Cozy, intimate spot--perfect for a date night! My first taste of Uzbekistani cuisine was fantastic, with tender kebobs and delicious homemade sesame bread. Loved the refreshing mint and lemon water. Quiet atmosphere and attentive staff made it a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

My favorite cuisine in Chicago. Lots of meat and seafood. I love the Kazakh style soup and samsas at Anor; they are very big and tasty. Last time, I had a Tashkent tea, Manty and Kazakh style soup. Very good, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere at the restaurant. I would really like if it they added black tea with milk to the menu. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Central Asian food.

Wow what a wonderful little restaurant! Looking for a place to eat, Anor only popped up when I zoomed in on Google Maps! I'm so glad we came here for lunch because the food was spectacular. The waitress was also super nice and helpful with the menu. We ordered the manty, plov, and mastava to share. Each item was delicious and flavorful and super fresh. My Russian friend gave this place her seal of approval after one bite of the plov. My personal favorite dish was also the plov. I definitely need to come back and try more of the menu.

We were really excited to come here. It was only two of us. Not much trouble at all. And we got there before it even got too busy at 7 pm. The food was really good but the service was TERRIBLE. Every-time we requested plates, napkins, utensils, a drink, ANYTHING. We had to ask at LEAST TWO extra times. I'd see other couples around us who would ask for the same thing I asked for and get it right away. Didn't make sense. But it got to a point where I had to communicate with the host to just get things done for us because we were always forgotten about. Our server would say ok after a request and just completely forget after walking away and never brought what we requested. Also, they brought the food out sporadically. For an example, we were served our sides and waited like 10+ mins for our main dish. And I got my main meal first and my partner got their food like 10-15 mins after me. I was more than halfway through my meal by the time they got their meal. Like I said, the food was good. But the service was terrible. I would not dine here again or bring someone there. I'd MAYBE have their takeout cause the food was good. But service and attentiveness, they need to work better on.

Chose this restaurant on a whim as it's right across the street from Regal which we had tickets for a late night movie. I can't express enough how delicious this restaurant is. We got an appetizer, entrees and dessert. Everything was incredible.

My favorite place for dinner. A cozy, bright place with panoramic windows overlooking the street. Polite, smiling staff and servers. They have 4 key dishes: samsa tandoori, plov, lagman, and manty. I love their samsa for the crispy dough and the amazing filling inside, which pairs deliciously with their signature sauce. The very large portion size of the plov and the amazing quality meat makes me order it again and again - it's very tasty! The Tashkent tea, which consists of citrus fruits, honey, ginger, and mint, energizes me and provides vitamins. And for dessert - honey cake. Honey-soaked biscuits with a creamy caramel filling goes perfect with a tea. It's the most delicious Central Asian cuisine in Chicago for me. Highly recommend!

I wanted my family to experience a glimpse of Kyrgyz food, so of course we ordered all the things only a local would know about ! After a wonderful evening listening to an intimate concert by a Russian cellist at Arcada Theatre,…read moremy two Russian friends and I decided to have dinner at Chinor. What a fantastic choice! Even better, it's only a few blocks from my house, so I know I'll definitely be back. The restaurant is elegant without feeling pretentious. White tablecloths, a warm atmosphere, and attentive, friendly service immediately make you feel welcome. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, answered all our questions, and guided us through dishes that were new to me. Everything we ordered was excellent. We started with one of their traditional breads, which was fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. We also shared several salads, including an eggplant salad that completely stole the show. It was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and one of the best eggplant dishes I've had in a long time. Another highlight was their large steamed dumplings, similar in spirit to pierogi but distinctly Uzbek. They were generously filled with lamb, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying. Comfort food at its best. One thing that really impressed me was how authentic the restaurant felt. It was busy with people who clearly knew and appreciated the cuisine, including many Eastern European and Central Asian diners, which always feels like a good sign. It is wonderful to find a restaurant serving authentic Uzbek food in the suburbs, and doing it so well. Excellent food, gracious service, and a beautiful atmosphere make Chinor an easy recommendation. If you're looking to try something beyond the usual restaurant choices, this place is absolutely worth the visit.

We ordered plov expecting the full dish shown in the picture, and instead got a pathetic pile of plain rice with a tiny piece of beef literally the size of my palm and one sad, undersized boiled egg that looked like a joke. Then we ordered lamb skewers and got ONE skewer, even though the picture clearly shows 4-5. It honestly feels like they're intentionally misleading people to squeeze more money out of them. To make it worse, we spoke to the manager about it, and all she did was say "sorry" without giving any real explanation or trying to fix the situation. Completely dismissive and unprofessional. We were so fed up that we ended up calling the cops because of how blatantly misleading this whole thing was. Portions are embarrassing, the advertising is deceptive, and the service is a joke. Avoid this place unless you want to feel ripped off.
