i had a horrible experience with this outfit...had a 9am appointment to have the ambient air temp sensor replace as it read 101 outside temp all the time. to me a appointment at 9 am means they will start work on my car at 9am.....car sat there for two dam days before being worked on. now the dam temp reads 88 all the time...i am leasing the car and had plans to keep it once the lease was up;;;;;not any more....be damned if ill be giving this kind of treatment again... read more

I recently had a very bad car buying experience with an unnamed Ram dealership; which made me want to get a Chevy even more. I came to Yelp since I had made the mistake of not checking first when visiting Ram. I'm not going to lie, the reviews here were concerning; however, not accurate in my case at all. I found AV Chevy to have the best prices on the 2020 Silverado 2500 trucks in Southern California and trust me I looked at every website for weeks! I was concerned since I live almost 52 miles away from the dealership that as soon as I got there; they would screw me over. I asked a ton of questions to their Internet Salesperson that contacted me via email; Erik Pacheco. Erik was more than patient with me finding different trucks, different options, finding out information quickly, and the whole time I never promised to buy anything. Our conversations went on for over a week till I was satisfied AV Chevy had the truck I was going to buy. I had to cancel on Erik multiple times as the drive was far, but finally, I made the trip. Erik made sure everything was ready and he wasn't even at the dealership when I arrived. He set up the deal to sell me the truck on his birthday, but he left me in the good hands of Gregory Grimes. When I arrived at the dealership, 2 hours before the closed, Gregory welcomed my wife and I and explained Erik wasn't there. I'm sure he saw my heart drop as I thought this deal wasn't going to happen, but he reassured me he would take care of us. Gregory showed us the truck, took us for a test drive, explained everything to me and made sure this was the truck. Then we started the long paperwork process of where you get screwed over by the dealership. Nope! He brought out the quote Erik gave me and started the process. I already knew about some of the add ons that I would have to pay for, but nothing hidden. I asked a few questions, but everything was exactly as I asked for with Erik. We had the paperwork signed and I was in my truck within hours. Gregory was super helpful in going over the features of the truck and making sure we were happy. This was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had and I HIGHLY recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Chevy. Gregory even went out of his way the next morning to send me some videos on towing and using the 4 wheel drive features. This is my 2nd visit to AV Chevy but 1st time having them do any sort of service for me. I walked away the 1st time due to price of oil change being more expensive than other dealerships in the SFV. 2nd Visit, my car's radiator fan and thermostat was having issues, and so I brought my car into AV Chevy. I was greeted by Steven; just let me say this guy is very attentive, helpful, and friendly. I always felt nervous taking my car into the dealerships due to horror stories, but I felt reassured with Steven as my service advisor. It was a completely different experience than my 1st visit a year go, it would be wise for the dealership to give this man a raise and keep him. For the most part, Steven also addressed my other questions and concerns about my car. I got my car back after 1 day and the issue it went in for is now fixed. Thank God my fiancé worked in banking so he knows what a credit application is. As soon he saw it he said we're not doing any of the credit application and stated to the representative that this practice is very illegal. He goes and brings us $3 and says this is all we won. And asks again "are you guys sure you're not interested in a car" I just at the moment thought I wonder how many people got lied to just like us. Scam! We received a promotional game card in the mail. After interacting with the game piece, it said we won $2,500 so we called to confirm as instructed. We also called the dealership directly to make sure the promotion was legit & told them it's 1.5 hour drive to get there. The people at Antelope Valley Chevrolet dealership said it was and that we had to show up in person. Once there, they said, no we didn't win $2,500 as marked on the card. They had to look up the "claim code" on the card to see how much we won. We won $3. It was a 140 mile, 3 hour round trip when gas is $6 per gallon. Showed up for a simple warranty repair for previously ordered parts and a diagnostic only to be told by Jacob Ochoa that the part shouldn't be warrantied. Further conversation with Jacob lead to $750 in recommended services. One of them was the air filter which showed %80 on the vehicle sensor. Other services offered are not recommended by GMC or in the app. Jacob became very arrogant and rude when I deferred to my husband and was not willing to agree to the services. The previously agreed to warranty repair was completed but the diagnostic was not because they did not have time. How did they have time to do $750 in services but not time to diagnose an infotainment system. The warranty repair performed was the center console coating which started to bubble and peal last summer. Two other service advisors let me know it would be covered under warranty and even ordered the part. Jacob not only told me it shouldn't be covered under warranty but accused me of "picking at it". We do not pick at our $50,000 truck. After receiving the truck back the center console was repaired but now there are 3 pick marks on the steering wheel with the same coating. I would have obviously addressed this when I brought the truck in for the same center console issue - I 100% believe the steering wheel damage was intentionally done secondarily at this dealer. Oh and FYI, my husband is missing his index finger, which would have caused this damage to begin with if he was "picking" at it while holding the wheel. read more

