Three stars feels fair. Came in for lunch, had to have been the first person that walked through the door, all employees sitting around with their head down looking at their phones. I sat at the bar and watched bar rescue... lol ... Order chowder. I enjoyed it for it being on the thinner side. Would be perfect in a bread bowl. Had the steak bomb wrap on wheat, no tomato with extra cheese. I was expecting to burn the roof of my mouth and instead I looked at the unmelted cheese and was bummed. Sweet potato fries were good, pretty hefty portion of them. Carrot cake is decent, little on the dry side. I'm full and that's what I was hoping for. read more

We went for the happy hour specials. There were none except $8 margs and $9 old fashions. There were two patrons yelling across tables at each other as the waitstaff spoke loudly about other businesses in town (sharing information that was not flattering about the other establishments). The apps we ordered were mediocre - very greasy boneless wings served with two gross celery sticks and a Ken's container of blue cheese and soggy potato skins. High-back booths, wide plank floors, nice color scheme. But you can't eat any of that, so let's get right to the food. "Bones" ordered a small pizza with four toppings - sausage, onions, mushrooms, and roasted green peppers. I ordered a small chicken parm w peppers and sauce. Service was good and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. "Bones" initially rated his pizza as a 4.5, but later changed it to a 4. I thought he was being generous. In my opinion, the pizza was very "wet", i.e., greasy and also a tad doughy. Definitely not thin crust. Plus, expensive at $1 extra for each topping, on a small pie. I had a slice, and would've rated it 3. My chick parm was good, not great. The bread overwhelmed the chicken. The sauce was also a little on the sweet side. We ordered pizzas for my grandson's birthday. The pizza was so bad that even a bunch of 11 year old boys wanted nothing to do with it. They were sheet pizzas. One had one side burnt and the other practically raw. Not sure how that happened. The other two were greasy and quite frankly gross. I am not sure how any restaurant could send 3 sheet pizzas this bad. It would have been bad if one was not edible but when you send 3 it says a lot about quality control and whether or not you even care. read more

We were seated at 5:45 on a Wednesday, party of 2. I asked for lemon with my water, and then had to ask 3 more times until I finally got it. Service was super slow. We ordered 1 large pizza and 1/2 grinder. Waitress stopped by the table at 10 of 7 and asked how we were, we were both done eating, had been for awhile, and replied we are all set. She came back 15 minutes later and asked the same question ‍. We paid cash and when our change came back at 7:15 there were no coins, just paper money. Is $.48 going to kill me? Absolutely not but at that point it just added insult to injury. An hour and a half for a pizza and 1/2 grinder is about double what it should be. The soup was not super hot and they half poured our "bowl" for $4.99 Pizza was delicious fresh and great sauce etc. I had an antipasto with the house made creamy garlic dressing. Was really good. Been going there since they opened all Italian restaurants when you order an anti-pasta it usually comes with a few green, hot peppers and meats ,cheese pepperoni and so forth. I told the waitress make sure I get a couple of hot peppers which she did we usually spend anywhere from $50-$70 there every time we go they had the audacity to add $.75 for the green peppers on the anti-pasta. this cost, them the rest of my business there I will never go there again. read more

I asked about the Antipasti, we all know places make them different I didn't want a Chef Salad her response was "Whats usually in a antipasti, while rolling her eyes, I then asked about a sandwich ordered a Ruben without sauerkraut . Oh Lordy, everything annoyed her. We ate, when finished and we we're ready to pay and leave she turned on "charm". I have been waiting to try this new restaurant which has only been open for 3 weeks. I was interested in the pizza based on the owners previous affliation with nearby Ann's Pizza & Restaurant. With pizza in mind, I perused the menu but was rather shocked and dismayed that there were no "Luncheon Specials" based on the dinner entre menu. Apps, soups, sandwiches, pizza, subs, salads etc. but no smaller luncheon type meals. I for one always appreciate a smaller portion size for lunch rather than a full dinner entre. Often a smaller portion is a decision maker for me as to whether I wish to return for dinner. Now for the pizza, I must say it was quite similar to Ann's which is a very good thing as Ann's had one of the best Greek pies in the area. The pan pie crust was exceptional, almost as good has Ann's, the combination of mozzarella and cheddar cheese with fresh onions, peppers and mushroom toppings solidifies this pizza pie as the best Greek pizza in the area. I know you're wondering about Ann's, John the previous owner retired; sold the restaurant but it hasn't lived up to John's standard. Now as you can see, there is a new Greek Pizza sheriff in town, stop by Anthony's and see if you don't agree!! read more

