We have dined here a few times.. the food is five stars.. we have had the Mexican sub, hamburgers and chicken salad sandwiches.. but recently we ordered the pizza and wings. My family and I tried Joey's for the first time yesterday and it's absolutely delicious. We got the cheese pizza and Philly cheesesteak with fries. The cheesesteak is a must try. It's very flavorful and savory. The onions and peppers are the exact texture you want in a cheesesteak. The fries are breaded and delicious! The cheese pizza was amazing. We even had left overs and it's just as good in the oven the next day as it was fresh. The family who works there is very nice and gave great customer service. The restaurant is clean and if you wanted to dine in, there are plenty of tables. We will definitely be back and can't wait to try more of their menu!! read more

Wow. This is a hidden gem for subs! One of the best Reuben sandwiches I've had. I typically add onion & tomato to my Rueben & they have a Joey's Ruben that already comes with that plus avocado. The corned beef meat is so tender & full of flavor and the added veggies & sauce just set this sandwich off I loved my sandwich so much I came back the next week to get another Ruben & also got the Italian sub. This sandwich was also incredibly delicious! One of the meats was a little greasy/juicy so the sandwich drips but it is so, so good! Service is great. The lady taking our order was super friendly. Amazing food, customer service, and overall quality. Rola was absolutely phenomenal, such a sweet person and gave us great recommendations. The food was so delicious, we got the cheese pizza that was so flavorful and had a great crust for our kiddo. We both decided to get the Mexican Philly cheesesteak with fries and wow it was so good! Great flavor, great spice! The portion sizes were perfect, but we couldn't even finish our sandwiches. The inside was nice and authentic with plenty of seating. Great little gem, good fresh NY style deli. They have other things like wraps and wings. I love the Pastrami.

Our first visit (saw the 5 stars on yelp and had to give it a try) we tried a variety of things. We had cheese pizza , garlic knots, a pastrami on rye and a chicken cutlet sub. All items were incredible. Breads and doughs were flavorful, my young child ATE the pizza crusts which was shocking but a testament to how chewy good the pizza was. The sandwiches were enormous and packed with meat and cold crisp veggies. The chicken cutlet sub could Easily feed 2 people Fries were extra crispy but had to take a backseat so i could fit in more sandwich and some of the kids pizza. Staff if SUPER friendly and helpful, restaurant is really clean and tidy. We'll be back and will prob work our way thru the menu read more

Stopped here for lunch and was pleased with the size, quality, and especially the taste of the sandwich. I had a turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese instead of the American cheese. The sub was huge and a real bargain for the price. The ladies at the counter were friendly and polite and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The restaurant itself is very simple, but clean, and there was plenty of seating. I'm definitely going back, as this is ten times better than a certain sandwich chain. read more

We have eaten here twice and take-out quite a bit. It's the best pizza ever. You can taste the difference between theirs and a chain pizzeria. Pizza is think and lots of flavor. Located right next door to the post office in Rosenberg. We always support local business prior to going to a chain. We ordered 4 large pizza's and they gave us garlic knots and free 2 liter. We took them for a birthday party. Everyone there wanted to know where did it come from. I hope they have gone to eat there. It's a great place a hidden gem. 11/13/2023- They're back open! Service and food is as great as ever. They're in a different part of Rosenberg, but plenty of parking and room to sit. We ordered wings, spaghetti, and a Philly cheese steak. The wings were garlic parm and were fall-off-the-bone tender. Really delicious. Spaghetti was good as always, with the garlic bread on the side as an added bonus. The sandwich was delicious. :) We are so happy to see them back. :) read more

Papa Don't Preach, but I'm about to preach so here goes. This is a cautionary tale. After waiting three years to try this deli I finally tried it a few months ago and it was wonderful. Five stars and I couldn't wait to try everything on the menu. Extremely tasty and one of the best delis in Texas. Houston doesn't even have good delis so this was a real find. Then about a month after I tried it - about a week before I wrote this - it closed down. I'm heartbroken. I hope it comes back, but all the signs say that it is permanently closed. So let this be a warning to you. Try everything as soon as you can. Enjoy it as much as you can. Because you never know when it will be gone. read more

I've been auditioning cheesesteak sandwiches for the past month and Papa Joe served up the best so far. My companion had the chicken parm sandwich and said it's the closest she's had to a real NYC Chicken Parm. Everything is made on primes and is fresh. Oh, the French fries are excellent. I don't know why but the quality of French fries at many restaurants has declined over the last couple of years. The service was warm and friendly. It reflects the mom & pop nature of the shop. I could easily become a regular if it was closer. The ambiance is nice, clean, functional, but a bit spartan. Overall eating there was worth the 30 minute drive. I'm certain I'll be returning to try their Ruben. read more

What a delightful dining experience! I enjoyed this sandwich so much. I ordered the "alternative" New York Rueben and it came with lettuce, onion, avocado, cucumber and sauerkraut as opposed to a basic Reuben.