I am a 30 year Chevrolet/GM loyal customer. If I could give less than 1 star, I would! My Son's 2017 Colorado Diesel started having Poor DEF messages, CEL's and limited speed issues, which is common for all diesels with modern emissions controls. I had him drive to AV Chevrolet because he was working in the area. The service writer took it in and was not able to get me a diagnosis until 4 days later. I was OK with that, what I was not good with was with their over $4k cost in their diagnosis. To top it off, they claimed my EXTENDED WARRANTY was only going to cover @ $250 of the $4000. I was spoke to the service writer and her immediate Supervisor to no avail. I remained respectful and let them know I would tow the truck to another Chevy dealer over 90 miles away, 90.4 ,miles to be exact, on my dime. The tow truck arrived the next day and what AV Chevy did next was the worst I have ever encountered in my 50 years of life. They told the tow truck driver, they knew nothing about the tow and the keys were nowhere to be found. My tow driver waited over 45 minutes to have them tell him this BS story. I called immediately and spoke to another service writer since the Manager was not respectful enough to take my call, even though he took it the day before. I was not as respectful this time around. I let him know this is not his fault and I needed to speak to his Manager and I asked for him by name. He would not transfer me over. Long story short, he let me know they did not allow the tow truck driver to take the truck because they wanted to know who was going to pay for the diagnosis fee. I was not happy. They were holding my truck hostage so I would not do the repairs with them. I told them I would gladly pay the fee BUT why was not made aware of this the day before and while the tow truck driver was waiting? I let them know I would pay it and I would call Chevrolet Customer Care as well. Low and behold, 5 minutes later, I get a call back stating they would release the truck, waiving the diagnosis fee and to send the tow truck back. This was no past 4pm so I the tow would happen the next morning. I had it towed on a Friday morning. On Monday, I get the diagnosis from my Chevy dealer who now has the truck and it was a $350.00 sensor issue and would be covered under my extended warranty. The GM extended warranty company, the dealership with the truck and I were dumbfounded with what just took place. Beware of the AV Chevrolet. Get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. I would never give this establishment my business. General Motors, I hope you are paying attention. I am giving a 4 star review because I had scheduled a recall service appt on a Saturday along with an oil change. My appt was at 7:00am and they didn't open til 7:30am. one of the managers who has the opening key had an emergency. I was understanding; things happen, I get it. David was helpful and offered a complimentary oil change due to the inconvenience and because he realized I would have to leave my car there for a few days for the recall service, which he had never seen before, so that had to be rescheduled for another day and required for me to get a rental car. I scheduled for a Wednesday, I was told the rental place opens at 8:30am so I made the appt for that time. once there, I was informed there were no rental cars available and to possibly come back another day. If I could give this dealer zero star, I would. I bought my Bolt brand new from them. I should have learned my lesson right from there. The sales guy knew NOTHING about the electric car. Told me it would take only overnight to charge when it took several days (!) with a standard charger. I had to install a level two charger, which I did. But for weeks I was running out to Honda to charge my car overnight to be able to go to work. Their own dealer didnt even have a charger for their customers. The car didnt have a fast charger which the salesman led me to beleive that it did. Had I known it didnt have a fast charger, I would not have purchased the car. Now to their service department: dismal at best. I had to take my car in because the USB charger in the mid console wasnt working. The first time, I was told their tech wasnt there on Saturday so bring it back on a weekday. Brought it back on a weekday. They didnt have the parts it needed so they would need to order it. While there, I SPECIFICALLY asked them not to reduced my charge capacity to 80% because I need the 100% to be able to commute to work; I was aware of the battery recall and wanted to opt out. So guess what they did? They didnt fix my USB (the reason why I brought the car in) but they reduced my charge capacity instead - which I specifically asked them NOT to do. All this time, I was waiting for the part to come in so they could fix my USB charge. I called several times, was told it wasnt in, then finally informed that it was in and to bring my car in. I brought my car in - this is the THIRD time now, and the service agent I had been communicating with is out due to covid. I communicated with him on Monday, on Tuesday - he told me the part arrive, so I brought the car in on Friday - had to take a day off work for this. The agent who was assigned to me looked up the part I supposedly was waiting for and said it had been sold to someone else because it had been there for a month without being claimed!!!!!!! What. THE. F??????????? I was ballistic so i asked to talk to the manager. The manager sat in the chair like a lump of flesh. All he could say was "would you like me to look into it?". ya think????! DONT BUY YOUR CAR HERE. They're just a bunch of crooks who just want to sell you a car, then you're on your own, SOL. And dont bring your car for service here either. First time I brought my 2021 Tahoe here for a simple oil change, they said the tire rotation was done. Well we have 22's on the Tahoe that need a special key to take them off. No one called to ask where that key was, but they sure in the hell checked off that the tire rotation was done! We also had a scuff mark on one side of the rims that was still there when I got my truck back. Second time I went in for the next oil change, I was charged for an alignment that was never done! I had previously written a surprisingly good review for this Chevy and it was ALL thanks to your service Advisor Robert C. Today I called in to make an appointment but was told Robert C was no longer working there. After making a few phone calls I learned he was terminated. I can't fathom what is going on with the management of this Chevy! When we bought our Tahoe we tried to buy locally from this dealer but your sales people are beyond rude. We left Lancaster and drove straight to Valencia and we found an amazing salesman and bought our