Disappointed! I really wanted to like this place as my wife & kids brought me here for a Father's day dinner. I immediately noticed, service is incredibly SLOW! I ordered a Shrimp scampi dinner with Angel Hair pasta and a side cup of Clam chowder, my wife had chicken francese, and the kids ordered pizza. My soup was just OK. It tasted a bit on the watery side, (but I ate it anyways). The dinners came to the table nice and hot (there's a plus). My shrimp scampi came with linguine instead of Angel Hair pasta. When I brought this to the waitresses attention her reply was "Oh that's right - You want an angel here pasta, Do you want me to bring it back"? A good waitress would have taken it back to the kitchen without question. So begrudgingly I said, "NO - It's fine." Then the waitress replied "okay" and walked away. My wife's chicken francese was very bland. It had no spice to it and No lemon butter sauce. Very dry. The pizza that the kids ordered tasted exactly like Anne's pizza on the other side of town. Hey I get it, the owner used to work at Anne's for many years. But you'd think he would change up the recipe so it doesn't taste exactly like another restaurant. The Menu says: All pasta dishes come with choice of soup or salad AND GARLIC BREAD. When the garlic bread didn't show up on the table, we ordered a side of garlic bread for the table. This should have raised a red flag with the waitress, but she didn't flinch - she just added that to the bill. If that wasn't bad enough the garlic bread SUCKED! Instead of using French or Italian bread, they use a Kaiser roll. Smeared way too much garlic butter on it and warmed it up, It wasn't even toasted. That's incredibly pathetic for a brand new restaurant, run by a man that's worked in the restaurant business for decades When dinner came to an end and we wanted to just pay and get out, our waitress was nowhere to be found. We tried to flag down another waitress, who was talking with people at another table. It's fine to make idol chitchat with customers, but this waitress was literally standing there for over 10 minutes in deep conversation. I really have high hopes for any new restaurants that open up in town. But I was so disappointed that I probably won't be returning to Anthony's restaurant when Anne's Pizza is so much closer to my house (and much cheaper). read more

We heard glowing reviews from my sister in law regarding the food at Anthony's, so decided to give them a try. When we first walked in, a waitress was standing at the cash register bad mouthing a waiter to two other waitresses...right in front of waiting customers. First impression wasn't great, but perhaps it was an isolated incident. I ordered the French onion soup and whole belly clams, my wife ordered the chicken wings and my daughter ordered a chicken parm grinder and a side salad. The side salad looked very fresh. My daughter said her grinder was 'ok'. The wings my wife ordered were decent sized and meaty, but definitely frozen and not made in/house. The $33.00 plate of whole bellies were very disappointing. Bland coating and mealy texture, 70% of the plate was French fries. Overall, $80+ for an edible meal for 3. We won't be back. There are so many restaurants in the local area that far exceed the quality, value and atmosphere of Anthony's. read more

A new restaurant that recently opened in Enfield that I've been meaning to try. Pretty standard pizzeria menu but 3 things make this place stand out: 1. There's a nice deck that's both open and protected at the same time; 2. Very attentive staff and 3. Noticeably fresh ingredients. Even on a dreary, rainy day we found sitting on the deck made dinner very pleasant. And we were very well treated by Holly, who was just pleasant, friendly and professional. We had the fried zucchini appetizer and the eggplant & ricotta pizza. The appetizer arrived fresh and hot and tasty. We dug in so fast we forgot to take a picture until we got down to the last stick. Both the zucchini and the eggplant on the pizza were fresh and plump and tasty. Adding ricotta to the pizza was a unique topping making the pizza crispy on the bottom and creamy on top. I ordered the Chicken Picada, which was awful. I sent it back and didn't order anything. My meal came with fries and soup. They CHARGED me $12 for the soup and fries! My meal only cost $18! When asked why, I got from the manager " I have to charge you for something"! I was not the only one at the table eating, so there were plenty of orders for them to charge for. I am so upset that will be my last trip here! Stay away cause heaven forbid you are not a fortune teller and can't eat your soup or salad you until you see if you like the main course! Stopped in based on a review in the local paper. Sat night, 7 PM. No crowd. We were seated and told our server would be with us. Ten minutes later, no server. And when we stood up to leave there were three people standing at the end of the row. Not only were they not serving, there were two tables in front of them that were covered with dishes. Ordered large house pizza. Lots of good toppings and good flavor. Also ordered 20 chicken wings (bone in). I asked ahead of time if they were breaded. Employee said 'no...they are not breaded". I asked again to make sure. "No, our wings are not breaded." WRONG! Got them home and their wings are totally breaded...like super breaded!. They look big and juicy but the amount of meat on them is pitiful. It's all fat and breading. Total rip off. Go for the pizza. Skip the wings (ie bone-in chicken nuggets.). read more

4 Stars due to long wait. It took over 15 minutes for someone to come take my order during a very slow time 3:50PM on a Tuesday. 5 couples at most. Laurie came to let me know that during the shift change I got lost. Acceptable during their first week. I will give them another chance. Big covered outside seating, Ample seating at the bar with one muted TV. Nice selection of music plays so people can talk and not shout at each other. I've heard a couple of people who sound like they will be regulars. All fish and food is cooked to order. My meal was very good (see picture). More people need to order the Baklava. read more

Great evening out. Very generous portions, plan on bringing some home. Meals were all home cooked including Veal Parmesan, Chicken Cacciatore, Lasagna and the Linguini with the white clam sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection. Everyplace you go now, all you hear is how places are short staffed, and can't find good help. Sometimes you wonder why your paying good money when you get less than adequate service. Not at Anthony's. The service was great! We were immediately seated and our waitress Heather was very attentive, humorous, and thorough. They had a large team of folks that worked well together, from different folks bringing out the meals to other people clearing the table. It made for an enjoyable evening. We love this place. We have tried almost all of the pizza places in Enfield and found this to be the best one! We do take out from here regularly and get their pizza and dinners. They also have a buy one large pizza get a small pizza free when you pick up. read more

We were 8 for dinner on a Thursday nite. Most enjoyed the food and drink. However, my wife had the Cod for dinner. The Cod had been previously frozen, making it tough, as opposed to fresh cod. On top of that it was overcooked. She was sorely unhappy with the meal. I had the Pastrami sandwich which has always been good, but whassup for a previously frozen Cod dinner for $24?
