Very flavorful and probably the highlight of the meal. Son had the Lobster and Crab Omelet that was very good as well but he left some on his plate to finish HIS grits! Beignet Biscuits didn't go over as well as I'd thought with my husband who loves sugar and biscuits but I think it was just his taste. Not really sure how to review but just want management to know our experience. So...we strolled up on Sunday around 12:45 for brunch. We were happy to see there were tons of empty tables inside and out as a lot of the restaurants were jammed. We approached the doe-eyed hostesses who were quick to tell us they were no longer seating. A nice breakfast place in Boca. Upon walking inside, we were hit with a potent smell of chemicals, like someone cooked the bacon in its package. So we asked to be seated outside which was fine. Our server was friendly and very accommodating. The food took pretty long to come out though, not terribly long but it took awhile. The coffee was okay, a bit lukewarm the second time she poured it but it was alright. Gluten Free pancakes were actually very good, fluffy and flavorful. My boyfriend got the coffee infused pancakes and said they were crunchy and not very good. My eggs were okay. The chicken sausage was good and flavorful but the bacon was terrible. First time at this location and I have to say I was impressed just by how friendly everyone there was. Everyone had a smile on their face and said hello. Always a fantastic experience food-wise. The omelette was very good. The bacon was well prepared. My pancakes were about average but I enjoyed them. The menu is very interesting and I would have enjoyed trying more of their interesting items. However, I will not be going back. The reason is quite simple. We walked into a restaurant that only had a couple of tables occupied, and it took a very long time for them to get to us. We even stopped another server and asked her to get us someone to serve us. I watched a manager on his laptop and cell phone more than walking the floor and trying to improve the guest experience. I suspect (based on what I overheard) that the kitchen was having issues. So let's go there... she ordered lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes... served without the whipped cream and lemon zest. The waitress offered to fix it but, nah... the goat cheese was in the form of cold crumbles between pancakes, a handful of blueberries thrown on top. Seriously uninspired for $15. I had shrimp & grits... the taste was decent, but the menu said "gulf shrimp". I was envisioning something south of cocktail shrimp, not 40-50 count. I was pretty disappointed in this place. The wait was long which was to be expected on a Sunday but the wait to get our food was even longer. My son ordered the cinnamon rolls and one was so burnt that the top was mostly charcoal. How the chef could burn something that badly and still think it's good to go is beyond me. My daughter only received half her meal. We needed to ask twice and wait at least 20 minutes to get it brought over. It was mostly cold by that time. Since no one came to take our payment, despite waiting until the restaurant was almost empty, we took our receipt to the front desk where we had to wait yet again to have someone appear from the back so we could pay and leave. But recently on a visit we had a server who seemed a little bit grouchy and also gave us slow service without any explanation or comment. The wait was about a half hour long, which was just the right amount of time for us to walk to the restaurant. When we arrived, we waited maybe five minutes before we were seated at a table. This was so much better than having to put our name on a list at the door and wait it out there! Our server was friendly and the wait for drinks and food wasn't long. I opted for the cucumber bloody mary which was perfect - light and refreshing with a little kick! My friend had the spicy mary which came with a bunch of garnishes including a piece of crispy bacon. We both ordered the crab cake eggs benedict, plus a half order of beignets. The benedicts were great. The potatoes that came on the side were a little boring but fine. The beignets were disappointing; they were heavy chunks of dough that tasted more like bread rather than the lighter, fried doughnut texture we expected. I had high hopes for this place but after visiting this location for a small brunch with friends, I don't plan on returning. For starters, our waters took about 10 minutes to make it to our table and the restaurant was not busy at all. After ordering I realized my fork was dirty and the salt & pepper grinders were very sticky- makes me question their cleaning routine as I once was a waiter myself. