We went Easter Sunday & added our name to the list online. I checked in when it told me to and was told it was going to be 15 more minutes which was fine but it was actually over 30 minutes + we were at the table for another hour 15. The food was okay & our waiter was nice and apologized. With it being a new location & probably not being full staffed, they probably bit off more than they can chew opening a few days before a holiday. We'll be back though read more

Nice restaurant with plenty of seating. Plenty of natural light coming in from all the windows. The server could have been more welcoming and friendly. He served us and that was it. (wasn't personable) Our food was delicious! I had a regular mimosa (they have other flavors) and it was just ok. Don't know know if it's the brand of champagne but I didn't care for it. The food was phenomenal but our server Amanda was lacking. We were never offered drink refills so had to ask when our 3 coffees and waters were empty, then had to ask again the next time, but she forgot so had to ask a 3rd time, then only 1 coffee refill was brought for the 3 coffee drinkers at our table, so we split that 1 cup of coffee between 3 people. Then we finished our meal and sat at a cleared table for 30 minutes, but the check was never brought so had to ask for the check as well. After flying early morning and arriving in Pensacola and coming to Another Broken Egg, my friend and I had a wonderful experience. The food came out quickly, very tasty and was just what I needed after a flight. Our server Naquel was so attentive and checked on us multiple times. The restaurant normally doesn't sell while bottles of champagne; however the Manager Thea very accommodating and ensured she found a way to keep our bottle chilled. Overall, it was such a good vibe, friendly employees, and fast service. When I'm back in Pensacola, I'll make it a point to visit again. read more

Visited the new location on 9 mile to get a quick bite. Upon arrival it was a very nice revival of the old village inn. Waitress was very nice and attentive. I ordered the shrimp and grits with scrambled eggs and a side of bacon. Food came to the table in good timing but lukewarm. I saw no reason to make a big fuss as it was close to closing but I did let my waitress know. I also told her I did not want it remade. The manager came over insisting it'd be remade but my appetite was lost after eating cold and runny grits. He then let me know he's not supposed to take it off the ticket but he'd do it this one time. I found this very passive aggressive being that I never asked for it to be removed from my ticket. Luckily for them I won't be returning or recommending anyone else to do so. read more

Disappointed in the 60+ minute wait time with about 1/3 of tables open and no one being seated (though it was Easter Sunday, so tough to be short staffed). The waitlist app is not accurate and does not start until you physically check in with the host - there's no mention of this when you join the mobile waitlist. Frustrating. As for the food, it was good but nothing crazy. It met expectations but prefer any other brunch spot in town over this. Overhyped, go elsewhere if you can. read more

I am allergic to Dairy (butter, milk, cheese, etc). As is my custom, I called the restaurant before we visited and had the pleasure to speak to Thea, kitchen manager. I explained my situation and she was extremely eager to help me find several options that would be safe for me. In fact, she told me to tell our server to tell her that I was at the restaurant and she would fix my meal herself. We arrived, was seated and Hannah was our server. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived at 10:30am. My food was excellent and I could tell great care was taken to make sure my food was "safe"! During our stay, Thea came out and introduced herself to us. I later saw her busing tables to help out on the load. This was the first time eating at ABE and it is sure to not be my last. First visit since it's change from Village Inn and... NOT ready for prime time. I ordered AND paid for my food online and when I arrived, I still had to wait 1hr. When I informed the inexperienced host that I was here to pick up my order, "I'll look for it in a minute" was my reply. The host then prioritized the gaggle of Easter early risers that just walked in while giving me excuses that didn't make sense. There's a bag on the bar but, instead of just walking up and taking it, I follow the rules and trust the process. I waited, then ask a waitress to see if the bag was mine. She look at it on the way to the kitchen and continue on her way. Fed up, I demanded the manager because now it's an hour and I don't deserve cold food when walk in customers are treated differently. Of course , the manager goes to the bag that's now cold and stated " this is yours, sorry this is our first week" . You're lucky I didn't act like I was feeling because it would've been a scene on Easter. These ppl are not ready for prime time. Completely unacceptable regardless of how new you are. This time, my grits were hard, I asked for scrambled eggs "well," and they were runny, and my bacon was burnt and they still brought it to me. Decided to give the new Nine mile location a try after years of loving the downtown location. Disappointed is how I left. The food was Luke warm at best. They messed up our order and had to remake our food, and then charged us for a side dish we didn't ask for or order. In addition to that, I ordered the same thing as always, and the portion size here was significantly smaller then what I've always gotten before. We got it to go and it wasn't the best. The black stone Benedict had a tasteless tomato on it and made it kind of soggy. I know it's not the season really but I have eaten at the one in Charleston and really enjoyed it. The English muffin was also kind of chewy. The sausage with my husbands meal was really good. Another Broken Egg Cafe was a great experience. For anyone who has not eaten there, think...NYC creativity with a Southern charm to it . This place is a treat for a foodie. The newest restaurant is located off of 9 Mile Rd., not too far from UWF, but not in walking distance either. The prices are a bit steep, but you get a lot of bang for your buck. The service is great, the cafe was clean, but then again, it is brand new. The staff was friendly, but it was all about the food. The food is great. It tastes refreshing, yet satisfying. This place even has specialty drinks. It's opens from 7am-2pm check store hours daily. Dine in, curbside pick up; no deliveries. read more
