Food was, as always, delicious. However, we won't be returning as the service was terrible.

Went in and it was packed! But it was just me so I sat at the bar. Service was amazing, coffee was hot and the food was wonderful! I could taste the freshness of each ingredient in my hey Lucy omlet, and the English muffin that went with it was perfectly toasted with out being too crunchy. A+ for this breakfast knook...I left happy and full. It is a tad expensive but supports local and organic businesses, and you can tell! read more

Another Broken Egg was really good. Didn't like the long wait, but definitely worth it. I had the Benedict Oscar and it was fantastic, but one of my eggs was not cooked consistently (yolk wasn't runny). My wife got the lemon poppy seed special and she thought it was amazing. Lastly, the biscuit beignets were awesome and I recommend as a must get. read more

This is a great breakfast destination! We were visiting family In Huntsville in May. Our party was large - 7 and a toddler - but we were seated right away and had EXCEPTIONAL food and service. Lexi was our waitress and she was the best! She anticipated our every need and was both pleasant and attentive. She gave us wonderful menu recommendations. She brought crayons for the toddler but asked before leaving them as she knew some children at that age chewed on the crayons more than they colored with them. Uggggggggghhhhhhh where do I begin.... First off, Every since we moved here we noticed that this place is always packed so we thought the food was good since it keeps a crowd. We decided to give it a try... We went in and sat there for 20 minutes before a waiter came, he didn't even know the menu or the coffee, the seating was just to damn close for my liking, the food came and it was either too sweet, no taste or just plain bland. Went there with my family this weekend, and was pretty disappointed with my meal. The Cajun egg dish barely had any seasoning or filling, and the potatoes were similarly bland. But some of the other dishes that my family ordered looked great, so it's worth a shot. read more

Probably the best brunch in town. Always friendly staff. Hardly ever want for anything long when I eat here. Good biscuits, though I really wish they'd make them from scratch. Their City Grits are amazing and I love their fried diced potatoes. Really good Bloody Mary's, I highly recommend them! If you like seafood in your breakfast, this is the place for you! The menu is diverse but a bit overdone in my taste. They only offer 1 'traditional' breakfast. This is also a bit expensive, average $13 a plate. read more

Excellent food and lots of creative takes on traditional breakfast foods. I never can eat an entire waffle but the chocolate stuffed Belgian waffle with fruit made me finish it! Very light and crispy! And ask for Gina, she is amazing and takes great care of you. Make sure you let them know it is your first visit for surprises! read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe in the beautiful Jones Valley is the only place you'll find us for breakfast in the Huntsville area. The extensive and creative breakfast menu is a welcome respite from the standard meat 'n three cafes. Be sure to treat yourself to the decadent New Orleans inspired Beignets or the Baked Brie. I am partial to the egg based dishes such as the Lakeshore Scramble or Eggs Sardou, a unique spinach and artichoke eggs benedict dish. The Potato Sensation combos are great, too. I don't understand the reason for the weekend lines here. Perhaps the restaurant is understaffed since I've seen patrons wait outside while tables remained empty inside. The food here is not that great- it's just okay. Skip the beignets and spare yourself the unnecessary caloric genocide. read more

I seriously have no idea why anyone would not enjoy ABE. They are already friendly, fresh, and delicious. The value is also awesome-my family of 3 can usually have a bill under $30 and that's with an appetizer and drinks. I love their huverous rancheros, city grits, cinnamon rolls, their bacon...actually about everything there! I could eat their everyday. Great place!!!! We are in Huntsville,Al for my grandma's funeral but, this place brings our attitude up and the staff does a great part of that. The food is the best I've had in a long time. The bad part is we don't have one in Kansas. Keep up the great work!!! read more

My wife and I really enjoyed the breakfast and brunch here. True, it is a little pricier than your average waffle house or IHOP; but then again, the tastes are much better than those places. The belgian waffle was great...no need for syrup! The breakfast quesadilla and country potatoes were also really good. The Biscuit Beignets were awesome...just be aware that they are sweet and may be a little much at breakfast for some. Fairly quick service, in and out in about 35 minutes. read more

