My friend and I went there for lunch. It was busy, but we were seated quickly. The restaurant is reminiscent of New Orleans. The coffee was good. My friend ordered the ham and eggs. She enjoyed them. She said the grits were very good. I had the crab cake Benedict and asked to sub regular hollandaise for the andouille infused. My eggs were poached perfectly; the sauce was buttery and lemony. Sadly, the crabcakes were fishy tasting and mushy, almost like bad canned tuna. The potatoes were very good. My food was piping hot, the portions were generous, and the service was good. The menus looks amazing. I ordered the Madi gras omelet. It was ok(I was hungry) but nothing special except it had shrimp in it. I ordered a mimosa which was tasty but about 1/3 of a small glass with a strawberry on a toothpick in it. The omelet was definitely not what I expected. It needed a sauce or something else. As someone who has been to a handful of "another broken egg" around the country this one is by far the worst and furthest from the brand when it comes to food quality. I was excited when they opened this on the west side. If you're a fan of over cooked breakfast items then this is for you. I had the creamy shrimp Benedict. I wasn't asked how I wanted my eggs and traditionally poached eggs have runny yoke. The poached eggs were over hard, the creamy sauce had no cream mostly water. When I asked the server about the sauce I was told that's correct. From my experience at other locations this dish wasn't made correctly. I took notes of other tables as I walked out and saw a few other omelets they were clearly over cooked. So if a breakfast of what you're not expecting is your thing then this is the place for you. This is my second time here, and I thought this would be a great breakfast/brunch place but I'm quickly changing my mind. Both times I've been seated quickly however it takes forever to get your food. And I mean upwards of 20 minutes. It wasn't super busy when we came in and it was just two of us. We didn't order anything crazy that would require a long cook time so, not sure why everything was taking so long. Also the service itself varies from server to server, as the first time everything went smoothly, I got regular refills and didn't spend so much time waiting. This time around we had to wait longer for stuff because our server was nowhere to be found. Didn't get checked up on as often as I would like, and drinks went empty and we were not offered refills, rather we had to ask otherwise we'd never see the server for another 10 minutes. It also didn't help that they insisted on getting everything for all their tables at once, instead of taking care of things one at a time. I understand the logic but it's part of the reason why 90% of our visit was waiting. I was given the wrong dish after it had already taken 25 almost 30 minutes to get our food which only added to my annoyance, and our bacon was severely burnt to a crisp. There was no way we were going to wait another 15 minutes for it. The food was meh, definitely not worth $15 a plate with the bad service you get. It's very aesthetically pleasing but the flavors are lacking. The place itself has a cute vibe but not sure if I'd want to come back anytime soon. Be warned. read more

Went for brunch with 4 of us on Sunday to try this newer place. Great that we could call and get on the waitlist list so got in quickly. Service not the best with one meal arriving later than the other 3 and a couple of forgotten items. I ordered an omelette with roasted garlic in the description but instead it had raw garlic cloves. I asked the server about it and just got "I don't know" and no offer to check with the kitchen if that's how it's done. I just picked out the raw cloves but not the best. Went for our first time (Sunday at 10am) and we were not very impressed. Parking is horrible with several people having to park in surrounding parking lots. Apparently they are towing cars in adjacent parking lots so be careful. The food was decent but nothing to come back for. The plating was also horrible and our orders were missing items (broken egg sandwich was missing an egg and the one of the cinnamon waffle was just the rim with whipping cream hiding the missing middle). Burgers were very bland and dry, the potatoes that come with it were almost burnt to a crisp and hard to enjoy. The tea tasted old like it was starting to or in the process of fermenting. My partner had the tiramisu french toast and it didn't live to any great expectations. The photos looked more promising. The hot cocoa and whipped cream were good. I want to give this another try someday and hope it's better to maybe change my review, but for now; it is just a moderate breakfast place. Oh boy, I was happy to see Another Broken Egg, opening in El Paso tx. Went there on Wednesday at 8:00am,ordered hot tea and was informed, they do not have hot tea. Hot tea, a tea bag and hot water, is that so impossible. Duh!! 01 the food was less than mediocre, and the price wasn't, a bit pricey. With the attitude and the price, they won't be able be here for the long haul. I the place is new and people are rushing to try it out. But can you get them to come back, doesn't look promising. We are fans of Another Broken Egg in Memphis, Tn. But the one in El Paso,Tx is terrible‼The food does not resemble that of anywhere else. The eggs were cooked with the same pots and pans as the salmon and crab cakes. So of course they tasted fishy. The server was so upset that we asked for them (eggs) and other wrong orders to be remade. Then 2 other orders were wrong. When I asked for shrimp & grits it came back covered in green onions instead of being garnished. It was obvious the cook was irritated for the mistakes that THEY made. The pancakes were doughy, and they still tried to charge us for all the food messed up and attitudes. We had to send the ticket back 4 times before the manager fixed it. I hate doing stuff like this, but this experience was horrible. They need to change a lot.‼ read more

Went to have breakfast yesterday and it was okay. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a nice home feel to it. They did a very good job renovating the old village inn location. We were seated quickly and received menus, staff was very friendly. Menu if very busy, but easy to read, every thing looks good. Price is a little high for breakfast, but I had heard good things, so was looking forward to a good breakfast on the west side. Server was nice she took order and we waited for our food. I got the normal buttermilk pancakes and my wife got the banana bourbon pancakes. All dishes are served with eggs and choice of meat. Had to ask another server for coffee refills, because after server took order she was gone and we didn't see her again until she brought out the food. When the food came out it was by looks okay. Portion size for a 14$ breakfast horrible, pancakes were about the size of ihops. Bacon two slices good taste even though they looked over cooked they weren't, the eggs were a spoon full. My wife's about the same but covered in a sticky cinnamon glaze with bananas. The pancakes were mushy and felt undercooked. I thought maybe the grill was not hot, but assured after we sent them back that the grill was at 500 degrees. As we waited the manager sent out beignets for us to snack on while we waited for our pancakes. The beignets were good, but I noticed that the middle was a little mushy too, so maybe it's their batter that is not up to snuff. Another lady came by to check on us, I am assuming the owner or the business, she gave us a card for a free meal on our next attempt at the broken egg. I gave it to my wife maybe she wants to try it again. I was disappointed after hearing about how good this was.
