Per service director Vegas and service advisor Jacob Ochoa General Motors vehicles are not designed to operate in the extreme conditions in the antelope valley and need extra maintenance not in the service manual. If that were true General Motors vehicles should not be sold in the Av or they should advise customers there maintenance is going to be expensive prior to buying a vehicle. General Motors does engineer vehicles for extreme conditions but this dealer wants to upsell you on any maintenance they can make money on even if you don't need it. They told my wife and I that our 2020 GMC Sierra with 80% brake pad life needed a brake fluid exchange along with other maintenance that is not required or recommended by General Motors. When I called them out I was basically called stupid by the service director and I kindly hung the phone up and was enlightened on the scam being ran at this dealer. I grew up with a father that did brake testing and engineering at Delphi automotive for GM and I attended Pierce colleges automotive department programs. This is a scam I have been taught my whole life and learned in college. They prey on woman and people that do not know about cars. Avoid this dealer service department. If you can't before you say yes to any service that is not in your maintenance manual get a second opinion. Then you take the time, drive to the dealership and they will talk about anything but - the prize. They also insist on your ID - BEFORE - they can tell you if you won or not. We have been talking about getting a new car for awhile. On the day we showed up to Antelope Valley Chevrolet we just wanted to look at the Chevy Traverse. We already knew we liked Honda Pilot so we were comparing. To me buying a new car is a headache from pushy salespeople and the amount of time it takes to complete the process. We pulled up to park and a salesman was already at our car. We explained what we were looking for and proceeded to look at many cars. We had questions and a good amount couldn't be answered by the salesman and it was obvious he was new and still learning. We all have to start somewhere so that wasn't the issue. I would have liked him to say, I don't know but let me find out. I also like when we test drive to go alone especially during Covid. He went with us. We test drove the Chevy Traverse and were liking it more than the Honda Pilot. As we walked up to the front of the dealership there was the most beautiful 2021 RS. Another salesman walked up and started answering questions that the other one didn't know the answers to. I was happy when he took over because I felt more confident in spending that kind of money from someone who is a seasoned salesman. We went inside and started the paperwork. The whole thing took 7 hours. The salesman that was still new was awesome helping me learn the control panel and explaining all the buttons to me. I was able to drive home my new car that night. So now the con about the purchase. No floor mats, how do you sell a car brand new and no mats? We are trying to keep the carpet really clean but we went to the beach and some other outings and they are getting dirty. So we have a due bill that was written up later because we went in to request they take mats from another car. That was the 25th of April. Still nothing. Nick was our salesman and he wasn't pushy or annoying like some. I would definitely ask for him if you are in need of a new car. I made an appointment and brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. My appointment was for 8:00 this morning, yet I am still sitting here waiting for my car at 1:00 PM. It's not done. Also, I just found out that they don't wash the vehicle anymore. I think $100+ for an oil change should be completed much more efficiently, and I was really disappointed about the car wash. I already take my vehicle elsewhere for ALL other services; from now on I will take it elsewhere for oil changes as well. The service advisor is nice. The sales staff are nice, but the service department is unacceptable. Edit: The service advisor, Karan, explained the issue they were having and made amends. I purchased a new 2022 chevy silverado 3500hd from this dealership. They said it came with the ceramic coating and is has a warranty for 7 years against water spots and fading. Well i got water spots i cloud not get out. so i took it in to the service advisor victoria. Not sure where to even begin. Over the Thanksgiving day weekend, I got in touch with Johnny who said he'll get back to me when he called about a lead. After a few hours of no response, I had connected with George on a Chevy Equinox lease. After we exchanged a few negotiations, I had agreed to the price of the Drive off of $2,499. I had confirmed with him if it's $2,499 and he said yes. He had held the car for me until Sunday since the drive from Los Angeles to AV is 75 miles EACH WAY. I had set up an appointment to come into the dealership at 12pm Sunday and right around 8am I knew that this 2 hour drive (craziest weekend of the year) I was running late and would show up at 2pm instead. I had called the dealership several times when they opened to inform them I was coming in late and the receptionist was very unprofessional and rude. About an hour later, I had got a call from George all hot and bothered that he had to come in on his day off to work out some numbers about our trade in. When it was all set and done it was around 1:50pm and I was already 10 miles away from the dealership. I had pleaded to George I am coming to meet him and thank him and he told me "no, I don't have time and I am leaving". So by the time I got there George stormed off and I was very confused they way he reacted in this situation. Something seemed unreal. I was greeted by Johnny at the front when he told us that George had taken off after I told him we are coming. Johnny took my dad to the Equinox that we agreed on and once we got to the car, Johnny ran to the front of the seat with my dad and locked the doors for a test drive without me. After the test drive we go instead and the quote we were given was different from the Original $2,499 Due at Signing and was presented $2,999. I was very upset after I had a messaged confirming with George if it was $2,499 and he agreed. The manager I believe his name was Mark did not believe me after I showed him that this is what George said. He goes this is our price, it always has been our price. So after all this non-sense, I highly suggest avoiding this dealership at all cost. It is ran poorly with no accountability whatsoever. Johnny and George are terrible salesman's with no customer service. They'll get you to come to the door with no backbone. Never go to a dealership until you have everything in writing. read more

