and their menu selection is great! We ordered the bulgogi, short ribs, beef tofu soup and Korean Fried chicken seasoned with honey butter. Everything turned out stellar. The staff were friendly and accommodating. This place is a must! read more

Came here spontaneously on a Wednesday and was surprised by how busy it was! Our server, Ken, was amazing even with the rush, his service was attentive and impeccable. I ordered the fried chicken with fried rice. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and super crunchy just how I like it! The portions were generous, and everything was delicious. I was a little worried the dream toast would be too sweet for me, but it was actually perfect not overly sweet at all, yet still satisfying enough to hit that sweet tooth.