Tahoe. Everyone in this valley talks about how shitty Lancaster Chevy is and based on my experience I do agree but I figured I'd try you guys out for just the service aspect. First visit I was unimpressed. The second visit I got Robert C and I was overjoyed and his appreciation for his job was top notch. I felt as if I could make the relationship with Lancaster Chevy work. We've even been dropping by looking for a 2500 Diesel truck here and there. The ONLY reason we were going to buy another Chevy was because I thought this dealership had finally pulled their shit together. But I was wrong! After I sell this Tahoe I will never buy another Chevy product. Reading all these other recent negative comments has validated my choice. Also your "mascot" of the cartoon figure that's shoved down your throat once you walk into the showroom is the lamest thing I have ever seen. However, she called 3/31 left a voicemail for him, then called back today 4/1 because no one called her back. The customer service transferred her to Richards desk and someone answered saying he no longer works for the company. I received a response from the GM via my yelp review requesting that I reach out to him however he left no contact information. My mother has actually reached out to him previously and received no response. If you see your customers are having issues, I believe the proper thing to do is, reach out to them as you've had their car for 2.5 months. I am not one to typically write reviews. But my experience was so awful here, I want to forewarn you all about this dealership, as this isn't my first bad experience with them. I took my car to chevy because my check engine light was on. I had an appointment at 730 AM to get it checked out and was told I would be getting updates as the day goes on. 2:30 PM rolls around... 7 hours later and I still haven't heard a word. I call to check in on my vehicle and I am told they found a small problem with my vehicle and they are trying to get authorization from my warranty company. 4PM... still NOTHING! So I call back AGAIN and am told they are still waiting to hear back from my warranty company, at this point I am concerned and tell Rick (my service advisor) I need to make sure I get my car back today due to me having obligations the following day. Rick tells me not to worry, and that he doesn't leave until he gets everything finished. After speaking to Rick for the third time I decide to leave matters to him because I THOUGHT he would be professional and handle the situation accordingly. At this point, it is now 6:30PM and I still haven't heard anything, so I decide to go into the dealership myself to see what is up. I arrive at Chevy and I soon notice the service department left to go home for the day... I tell a salesman what is going on, and he goes to check for my keys. He soon comes back and tells me my keys have not been left and my vehicle is stuck in the back. I didn't get a call until the next morning at 9AM, and Rick pretty much told me tough luck, and he wasn't able to get back to me because it got hectic the day before... the lack of professionalism was unreal. The repair wasn't complete until 5 pm the following day... I do not recommend this dealer's Service department. TLDR; tried scamming me with the interest rate. And zero communication on fixing damages to vehicle after leaving the lot that had been written and verbally agreed upon before officially purchasing and driving off the lot. Bought a new Chevy Colorado on Labor Day, September 4th. I live in Vegas and made the deal over the phone at an agreed upon 5.9% interest rate. Drive out there and all of a sudden "the bank" changed It to 6.9, on Labor Day... when they're closed.... So I pull out of the deal, the dealer "fixes It" and gets me down to the 5.9% apr. Annoying and frustrating to say the least, but we worked It out eventually so all good. But the real problem is that I had pointed out THREE spots of damage on the car. And after trying to distract me and get me to forget about It, they finally take notice and write them up to be fixed. One was a paint chip that got poorly touched up that day, not a huge deal as it's small enough to not be easily noticed. But second and third is that the drivers air bag had a cut in It, and the front fascia trim also has a scratch and paint taken off of it. Both of which still have yet to be fixed over a month later. I've called Nina a bunch of times and conveniently she is always not around to talk and will not return my calls after leaving several messages. The body shop and dealer here in Vegas that are supposed to fix the issue also have tried calling her and cannot get ahold of her. I feel bad for the salesman James who has turned into the middle man for me with these issues. He has been nothing but helpful and nice to me. Not sure what's going on with management, but It sure would be nice to have a little communication from them. I've told them I'm willing to even just take some Chevy rewards points, reimburse me for the damages, or even just let me order the parts myself and reimburse me for the cost. read more

Will be taking my care elsewhere for all services from now on, waiting 3 hours for an oil change is unacceptable, staff wouldn't give me an update, why make an appointment if they're not gonna start on my car until 3 hours later. In January 2023 my wife and I purchased a 2015 silverado 3500 from AV Chevrolet. Paid a little over 70k for it. It had 80k miles on it and was in great shape, or so we thought. 6 months later a check engine light appeared. I wasn't worried since I had purchased an extended warranty. It was determined the catalytic converter was creating too much back pressure and needed to be replaced. The extended warranty I was sold refused to cover it, so the service department contacted GM corporate to see if they would assist, as a courtesy, with the almost $4000 bill. GM corporate offered nothing! So here I am today, as I write this, sitting in a tow truck having my truck towed home after paying AV Chevrolet 249 dollars to do almost nothing. No offer from the dealer to help, no offer from corporate to help, and no offer from service to help. You would think after purchasing 3 other chevrolets I would be seen as loyal and someone would at least be able to help a little. I will never return to this dealer and most likely never work with GM again. Poor customer retention and outrageously expensive service department. Thanks for nothing.
