I had a friend mention this place. He said they always got carry out pizza from here. I've been in the Portland area on Monday's recently & tried it out today. I was not disappointed at all. The pizza I had was delicious. The ingredients looked & tasted fresh and high quality. I can't wait to try something else out on their menu!

PORTLAND LOCATION! If I could give zero stars, I would. Placed an order last night 11/29/18, for 2Med Pizzas, before going to sleep for work. I work 3rd shift. 1st - 2x Sausage with Extra Cheese. 2nd - Pep & Sausage with Extra Cheese The 2x Sausage was for the family to eat. The Pep & Sausage was mine to have for lunch while at work. After I placed and paid for the pizzas by card, I, went to sleep. When I woke up, I ate the last slice of 2x Sausage that was in the box, on my way out the door. During my lunch break is when I had 1 slice of the Pep & Sausage, and discovered the pizza had no bottom bake. The bottom is not cooked, as u can see in the pics. It's to the point, that the cutter didnt even cut the slices, because it was too doughy. The top of the pizza looks amazing. I never thought to look at the bottom of a pizza when it comes. It's just somethin, that's always right, when it arrives at the door. It was 2am, and obviously, they were closed. So, when I got off, I tried calling the store. Little to my surprise, they dont open until 3pm. Called the store today, was telling the woman who answered the phone, she treated me like a piece of shit. No concern whatsoever. Asked me if I had called last night about the pizza? I told her no, that they were closed. She tells me, "SHE" wouldve called "RIGHT AWAY" if her pizza was raw, as if I was telling a damn lie. I told her it was no way for me to speak with anyone, so I saved the pizza, as proof, but since i didnt call "last night", it was nothing they could do. Was told, if I had called, "last night", then they wouldve made me a new pizza and sent it out. When I told her the pizza was raw with no bottom bake, she told me that's how their pizzas are. A TOTAL FUCKIN LIE. Maybe the bottom burners had went out. I dont know. But, I know one thing, the bottom isnt cooked, and the pizza is very doughy, under the toppings. Treating me like I was trying to steal from them, was unacceptable. Not every person that calls with a concern, is trying to get something for FREE. All I wanted was to call it in, take them this pizza, and to pick up the new one. I didnt want a driver bring a free order. I asked her what should I do with this raw pizza, she said she didnt know, it wasnt her pizza. It shouldnt matter when I called back with a concern, as long as I had the product, that's all that should matter. Pictured are the pizzas when they came, after the pizzas came, the empty box of the good pizza, then the bottom of the raw pizza, so you can see the rawness. Along, with my proof of purchace. We use Annie's for our work functions. 30-40 pizzas. Never again!

Very low prices and pretty good food. Deep in the heart of Portland. Only thing I don't like is they charge for garlic butter.

Very cute house limited parking very unassuming neighbourhood to a out-of-town. Client service was fantastic. Everyone was so pleasant. Food selection was great. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got the meatballs, the Arancini balls, oysters, kids pasta and three pizzas. The meatballs came with its own pita homemade delicious. Honestly, it would come back just for that. Of course had to get the tiramisu for dessert even though we were so full and it was so good. Super comparable to pizza and food in Toronto honestly, I was so happy great way to end my two week trip

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.

This is a terrific deal, plus it makes us get out of our rut at eating at our favorite place all the time. I will be honest, I have not been to Impellizerri's in years. We've been to Italy and Italian Switzerland many times and love their very thin, fold in your hand pies which have fresh tomato sauce and flavorful local cheese. I was hopeful- Impelliizeris had a thin crust option! Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as I remember. The crust is too doughy, the sauce is bland and the cheese was thick and tasteless. We didn't even eat our leftovers. I don't understand why so many like this, perhaps I should order something else if I return. Just a no from us!