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of regular grits, Scrambled Eggs with maple chicken sausage and potatoes, and Shrimp Grits. Nothing really stood out to me that was worth ordering again. The potatoes were dry, grits were tasteless, and the scallions atop my eggs Benedict were also dry enough to seem they had been sitting in a container for a few days. The maple chicken sausage was pretty good I will add. This place seems to have better "sweet" menu items (like their pancakes and crepes) so I would stick with that upon ordering. My wife and I visited this great find on Saturday. They were operation on Soft Opening mode. It was a bit chaotic, busy, and packed. The staff handled it pretty awesome. I must say the place looks great. They have a nice outside dining area and inside is pretty large. So let's start with the menu. I started with this Granola, Banana, Blueberry Quinoa, and this sweet cream. BAM!!! Grand Slam with this one, My wife opened her eyes on the first scoop like it was the greatest spoon she had put in her month in a long time. It was amazing. I order the meat omelet and it comes with potatoes and a nice size omelet with bacon and sausage. Very good taste. My wife ordered the Bananas Foster's Pancakes and they were pretty good. Not overwhelming and not crazy sweet. She really enjoyed it. both entrees were less than $12.00 and the servings were nice. Also, the coffee "Thank God" was pretty good too. WOW!! If your looking for something sweet this is perfect. The warm apples, raisins and walnuts were like candy and combined with the french bread and baked brie it was the perfect combo of crunchy, creamy and sweet. I highly recommend this dish. We ordered another round of cocktails and our entrees. I got their version of a BLT and my friend had the Southern Shrimp salad.We must have waited another 40 min for our meals to come out. I saw other tables around me complaining about how long dishes were taking so we tried our hardest to sip our cocktails and be patient. Well drinks were gone, waters were gone and our waitress was missing. At around 20 min to close our food finally arrived. We both loved what we ordered and gobbled it all up. My sandwich was really really good and the melted gouda made it that much better. My friend loved her salad which looked very colorful and large in size. Her only complaint was that the shrimp was piping hot and it could have been cooler to mix with the fruit in the salad. We wanted something new and now we know we should stick to what we know. Claudia was our server and she was terrible. We waited 25 minutes for our "apps" and 40 minutes for our food. The order was entirely wrong (4 people). We were told she is their best waitress by the manager. I find that hard to believe based on her interactions with us and the food she brought out. It's like she didn't even look at what she brought out. None of the food was good. The cinnamon roll was hard and taste frozen. The fruit is overripe and the berries are frozen... They come out mushy and hard in the center. Bacon was ordered well done and came out raw. The manager attempted to fix the order and it still came out wrong. They need to work the kinks. The omelets and quinoa Breakfast salad is by far my favorite as well as the yogurt tuile ! I've also had the french toast and sweet potato pancakes. Both were good too. But I wanted to make sure I complimented the bartender, Shenandoah. We've sat at the bar and she is so sweet and has a great memory ! She remembered what I had the very first time we came in as well as a funny fact about that special someone I dined with. She is fun, energetic, and has a great sense of humor and personality ! My first time here and will surely not be my last. For some reason there are very few breakfast spots in the Boca area, so I asked a friend for some recommendations. I got a couple options, did some research and decided to give another broken egg a try. (I've seen a few locations popping up in south Florida over the last year or so and never thought about trying it until now). Parking, seating and service were all pleasant. The menu had quite a few choices that caught my attention, and even though I didn't order this time, I'll eventually be able to try em all. The time I went they had their "Fall Harvest" menu, which I included as a picture. I decided to try their Monte Cristo Dippers. I wasn't exactly knowing what the dish would look like based on the description, but it sounded really good (and it was!). It was literally (3) French toast sliders with ham turkey and cheese stuffing with a dipping cup of syrup and another dipping cup of mixed berry sauce. A side of potatoes to complement the dish. The sauce was very sweet which definitely went well with the sweetness of the French toast and the juicy meat. Oh. I was so excited to see this place open in Boca. Throughout college I swore by the one located in Tallahassee. Unfortunately, this was not up to par. The location itself is nice. Very well put together and plenty of space. Although, it did have a lot of echo. There was no wait time and we were immediately seated.
