Visited this quaint Rosenberg restaurant located on a corner directly across from the Railroad Museum. Convenient parking is available on the street in front. 5/5 It has a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with both friendly owner and staff. 5/5 Ordered a fried chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread, lettuce and a tomato, ruffles $10.75, and a side of fruit $3.75 4/5. The sandwich was dry. Requested mayo from staff. Reasonably priced total $15.70.

The customer service was great! A very friendly staff. I sat at the bar area with my son and had ice cream. We'll be back for sure.

Went here with a friend after exploring the antique stores all along the street and it's a really cute place! When you step into the place it feels like you stepped into a retro soda shop just like the name implies! The food itself was okay,I got the tenders while my friend got the club sandwich. The service was really good, workers were friendly and nice. The main draw of this place is definitely the desserts though. I got the hot fudge sundae and my friend got the single scoop ice cream. Only downside to this place is that it closes at 5pm just like the surrounding shops, but other than that great place. Nice place to end your day after exploring the Rosenberg area!

Chicken Strips and Adult Grilled Cheese

This is my 3rd time visiting. The menu is very small and delicious they do blue plate specials which happened to be pot roast today. I got chicken tenders and an adult grilled cheese. The dessert seems to be everyone's go to I just couldn't find my self to order after all the food! It's a very vintage style restaurant definitely will be back our server was amazing as well.

Service was amazing, food was reasonably priced, especially for today. The taste is what you would hope for, get the Blue plate, you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is old time diner feeling, but nice I have to say.

Best burger and sweet potato fries a gal can ask for. The burger was not too greasy that it drips but juicy that it was savory. Veggies inside (lettuce, tomato and pickles) were fresh and crisp. Husband had the same thing but with regular fries and they were also delicious. We shared a malt and felt like we were taken back to a different time. The decoration of the history is really neat

Banana split

The girls behind the counter lacked customer service, it seemed that they did not want to be there. As far as the food goes, the banana split is my favorite here's My husband had the salad My niece had the grilled cheese with fries I had the strips with onion rings My limeade and the lemonade were delicious. I understand what businesses are going through when it comes to customer service, is hard to find people that want to work and deliver good service Im giving it a 5 because of the food and how quick it came out.

Well arranged counter area. Very clean!

We just went in for coffee this morning, after we got our cookie from them during the Rosenberg Cookie Walk Downtown. Everyone was kind and engaging. Watched as the young man behind the counter skillfully made a banana split. We've eaten there in the past, and will eat there again.

Stopped here for a quick lunch and some yummy ice cream shake... it was soooo good. The service was really attentive and nice. Our waitress was a very sweet young lady and which made our visit more impressive.

I would highly recommend this joint in Richmond for families w young kids as it's a good casual restaurant w kid friendly menu. After enjoying the train museum across the street we settled down with our younger 2 in here around prime lunchtime on a Sat. The restaurant is aptly named as the decor and menu are definitely reminiscent of the 50s diner in a good way. I tried the chili dogs and my husband had the Texas cheese steak. Both meals were yummy if not particularly unique and the kids had their (generously portioned and fresh) kids meals. This was our second time coming and I would say I enjoyed this meal over the chicken salad sandwich I had the first time. Don't forget the desserts either. They can split their milkshakes 4 ways which we did the first time and loved-perfectly sized portion for 1. This time we split the brownie sundae and it was highly enjoyed by all of us. Both times the service was very slow, although the waitresses are sweet. Waited over 20-30 min just for kids meals which actually came out w our food. This was after a 20 min wait to place in orders. Good value for the food.

Can never go wrong with breakfast tacos! And this is the spot to go for them. This morning we got…read morethe sausage egg and cheese tacos as well as the Brad tacos that had bacon, egg, cheese, and beans. Maybe it's the authentic tortillas or the largely filled tacos. Definitely was a bang for our buck. Got a single pancake on the side and that filled the sweet tooth. Additionally, this spot is down in Rosenberg and has been here for years. It's a local spot with hospitable service. The decor was probably my favorite spot, really wrote the history of the place. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu because there's really something for everybody.

It was busy on a Sunday for breakfast. I got a few breakfast tacos and some menudo to try. The breakfast tacos were gigantic, on soft and fluffy handmade tortillas. They were filled to the brim. I got a Gerald, mexican eggs and bacon, a bacon, egg, and potato, and 1 barbacoa. They were all delicious and the salsas were so good. I am not a big menudo fan but theirs is tasty, rich, loaded with tripe, hominy, and the broth was red from the chilis. I also tried some of the pancakes, so warm fluffy and delicious. The service was polite and nice, ambiance - you can spend hours reading everything on the walls. If you're in the area, come here for breakfast!

My husband and I came here last night for dinner and upon walking in, I wasn't too excited with the…read morelayout. It was self seating but the way the rooms are split up, we weren't 100% sure where we were allowed to sit and no one was in the front greeting anyone as they come in so you couldn't really ask questions unless you go to the bar first which was located towards the back. The tables were all dirty so we picked the least dirty table which still had crumbs all over it but we just tried to wipe them away as best as we could. The customers who came in after us picked the table next to us which was dirty as well but their server went and wiped it down for them which was nice. Our server was kind and answered all of our questions and we did inform her it was our first time so she suggested a few appetizers and we started with French Onion Dip. It was TO DIE FOR! The tortilla chips it comes with were perfectly crisped and salted and it hit all the right flavors. The food? Oh my word. The servings are MASSIVE. My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak with a side of onion rings and it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken Cobb salad with a side of their Brussel sprouts. The chicken Cobb salad came with two small scoops of chicken salad and it was so light and refreshing and nothing like any other chicken salad I've ever had! Our server brought me a little bit of Parmesan cheese to top off the Brussel sprouts with and it was so good. All in all, the food was a hit! I wish I remembered to try the broccoli and cheese soup so we will be back in the future. Definitely recommend. We don't understand how Sandy McGee's only has a 3.7 rating after trying this spot out!
