I tried this place a long time ago when I first moved to Louisville. But I was at the location downtown. My mom and I ordered 2 pizzas. Service is curbside, since COVID-19. We got the margherita and the old hickory BBQ. Wow! So fresh and very delicious! I was impressed! I've had their pepperoni before which is also amazing! Local pizza shops are always a must try! Prices are a little higher than your typical franchise, but this is local and worth the price. Service was good too! I'm thankful for all these workers who are working hard despite the health crisis. They got an outdoor patio and a sizeable parking lot. Can't wait to return!

We see this place every day when we go to work and I'm disappointed that it took us so long to order from here. Really great pizza! If you're looking for a great local pizza place, you've found it right here. We ordered the sampler pizza because we couldn't decide what to get (verything looks so good!) and we were very pleased! There was a perfect balance to the toppings, which all tasted fresh and weren't burnt from baking, and crust was perfectly baked. The sauce is delicious, which I'm not able to say very often about other places! We also got an order of breadstix which were fresh and hot, and fluffy, yet hearty! The sauces were good too, especially their homemade garlic butter! We've been looking for a great, dependable pizza place for a while, and I believe we found it! Will definitely be back.

    Always left overs here

okay so this has been one of my favorite spots since i was about eight hears old. Impellizzeri's to me, at 8, meant "Pizza like 6" tall! No Way could you eat more than one slice unless you were a grown up!" (I have since been to Giordano's in Chicago and to me, it is our 'ville version!) Everyone is always nice. I have been to this location a couple of times and this particular one, I went to HS around the corner when it was a Pizza Hut, so now when I go in I am always impressed at how much better it is now as Impellizzeri's! I got a veggie pizza...it was great. My wife got a margarita pizza and loved it as well. We both took about half home and knew that we were going to hehe. Best left overs in the Lou! Thanks to yelp for the coupon offer but we knew we would be stuffed and didn't waste it ;) Will be visiting anytime I am in the mood for the bomb pizza BAM! When it comes to pizza, you get what you pay for in quality and this is quality and quantity. Cheers to all in the Impellizzeri's fam!

    Spaghetti with meat balls.

No hot drinks, Mostly pizza with 6 pasta dishes and 4 sandwiches. Only spaghetti and penne pasta available. I had pasta with meatballs. Meatballs (3) were large and meaty. The sauce was good but not exceptional. It came with 2 large bread sticks that were exceptional! The menu says that they are baked on site and I believe it. They came with just enough olive oil and grated cheese. Really good. Service was friendly and quick (5 stars), but I ordered penne and was given spaghetti. So 4 stars for service. Price was ok.

There was a long wait but the staff was so friendly and hard working we didn't mind at all. They did their best to get us seated as soon as possible and once we sat down the service was excellent despite being super busy. The pizza came out fast and hot and was super yummy. We got the bbq pizza and the cheese bread and both were delicious. The prices are also reasonable and the atmosphere is family friendly and fun!

The bread service is warm sourdough bread served with dipping oil that has roasted garlic cloves inside - yum! For dinner, mom had their sea bass special which was excellent. I went all out and got the 16 layer lasagna, which has 4 different types of meats. Soooo good and the size was large enough that I had the leftovers again the next night. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. One of the best Italian spots in Louisville - 5/5!

My party was seated back corner and it was very awkward for the servers to maneuver to refill drinks or bring/take plates away, at one point they had to stand on the window ledge & it just seemed very awkward and uncomfortable having to constantly re-adjust seating just so they can squeeze by. The whole step up area was just crowed. I love the giant mural they have on the wall with details, low lights, & just nicely displayed table setting. I ordered beef carpaccio and was very excited due to seeing how popular this dish is online and it was pretty tasty, kinda like a salad. For my entree I ordered braised short rib and it was like a roast style and very tender, paired with well seasoned collared greens, cheesy grits, and zucchini! Very filling, was stuffed!! My partner & I would love to go back & we definitely enjoyed ourselves!

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and without exaggeration, they were the best I've ever had. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the balance of textures throughout the dish was incredible. Every bite had the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and toppings. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of place. It was one of those meals where you find yourself slowing down just to enjoy every bite. Even the water deserves a mention. It was clean, crisp, and refreshing. If it came straight from the tap, I would have never known. It's a small detail, but it speaks to the overall dining experience when even something as simple as water stands out. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. It's easy to see why this restaurant has built such a strong reputation. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to accessibility. As a person with a disability, parking can make or break a dining experience. Unfortunately, there was no handicap parking available, and there were no nearby parking spots open when I arrived. I ultimately had to park in a hotel lot about a block away, which cost $25 for just two hours. Not only was the cost frustrating, but the additional distance was challenging given my mobility needs. The food was phenomenal and absolutely worth trying, but I do hope accessibility becomes part of the conversation for future guests. For those without mobility concerns, this may not be an issue, but for disabled patrons, it's something important to consider before visiting.

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam
