I'm back (finally)! This is my usual stop before playing Pathfinder (every three weeks). For my first drink, I'm having a Boneshaker made with Elijah Craig Bourbon, fresh lime juice, aromatic bitters and cold ginger beer. It's served in a 16oz glass so it's weak but that's how it's served here. This isn't a bar. It's still very good. I like the unique taste. For my first item, I'm having a bowl of soup. This is beef vegetable! It's nice and hot. Oh yeah! This is good! I see beef, carrots, peas, potatoes, onions, etc. It's not overly salty either. That was good! For my entree, I'm having a Sgt Pesto grinder made with grilled turkey, sautéed roasted red peppers, pesto, lettuce, provolone cheese (not for me), tomato, green peppers, onions, jalapeños (lots!), olives, mushrooms, pickles and [lots of] Ludicrous Sauce. This is delicious! I love it! For my last drink, I'm having the Peach Pit Racer (Peach daiquiri) made with white rum, Peach Schnapps and fresh lime juice. Peachtree Schnapps was the first type of liquor I ever consumed. What is this?! A glass of ice water? Like the last drink, it's served in a 16oz glass so it's weak, but I still like the taste! Hadn't been to the new location yet so we thought we'd give it a try. We were linking up for dinner with some friends who had kids and this was the perfect spot to get some good food and keep the kids entertained. Service was excellent and so were the pizzas. Decent pizza, but nothing special. We ordered 3 pizzas - Scamozza Joe, The Johnnymac, and Cheeseburger in Paradise, as well as an entrée of mac n cheese. Our favorite pizza was definitely the cheeseburger in paradise. Fries, hamburger, cheese, ketchup and mustard, yum!!! The flavors all went together perfectly - we added on pickles to make it even better. The Johnnymac was good, but could have been better. Just pizza crust with mac & cheese and tomatoes on top. Maybe if the mac & cheese was higher quality it would have improved the taste. The Scamozza Joe was also just alright, mostly tasted like a plain cheese pizza. When it came, it was almost soupy and lots of the toppings had sloshed around in the box. Last item was the mac & cheese - sadly tasted like Stouffers frozen mac & cheese with some corn flakes crumbled on top - not worth the money. Not sure how Slice works, but that was the platform we ordered delivery from, and our driver was not the most pleasant. He was upset with us because the app did not include our delivery instructions or the correct phone number. We double checked how we placed our order, and everything was correct, so not sure what happened. Overall an OK experience. I honestly have to say I miss the original Randy's Wooster street pizza that was in Burr Corners in Manchester when I was growing up and they were definitely the Best of the Best!! Since then they have moved to 2 different locations it has changed alot! I am not sure if Randy still owns it because if he does Please go back to the way it used to be. Nowadays the pizza is very inconsistent when I order it. I never ever had an issue before but now it's like Dominios pizza which I do not like. Very disappointed!!! read more

I've been on a pizza kick as of late, trying to find a good pie in my area is a little tough. Randy's has always been a staple, they are known as The Pizza joint for families and food enthusiasts alike. Given my recent disappointments in the places I have tried as of late, I decided to give myself a reprieve and go to a place that I know is good. Randy's is a funky little pizza shop next to a BJs and a large package store. They have hot wheels memorbilia hanging everywhere and even hot wheels in the tables at the booths. A wall of fame shows those who bested the challenger, a legendary 10 pound pizza which two people had an hour to best. Given the times, it's more of a memory from good times past. Hopefully there will be a day to watch people take on that monster again. Lately they've been bombarded by their popularity. Lots of pizzas going out and lots of people in the restaurant. This does lead to a long wait for pies to come out and to be delivered. I have seen quite a line of angry doordash delivery drivers waiting. On my last trek we opted for their wings and a small wooster street king. Their wings were crispy and fairly large. The server gave us a sampling of sauces to try and we opted for their Traditional hot, which was this kind of peppery vinegar sauce which was very tasty. The King was a pretty solid pie. Tons of toppings, which almost prevented the slices from being folded. The crust was nice and thin, no soft or doughy spots. the cheese and toppings were plentiful and their red sauce was actually zesty and not overpowering. Overall, it's a good pizza at a good price. They do take a while to get you your food, so be prepared for a wait. Beyond that though, a solid pizza choice for the area. Worth a trek, especially if you need groceries. read more

Atmosphere was great I enjoyed my overall experience and will definitely come back. This is the best pizza I have had in a long time. Let me start off by saying, this pizza is one of our family favorites!We love thin crispy crust and it's always made perfectly. We don't live in the area, and usually get this pizza at the Big E, so we knew what to expect in terms of pizza. We went to the Manchester location a few days ago and again absolutely no disappointment in the pizza. Was so good. Buuuuuut the place was pretty dirty, sticky and grimy. This place needs a good deep clean not surface clean. There was a waitress quickly cleaning down tables (it wasn't busy at all, not like there was a rush) and the chemical smell of whatever she was using was nauseating. It was sooooo overpowering that we could barely eat in the restaurant. Took most of our pizzas to go. Again, this pizza is SO good. We will give it some time and possibly return again when we're in the area in hopes that they've cleaned up. read more

My boyfriend really liked your pizza, and decided to order again. I decided to give it a try since he liked his so much. Well the gluten free menu said there was JoJo's jubilee available, I requested no onions but add olives, it didn't mention the eggplant being breaded or fried but that's what I assume as I didn't get any... instead this is what I got. Soggy prefab crust, over sauces, too many olives (and I do love olives) and just gross. My FB feels guilty and is enjoying his, which I'm glad for. Was around the area so we decided to check out this place. We also had a coupon from one of those mail flyers as well. And the name was recognizable to us since they have a booth/stand at the Big E in the CT building. Came and got a large "Wooster Street King". I think the best part of the pizza was the crust - even better than the New Haven Kings (Sally's, Frank Pepes, Modern). However, their toppings left a lot to be desired. The meatballs were just okay and kind of bland. The pepperonis weren't that numerous. As a pizza that was suppose to have a bunch of different toppings and flavors, it kind of fell flat. The crust was delicious, but the rest of the pizza didn't really taste like anything. The sauce also didn't stand out at all. I feel like there was a lack of it - that or I just really wasn't able to taste it. We had plenty of leftovers (2 people for a large). Overall, not the best pizza I've had and not the worst. But with a Frank Pepe's also in Manchester, I'm not sure I'd be back here when we could opt for Pepe's. Also, there was a decent crowd here, but only one server. read more

I had not been here since they moved to the plaza with BJ's. I remember now why. First, service. I am not sure if we did something to have the wrath of our waitress but everything request seemed like I was bothering her, doing her job. We got the breaded wings. Buffalo. They might have been good when they came out of the oven, but they were served to us cold. I would not call the spice Buffalo either. It is more like a spicy breading, not a sauce. The pizza was good. Thin crust, typical. The "One Bite" app rates it an 8.0. I would say more like a 5.5 - 6.0. Good but the crust is heavier than some better ones in New Haven. This review is difficult for me to right. I pride myself on being a positive reviewer but this experience just can't be written over. We came to Wooster pizza for a Friday night date... 1. We waited by the door for almost 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. It took me standing on my tippy toes trying to look for someone before we were noticed. 2. Once seated, the only waitress took our order quickly, the food took a very long time thought. Our apps took awhile. And then they were not that great. 3. We ordered the Heathers heavenly fries, the sampler, and a small pizza. First, the sodas were gross. We ultimately figured it had to be the water. They were out of corn bites. Fries were great but we thought there would be a cheese sauce. So disappointed on our own part. The sampler was basically stop n shop appetizers plated together. They tasted like the boxes apps you buy for movie night at home. The star of the show was for see the pizza. We were impressed by this only. 4. The services. I was shocked. We saw maybe 4-5 people standing behind the bar, but the main dining room had one waitress that we saw and one person cleaning tables. Stopped in to order a meatball sub. Not on the menu but they have it! Got fries too. Got the meal. One side of the sub had no meatballs in it. Very skimpy helping on the other side . Fries were so so! They allowed a customer named Joe to go into the kitchen. He walked around the place like owned the world One of the cooks ran out of the kitchen carrying a spatula. We order for lunch on a semi regular basis so I am familiar with their food. Todays' Staci's Wrap was disappointing. There was no guac or cheese at all. This is our "go to" pizza place in Manchester. It is always consistent and never fails to hit the spot. We usually go for a small order of mild boneless wings (their buffalo sauce is phenomenal) and a small half cheese / half bacon pizza. The pizza has a very tomato-ey sauce and they are generous with the toppings. YUM Monday is all you can eat pizza and wings for $13. I would recommend the peanut butter bacon wings. Obviously 5 stars, cuz Peanut Butter, Bacon and Provolone Pizza. Yes, for real. If that's not enough to get you here, then the huge menu of other custom pizzas with tons of toppings should. Or maybe the bizarre Hot Wheels motif. Or the little game room from the 90's. Or the fact that it was on Man vs. Food. All of these are excellent reasons to come to this very satisfying pizza joint in an otherwise depressing little mini-mall, but none are as good as that peanut butter and bacon pie. This thing is so peanut buttery and delicious that it feels like that Got Milk commercial where your mouth gets glued shut, but it's so good. It's hard to find on the huge menu (both literally, a large plastic menu, and in the number of items available), so make sure you look for the Skippy's Dare and get it ($15 for a small). The other great pie to get is the Wooster Street King, which is basically just The Man Pie (every meat possible) along with some veggies to make you feel better about yourself (peppers, onions and mushrooms). Each of the smallish slices in the pie are absolutely overloaded with a ton of meat and are really delicious ($16 for a small). This is by no means particularly well-crafted or great pizza, but it is hot, fresh and very satisfying. The service is good and quick, and it's a fun, if a little bit strange kiddie atmosphere with Hot Wheels cars adorning everything. It kinda feels like a time warp back to the 80's, which is obviously great. I would love to try the Man vs. Food challenge here. It's $35 for some kind of massive pie that only 3 pairs of people out of a thousand or so have completed. If you win, you get it for free, along with all that fat guy glory, a shirt or something, and your shame forever immortalized on some wall of champions. Sounds awesome. Aside from the good pizza, the vast menu also includes plenty of fried appetizers, grinders, full meals of typical Italian dishes, and super rich, chocolately looking desserts. There are a ton of things to try here, and I definitely wouldn't mind coming back if I happen to be driving through Route 84. read more

I live super close so I decided to give this another chance and today before ordering I asked if I could purchase a lime I was denied because it had been pre-cut. Stopped to have a Pie with my two boys on Sunday afternoon. Really cool place to take two youngsters as the motiff was cars and they loved it. Some of the booths had glass tops and hot wheels cars under the glass. There is a full sized car on one wall and half a monster truck into another wall. The pizza was good. Thin crust and tasty. Added bonus, waitress brought both boys a brand new hot wheels car! They loved it. Only negative, place could use a good deep clean. Had two very different experiences here so it looks like consistency is an issue. First time I ordered pizza was hot and delicious (I live half mile away) second time delivery was 20 minutes late and pizza was ice cold. Called in for 2 pizzas to go. Was told 30-40 mins. I arrived in 35 minutes, paid and was told it will just be another 5 minutes. 20 minutes later I'm still waiting for the pizza. In my past experience coming to this place the food has been great the place has been nice, clean and a good staff. Yesterday my son and I went there for lunch and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We were seated got drinks and placed order. House salad and a med pizza. when the salad arrived the silverware was dirty 2 times. The salad arrived with a prepackaged salad dressing container in the bowl with the salad. This is not sanitary. When the pizza came over it was on a pan that had seen better days. The pizza quality was not as it has been in the past. Seems like the ingredients are not the same quality. Even though there was a lot of staff we were never checked on for drinks or if we needed anything. Everything about the place is looking run down.