When dropping off our vehicle the service advisor basically tells us there are no technicians with the qualifications to do the service for our vehicle. Regarding service department repairs rather than sales. Had repairs done in March which in my opinion took an excessively long period of time. Asked to have my vehicle gone over for all preventative maintenance. Found several problems and repaired but missed issues that should have been detected in the diagnostics. Return the vehicle to them within a week and was told it still required repairs that would amount to $1300.00. An ad for a 22' Silverado priced at a special $44k listing advertised with pictures and when I arrived the sales guy said there's an addendum that's not reflected online and vehicle is priced at $72k. $4k market adjustment mark up plus they forgot to put the $13k lift kit on the online ad and said it wasn't updated yet while clearly pictures were current. Week later and price is still not accurate. No sign of addendum on the online add and currently listed at the $58k without an addendum showing the $72k price tag. Fail. Big fail. read more

If you expect to receive a run around with all car dealerships then you won't be surprised at Antelope Valley Chevrolet. I'm very disappointed after wasting hours, trying to purchase a suburban. My sales person Kweku said his manager had agreed to remove the market adjustment of $2900 off the price. I provided my credit card to place a deposit with the manager Nina and was excited to tell my wife we'd be getting her a new car on her anniversary. After looking more closely at the pricing estimate, I realized the $2900 market adjustment had not been removed. Kweku said this was an oversight that he had missed. In fact, the manager refused to remove it, going back on what has been committed. She made a reduction, but would not honor the agreement that prompted me to place the deposit, keeping the adjustment at $1900. I wanted to buy this vehicle, but walked away after wasting hours when Nina would not hold to the commitment. I would avoid this dealership unless you have absolutely no other options. My deposit was returned but the hours are lost and I'd skip emotional roller coaster. UPDATE: In spite of my frustration and principle I did buy a car from the dealership, but really that was about making my wife happy and deciding the runaround and price difference by this dealership should not get in the way of that. Jack, while I acknowledge your public reply I reached out to you directly by email and through your public relations manager as soon as I posted this review and before the post below. So to me it feels insincere. I didn't hear back. If you want to make this right, I ask you to have your dealership do what they should have done originally. Hold to the word of your team. While manager Nina reduced the market adjustment down from $2900, she didn't honor Kweku's commitment to remove it completely. She said she would split it with me which she expressed was a generosity rather than a breech of commitment. Apparently this was all a miscommunication between Kweku and Nina but there was no miscommunication between me and Kweku (I emailed you the screen shot of our text thread.). As a customer that seems like it should be your problem. Not mine. By my math and the math of your finance manager Eric the adjustment finally landed at a seemingly random $820 dollars. I was glad it was less than where we started or the $1450 I agreed to (for my wife's sake) but I can't endorse anything about how this went down. As a manager myself, if my team commits to something and it's possible to make it happen, we do it. Even if we lose money. So the idea Nina refused to honor a commitment that simply meant making less profit still leaves me feeling wronged. (the adjustment is pure gravy!!). I bought the non-optional, huge-profit-for-you dealer add ons on an expensive SUV so there was no need to keep the adjustment other than the fact that your experienced managers (Nina has been in the car business a long time she said) would rather get additional profit out of me than hold to your word. (This one had the color my wife wanted) sales rep put me on hold to see what they car do and said they would match it but after he spoke to sales manager when I asked about for the out the door price they added $2,500 in accessories. (Which they didn't care came with what all the other cars came with) I told them I didn't want accessories they said it must be purchased with car and can't be removed. I have been waiting for a refund check and nothing yet. Please inspect your tires prior to doing rotations. They'll simply charge you without doing the work. My vehicle was in service the first week of January. It was picked up a week later, I was billed for a tire rotation I requested, but the work was never done. I have gotten in contact with Jacob (my service advisor) he's been giving me the run around about waiting for a refund check to be approved and promising call backs with updates.