Also, wait times can be onerous: we got on the waitlist via Yelp at 9:45 with an advertised 22 to 38 minute wait, arrived there at 10:10 and were told *another* 25 to 40 minutes, and were finally seated at 11:05-no less than 80 minutes or more than 100% greater than we thought. read more

Great brunch place! I wish they had two locations, so that the wait wasn't so bad on the weekends. (Clearly the wait is a testament to their popularity.) I always get the GF pancake with berries, mostly because I'm just happy that someone in HSV carries GF baked goods. It's pretty decent. I think it's kind of hard to mess up standard breakfast food, so that's why I didn't give it all 5 stars. Great patio area during the spring, but it gets a little brutal in the summer. Definitely recommend for brunch, but expect at 30+ minute wait if you get there after 10a on the weekends. read more

They have good food if you want something better than the usual restaurant chain places like Dennys and IHOP. In the past the service was above average but service has not been up to par recently. For example, during my last visit on March 14, it took a long time to be seating although there was no one else in front of us and only two tables that were seated with customers. We had to smell cigarette smoke throughout our meal as it blew from the kitchen area into the dining area. Either some one smoked in the kitchen or employees were smoking with the back door hanging open. I don't wish to share their bad habit especially while I'm trying to eat. read more

Not impressed. Don't get me wrong, this is much better than Waffle House or IHOP... but being better than that isn't much. The service is decent, but for the price you'd expect it to be much better. The menu is decent as well.. but again for the price.. which seems to be a theme here. The food here is on the level of a good bed and breakfast, it seems to me that what you're really paying for is the stuffed shirt atmosphere. This place is probably the most pompous breakfast place I've ever eaten, but the food just doesn't match the attitude. Oh, and while I'm describing it - how ridiculous is it to have an open bar during breakfast? That just screams class right? But enough of that rant - Again the food is decent but for the price it needs to better. I love that it isn't greasy but that isn't enough to justify the price. read more

I would give 1 1/2 stars but couldn't. My breakfast companion ordered the Popeye breakfast scrambler - he thought it was okay. The bacon was good in it, the rest was passable. I ordered the lemon poppyseed french toast special. When they set the plate in front of me, my first thought was it looked like Sara Lee frozen pound cake, with poppy seeds sprinkled on top. When I cut into what looked like the end piece of the loaf -- it was confirmed. They cut four small pieces of Sara Lee frozen pound cake, sprinkled a few poppy seeds on top, and then topped with some canned cherries. Really?! How is that even considered a meal at a restaurant? It came with 2 eggs and a piece of sausage. They burnt the sausage. Ugh. To top it off, the coffee was incredibly weak. We stopped at a coffee shop after to get our morning coffee fix, because the brown water they served was NOT going to cut it. Hard pass on this place. read more

The wait was a half hour longer than stated and we got passed over by people that called ahead. We were finally sat after 50 minutes because I think they had pity on us and apologized profusely but then we took up a 6 top for 3 people. After a long wait unexpected the food was "ok" if we didn't have a horrendous waiting experience and weren't starving and dehydrated maybe the food would've tasted better. I can't say enough good things about Another Broken Egg. It is worth the long lines that form on Sundays. So many great things are on the menu and the staff is more than friendly. Special shout out to Cece! Everyone who has ever served us there (and we've been often) has always been wonderful. We've only had two problems with our orders (did I mention we've been there often?) and they were fixed immediately with no qualms. If you're in Huntsville, it's worth your time. After I had already fallen in love with Another Broken Egg, I happened to run into the owners and have a chance to meet them. I can assure you, they are VERY nice people. Enjoy! read more

Fantastic place for breakfast. This place is very popular so you will wait a bit for your food but it is oh-so-worth-it!!! Eggs Benedict in so many different combinations it will astound you. Like omelets? Try choosing only one! How about a mimosa, or a bloody mary with breakfast? That too! Great food, service is a little slow but it is worth it, sorry, you won't get breakfast like this anywhere else around here. Now it is my Sunday treat to myself and I can't wait for my friends to visit me so I can bring them here for brunch. read more

Went here on black friday while visiting town. Not impressed, it was mediocre at best. Hollandaise sauce on eggs Benedict tasted really weird and had a strange consistency. Crab cakes tasted like they had no crab in them, maybe a little fish. Omelet was very forgettable. Would not return. read more
