A new place I tried for Louisville Pizza Week. I try to go to the places I haven't been and since I was in the area. I decided to come and give this place a try. I placed a phone order for pick up and ordering over the phone was a breeze. It didn't take very long for the order to be ready. This is located in a small shopping center on La Grange Road. Going inside it wasn't very busy for a Saturday. Unbeknownst to me they had a small bar behind the with beer taps and some liquor. I never knew this otherwise I would've opted to dine in instead of eating in the car. I love how the inside is setup it is small but pretty cool on the inside. Definitely love the nostalgic look. I ordered the Pepperoni pizza that was their Pizza Week special for $10. I also got a drink. Service was awesome and I couldn't be anymore pleased. They do have specials listed on the chalkboard close to the door. For the pizza, it was greasy but, delicious. I loved how they season the crust and it was also very good. I would love to come back and try their other food. I was definitely impressed with the pizza and the service.

This is our third visit, and honestly, today was an off day. We came at a slow time, mid afternoon, so our group of eight was promptly seated. Drink orders followed, and the drafts were cold & fresh. I ordered some pepperoni rolls as a starter for the group. They came out a tad greasy and burned on the bottom. Not their usual. The red dipping sauce was excellent. My wife went for a gluten free pizza. Unfortunately, they didn't have the crust in the kitchen. So, they suggested a crustless pie. Pie toppings, covered in cheese served cold in a pie tin. We sent it back to be heated properly. It came back piping hot, but so liquid, we needed spoons to eat it. But the star of Chef's Cut is pizza and it didn't disappoint. Uh oh. Correction. We ordered two kids individual pizzas. One with sausage, the other with pepperoni. Both were brought out with only cheese. The larger pizzas, a 16" meat lovers and a 12" cheese with beef, mushrooms & jalapeños were perfect by my standards. Soft, chewy crust. Lots of toppings and sauce. Chefs Cut has become a favorite. The larger meat lovers pizza was equally good, but my stepson prefers the crust a bit crispier. That's an easy fix. Old school pizzeria. It's worth a visit.

When the food is good, it's truly exceptional. I ordered from here twice via DoorDash, and my experiences have been quite different. During my first order, everything was perfect: the food arrived hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The pizza and wings I had were so great that I immediately fell in love with this place. However, my second order was disappointing. While the pizza was hot, it was excessively greasy. The bottom was soggy, and there was a noticeable pool of grease under the pizza that even soaked into the box, making it inedible for me. The wings were still enjoyable but had significantly less sauce than before, which made them not quite as satisfying. (pic was sent to doordash directly but not saved to my phone so I have no pics of this) I did receive a partial refund from DoorDash, but what I really wanted was a properly made pizza. Moving forward, I plan to visit in person to ensure that any issues can be addressed immediately. The food is too good to stay away, but consistency is key for me. I want the same amazing experience I had during my first visit that made me a fan!

It feels like home! Gents meeting up to get beers and pizza, kids coming in with roller skates to get pizza before hitting up the skate rink. Just a pizza joint in a strip mall but some of the top pizza we've had! As a family we eat lots of pizza as it's the boys fav food! Prices are great and service was also excellent! I am pretty sure the owner was at the table when we walked in and he welcomed us in. The crust was thin with a nice crunch and the outer crust was bubbly with an awesome garlic Parmesan topping. Defiantly noteworthy keep cranking out some great pizza!!!

This is an outstanding pizza place that is one of the best in the nation. This family owned establishment is well run, organized, friendly customer service, and great food. Been coming for years and never had a hiccup or any issues at all. The 20 minute drive is worth it and gladly do it every time. It is a laid back place that has great music and a great place to hang out in. Check their website for daily specials Monday thru Friday. Everything has been special and I love it here.

Outstanding pizza! Been to Louisville twice and ordered this pizza each trip. Only dissapointment are the pepperoni rolls. They are nothing but greasy dough balls with a tiny amount of pepperoini.

Lemon pepper wings...after I had already eaten some.

Our server was so sweet and very personable. Let's get to the food. Lemon Pepper wings 5/5. Amazing! They were so good that I got an order to go. The wings were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our party got a large sausage and pepperoni pizza. The pizza came out hot and it had good flavor. I would give the pizza a 3.5/5 only because I personally do not prefer greasy/buttery pizza.

We finally made it to Chef's Cut & it did not disappoint! We attempted to pop in a month or so ago but didn't check their hours beforehand (rookie move) & they were closed. This time we called ahead to confirm their hours (because it was NYE week). We went on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm. We sat at a booth, ordered our carry out, & had a beer while we waited on our food. I'm glad we got there when we did because within 15 minutes of us sitting down, the place was packed! Which reaffirmed all of the great things we have heard about Chef's Cut. The house salad was fresh & tasted amazing. Recommend honey mustard dressing with the salad. Our sausage & pepperoni pizza was incredible & was packed with flavor. The wings were just as good as the pizza. The pepperoni rolls are a carb lovers dream. Next time we will be dining in because the atmosphere was so laid back & warm. The owner was walking around & talking to customers. Super nice to chat with. Cannot wait for our next pizza!

Can't get enough pizza in Louisville! This place is close ish to where I live. When I heard it was a BOB, I had to come try it! My sister and I both ordered personal pizzas. We added pepperoni. You can also do delivery! It's contactless!! Yummy! It's a good size and it was filling. You're paying for quality so it's a little pricier than going to Blaze. Still, it's local! The ingredients taste fresh! I'm down to try more off the menu. Love it!

We all drank water, soda or tea and they kept our glasses filled. We ordered the pork chop dinner that came with risotto and vegetables. My husband loved the veggies and risotto but was not thrilled with the chop. He wishes he would have asked for a steak knife as it was difficult to cut with the butter knife provided. It was tender enough but neither of us cared for the flavor. I had the Primavera. It was a bit bland. I had to salt it several times. Our favorite part of the meal was dessert. We had a piece of lemoncello cake that was flavorful, creamy and light. We both thought it was great. We had about $20 left on our gift card and were disappointed we couldn't use the balance as the tip. So we ordered two more desserts to bring home to use the balance of the gift card. We brought homemade a piece of Italian cream cake that was as good or better than the lemoncello cake and it was a huge piece of cake. We also have a piece of caramel sea salt cheesecake which was pretty good. It was loud in the small space and a bit difficult to have a conversation across the table. The background music did not help with this issue. The staff were friendly and helpful boxing up our leftovers. Tables have white cloth tablecloths and the owner was making rounds to greet all the patrons which was nice. We discovered there is parking in the back of the restaurant, as so many of the spaces in the area have signs indicating you will be towed if you park there. We had to park on the street about a block down.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam
