I ended up at Speedy Smog in Mission Viejo after going to another smog place that said they couldn't do my smog check because the DMV will randomly assign you to needing a star smog check vs. a regular smog check. I wasn't even aware of that. I was a little annoyed that I had to then go to another smog place as I was limited on time but it turned out to be a total blessing in disguise. When I arrived the guy was able to take me right away. He was so kind as he noticed a little stained area on my car and showed me what to use to get it off. I have already tried everything so this made me very happy to hear. He told me what to get but then went ahead and gave me some of it to take with me to use. It had absolutely nothing to do with a smog check so it was incredible to me that he went out of his way by noticing and helping me. *On a side note, while waiting to have my car smogged, I noticed a magazine that caught my eye. It was the story of Billy Graham. I started reading the article and before I knew it my car was done. When I drove away the first car driving it front of me had a sticker that said "Jesus sees you." I happened to have have a Christian radio station playing because as I said, rough day, no joke, the song ends, and the lady on the radio says, "If you're going through a tough time, God is listening, he catches every single tear' So weird!!!

Instead it was on top of the seat. They also didn't bother plugging my phone charger back in. I found it tossed in the back seat. The next day I noticed grease stains all over the interior ceiling. The shop let me bring it back in and cleaned them, but now there are just parts of the fabric with a different texture (and still slightly discolored...) from being scrubbed. When I'm spending $2,000 at a shop, I expect my property to be cared for and not returned to me in a worse condition. I will take my business elsewhere in the future.

They SHOWED me how the rear brakes definitely weren't even close to needing to be replaced. They also pointed out an axle boot leak that appeared to have been leaking for a month or so. No mention of that at the dealer. I had Midas replace the front brakes and the axle boot. There was a computer programming issue with my Jeep after the brake replacement (a measure installed by Chrysler to keep people dependent on the rip-off dealer), but Midas got around it and worked with me on everything.
